My Daughter and I stayed here recently and discusting is an understatement, Being a housekeeper myself, i know what clean sheets look and smell like, the ones on the single bed were definately re used., the cutlery in the drawer had dried up food on it, there was not one cup for a tea or coffee, when I requested one it was filthy. The room was dark and unclean. We booked for three nights and left after the first. When approaching Reception re: my concerns, the girl could barely speak a word of English. Also the web site states Potts Point as it's location, actually located in a really dingy part of Kings Cross, we felt unsafe the whole time we were there, I was denied a refund for our remaining two nights, but we left anyway.
Not a pleasant stay at all. I've stayed at backpackers in Sydney that were way better than this place. My room was very dirty and covered in dust. The room stunk. The TV screen and desk had finger marks all over it. The light fixture was broken and the toilet seat cover dented. Very worn out place. Air con wasn't working properly so I had to leave the window open, allowing mozzies to enter the room. The door did not lock properly. It was a nightmare. PS: Sou Brasileira mas escrevi em Inglês, pois moro aqui na Australia e tb pq achei que estava no Trip Advisor americano. Acho que vale a avaliação nos dois idiomas.
Staff very rude and dishonest. Elevator extremely old and dangerous. No night desk service. No security. Very dangerous hotel.....be careful and make sure you get receipts for room fees as the manager will double your room fee at anytime there is demand.....be careful folks.
There was a staff claiming to be the owner. I requested for towels when I came back to the hotel at night, the man said let me take care of this person first. An hour later, nothing. I went down stairs, the office down was shut and a sign stating "back in 5 minutes". Ran up and down the stairs after over 5 minutes and still shut. I decided to look outside, FOUND HIM! Smoking a cigarette. I asked if he had forgotten, he told me not to be rude! I told him how I waited patiently and it's 12am now, I'm trying to get to bed. He finally got me the towels. It wasn't until check-out when I found out he wasn't the owner. I was advised (Female staff) to email the hotel reservations and she will forward it to the owners. I done that, no response, emailed a few more time, no response. I called hotels.com. They called and was hung up by them. OWNERS, I HOPE YOU SEE THIS!
We were charged $300 for our room and it was an absolute DUMP! NEVER NEVER stay at this hotel. It is very run down and the staff is horrible. We arrived at 10pm to a locked front door and then while checking in we were sworn at repeatedly by the Manager. Apparently he did not like the way we were looking at him. He clearly had some paranoia issues. The room was absolutely horrible. There are signs all over the room letting you know not to set off the smoke alarms or you will be charged $1,350 and then they put another sign on the bathroom letting you know that you have to keep the door closed as the steam from the shower may set off the alarm and if it does you will be charged the $1,350 fine. How about getting proper venting! The paint was peeling, the bathroom fixtures all have rust on them. Overall this is nothing more than a run down hostel
1 word says so much more!! We left after 1 night!! Here is a spray to get them away!! Yeah right, how about better cleaning? Everything is old and kitchen in the room... no there is a microwave. Wi-Fi crap! Lift broken... for how long than?
Very disappointed in this accomodation. The bathroom floor was very dirty bed lamp didn't work although they replaced it for us. Pillows not up to standard. Wardrobe doors very difficult to slide and tracks very very dirty. Elevator in extreme need of service or repair. Plenty of tea and coffee but very minimal milk. Gave us no towels one day and only had one to give us on request
I booked this hotel solely because I needed a budget hotel that had its own shower and toilet for two nights whilst going to the supreme court. Location is fantastic just down the road from Kings Cross station and close to various restaurants and bars. The room was clean but outdated but for the price was expected. Beds were very comfortable and had the usual TV complimentary coffee, fridge and microwave. It is definitely a budget hotel would stay again but only for a short stay.
Great value for money. Quiet room. Quiet air conditioner. Firm mattress - ask for extra pillows if you need them - only one thin pillow each in room. Good kitchenette facilities with food purchase options nearby. 24hr security reassuring. Old, especially the lift. Rooms - worth upgrading. Close to restaurants, pubs, Kings Cross Station and nearby hospitals. Parking not far away.
