Location is fantastic, right at the doorstep of kings cross and surrounds. Hotel itself is very tired and could do with some TLC, cracked tiles dripping taps etc. Room size was good, kitchenette added space. Fresh air as widows opened!
Arrived 26 October - bathroom had cockroaches, mould everywhere and fan vent had clearly not been cleaned in months. As I left for work in the morning I requested a room change but explicitly asked for this to wait until I returned. STAFF ENTERED THE ROOM WITHOUT PERMISSION OR KNOCKING 5 MINUTES LATER AS MY PARTNER WAS GETTING DRESSED. Explained my dissatisfaction at check out and was told they had not even made a note of the issues. At this price there are countless better options nearby.
Stayed here with my husband for four nights. We were very happy with this hotel; it's close to Kings Cross, it has clean and comfortable rooms and free wifi. The room also had some basic cooking facilities (and a fridge), so we could easily make our own breakfast before heading out for the day. For those who want to save a few bucks and make their own meals instead of eating out every day: Coles supermarket is very close to the hotel. The staff was friendly and while this isn't a five-star hotel, it's value for your money! We would definitely stay here again.
Really enjoyed our stay at the Morgans Boutique Hotel. Situated right near Kings Cross. Easy access to buses and the train station. 15 min rid to CBD. The room was very good with cooking facilities and plenty of room.
The apartments are well located from Kings Cross station, there is free wifi and the staff are very friendly. Big and clean rooms with good views across to the city. There is little kitchenette where to prepare food as well as fridge and basic cooking amenities. .
We stayed in room 307 and that had a nice view of the residential area and with sunlight in all rooms ( was important as it rained all 4 days during our stay). The rooms are not big but good for a short stay. The staffs are bit cold at times but professional and provided help as requested. The hotel is very quite and doesn't have any breakfast area. While all rooms were full but we found hardly guests in the reception or the lift..nothing worrying though. The location of the hotel is great. It is just a 4 mins walk from the King cross station and 2mins for any public transport. An Indian restaurant is in the corner and so is the Coles and Subway. Overall had a comfortable stay ...may be bit overpriced.
This hotel is located in a place where it is easy to visit any major tourist attractions. Kitchen amenities are also very helpful. Kings Cross station, many delicious Cafes and supermarket are close by.
Stayed 2 nights while my partner had surgery at st Vincent's private No cockroaches as in previous reviews hairdryer not working shower part broken reported this to staff on departure Received hospital rate of 145 per night Location excellent great for hospital accommodation
after telling a night manager on the phone, that we woke up at 2:00 am by sitting cockroaches on our faces:( Under the bed and in front of the bathroom door. Answer: We have no rooms left, talk to the manager in the morning - he is sleeping now. Luckily my son had an Australian Handy and he booked us a room in an other hotel for that night. Had to pay taxi twice plus more for the night as at the Morgan Hotel. When we arrived back in the morning - hardly slept - we did not get any help or offer to find a new hotel with similar price from the Morgan staff! Only answer : you can leave if you want and we charge you 150$ for the first night (booked 4). I was not willing to pay at all as for the 2 nights left we had to pay last minute prices . Total cost for us on taxis was 80$ plus 100$ more for the left two nights. Plus it took us 2 hours to find some payable hotel at all. Tired for the whole day and the manager did not even show up! Got an email saying we charged your credit card - 150$ !!! It can always happen to have some flying insects in the room next to restaurants. Disappointing was the way they handelt it plus I have to spend more money because of HOTELS COCKROACHES:(
Self rating is not an assessment at all. Any self rating should be disregarded. First impression was ok, reception and room size, but that's where it ended. The place was extremely filthy and coachroach infested, we could not use any crockery etc without washing thorough. The bathroom was a disgrace and my wife asked for the shower curtain to be changed and got one just as bad, we would throw these in the bin. There was a continual noise appeared to come thru defunct aircon ducting, some nights very bad. Nothing was wiped over or mopped in the 11 nights we were there. The place is extremely old and cheap refurbishing over refurbishing, the bathroom and kitchen need gutting. We met other people in reception who complained of the noise from an internal source also.
