Hotel staff were helpful but the room was quite small. In addition, you have to pay for internet wifi, and that was ridiculous. Paid a lot per night for a cubicle size room and wifi is not free. Might as well pay extra $20 to $40 for better hotel elsewhere and with free amenities.
Very good locations, easy short stroll to water transport , trains, buses etc, All major business building are waking distance. Room small but very comfortable for two people in a business trip.
The best thing about the hotel is the location. It is walking distance to many great Sydney attractions, and a short cab to most others. The rooms are very small, so if you are traveling as a couple, and you each have a suitcase, it will be difficult to find a place to put your bag and still navigate the room. During our stay, the elevators were working only intermittently, and we would sometimes have to wait 10-15 min to catch a lift. The staff is not unfriendly, but they don't smile or acknowledge you when you come in and out of the hotel, so that made it seem a little cold to me and my wife. We also did notice that the hand towels that we placed on the floor of the bathroom to be replaced with new towels were just hung back up on the rack after housekeeping had "cleaned" the room.
this hotel is in a great place in Sydney. Some people complained about the size of the room and the noise in previous reviews. I do not agree at all!! We just stayed last week and we had a great time. The room is a normal hotel size room and did not hear any noise while sleeping. The location and price is the best. You are 3 minutes away from the harbour where u can take the ferry and also go to different bars and restaurants. Also, 10 minute walk from the train station, we took the train to and from the airport.
This hotel was within walking distance to everything. We even walked to King's Cross and it only took 35 mins. The staff is very helpful with all of your questions. The room itself was a bit small, but very comfortable.
the staff was very helpful
My husband and I stayed here on a vacation. The hotel seemed more geared towards business travelers: services were basic and rooms were small and efficient. However, we thought it was still a good place to stay for us because there were only two of us and we didn't spend much time in the room. The location was good; Darling Harbor is 5-10 minute walk away and it's also close to the metro station: Wynward Station, so you can get around in Sydney quite easily from here. Overall, a solid hotel, but don't expect anything fancy.
This hotel is very close to the Sydney Explore Bus, which is great plus to go viewing the city. The train station is also close by so you can take Train to airport and other place near by Sydney. The room is fairly comfortable for two people. Overall I do enjoy my stay here.
Very close to most Sydney attractions. Our taxi fare to the Rocks District was just $6. This is a clean Ibis Hotel in a good (but newer business) location. Unlike the Ibis that I passed on the way, you will not find sex shops and seedy businesses nearby. It was quiet because the area pretty much shuts down after business hours. You can walk, but I recommend taxis. I checked in and asked (jokingly) for a suite with a rooftop penthouse. The staff saw my 3 large bags, including golf clubs, and gave me a disabled room which had lots of extra room. Never hurts to be nice. Would recommend this hotel is you are there for just a few days and on a budget. You will not walk down and find a great restaurant, but Sydney deserves to be explored more intensely anyway.
