We stayed here for 2 nights and have to say this place was fantastic. You couldn’t ask for a better view. Water taxi is pretty much on your doorstep. Staff were friendly and room was great Would definitely recommend this place and I would certainly stay here again
We are so happy that we decided to stay at the Harbourside Apartments — the view of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House was amazing and we could see Luna Park across the bay. The apartment was bright, clean and spacious enough for my family of four. The ferry was right outside the apartment building and it was easy way to get to many places in Sydney. We found great restaurants in McMahon Point - an uphill walk from the apartments, and in Milson Point which is an easy ferry ride across Lavendar Bay. The apartment has no air conditioning, but we were comfortable - we had a good breeze from the open windows and the ceiling fans helped as well. I would definitely stay here again, although probably not in the middle of the summer, and would highly recommend it to others.
We stay here regularly when visiting family. It’s a fabulous views, convenient location, a great pool and the staff usually helpful. However, we felt on our most recent trip that the venue is seriously outdated and trading solely on its location. The apartments were grubby and rundown, fixtures broken, the Wi-fi is terrible, there is no air conditioning and the communal coin operated washing machines are antiquated. Reception staff could be pleasant, but some were surly and officious. After years staying here, I’m sorry to say we not come again. With a lick of paint, a deep clean, some basic maintenance (invest in a screwdriver or two?) and a little more friendly customer care, this could be fabulous and great value. As it currently stands, you’re paying for the view and not much else.
Having travelled 30 hours door to door you expect a smile, a welcome to Sydney and a how may we help you - these cost nothing. Instead of any of that i received a "there is no room ready yet". Yes it was 9.30 but there was no i will see what we can do or we will do what we can - no help and no hope so i wandered arounfd fro 3 hours. They then had the audacity to request a 10.00 am checkout. To provide balance, I found all of the other staff more positive, chatty and they looked as if they want to be there. The location is excellant for the ferry. The rooms and the shower are good. The wireless network is slow. There is no air conditioning so it was almost ok when I was there but i certainly would't stay there in peak summary. We all live with rules and grumpoy staff but not when you are paying these fees.
We have just spent four nights staying at Harbourside Apartments. Fantastic position right on the water looking straight across at the Sydney Harbour Bridge with the Opera House in the background. SUPERB. The ferry to Circular Quay is one minute away and makes a great start to each day of sightseeing. We arrived early, but were given a room straight away, which was great. The apartments themselves are old fashioned, but generally well maintained. Ours was a one bed apartment with a make up lounge/bed for an extra guest . We were on the seventh floor with views to Lavender Bay. Bed sizes were fine. There is construction nearby and will be ongoing for a while. The grounds are very well maintained and were immaculate when we were there. Lovely pool area with BBQ's and seating right beside the harbour. Staff were great, always on hand to help with advice. Units do not have air conditioning, but have opening windows, ceiling fans and additional pedestal fans for use. This was fine when we were there, but I expect would be an issue in the middle of summer. WIFI is free if you book direct with the Hotel. Luckily we did book direct on this occasion. Personally, I don't stay at any hotel that doesn't offer free WIFI in this day and age. Staying connected was also a problem and we gave up after a while and having full occupancy as an excuse doesn't validate the poor service in my opinion. Unfortunately, our trip to Sydney coincided with the Mardi Gra, so room.prices were up, but I considered the hotel to be moderately priced. Would I stay again? Yes.. all up, we were very comfortable here.
The Harbourside Apartments were suggested to us by an Australia co-worker - and what the hotel lacks in amenities it more than makes up for in location and view! We arrived around 9pm to our hotel and the evening staff was wonderful and helpful. We arrived at our room - apartment 37 and it had a view that we could have only dreamed of. There right outside our window was the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. We were speechless and I cried tears of joy. The neighborhood is quaint - the only downside is the nearest restaurants/grocery stores/cafes were a 4-5 block walk uphill...but again the view makes it all worth it. The ferry stop is a quick 1 block walk from the hotel front entrance and in a matter of two ferry stops you are at the heart of Sydney's Circular Quay. The hotel's internet leaves much to be desired, there is no A/C (however we had a ceiling fan), and housekeeping is minimal - but again I cannot stress enough - the view makes it all worth it. I will say I had one uber driver who was shocked to see there was a hotel here and I got the feeling he felt he had just stumbled onto a new favorite spot.
Lets start with the positives. The view and neighbourhood area are excellent and very relaxing after work or busy day shopping. But let’s focus on the apartments and it was just ok. The rooms were basic and and there are some things that were just annoying. The cleaning was ok but the apartment was dated. There is NO airco which makes it unbearable in the summer. The WiFi is so poor that we had to but a data card with hotspot. Bed is small and in combination with the hot room you don’t have a good rest. So let’s finish where I started. Great view, average apartment
With family visiting from UK, we couldn’t have asked for more. The view is PERFECT. The apartments are clean and extremely spacious. Maria on front desk was welcoming and professional. Thank you Harbourside Apartments, you’ve helped to make our trip to Sydney everything you could wish for. The photos attached to this review are from the bedroom window of our 2 bedroom apartment. BREATHTAKING
We stayed for 2 nights on our way to somewhere else. The view from the apartments is the best view of the Sydney harbour bridge, the opera house and Luna park. The ferry is right out the front so central to darling harbour and circular quay. The apartment was adequate for the 2 of us but there is no air conditioning in any rooms and if you are in the wrong side for the breeze it is revoltingly hot. A few things had been over looked like the cleanliness of the decorative pillows and doona. The quilt hadn’t been washed in awhile either. We got them taken away to be cleaned. They changed our room in the second night as I was to hot to sleep in the other so that was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. You aren’t very close to supermarkets or shopping you have to catch the ferry to darling harbour or circular quay. Just a shame there were a few things to fault. I probably wouldn’t stay back there again but the view was awesome.
After spending almost a month in this beautiful city with Friends, we spent the last for days in this apartment hotel. Our room was on the top floor and had one of the best views in the world. The room was big and very clean! The staff is wonderful, they are very kind and helpful! The ferry stops right next to the hotel and that is the easiest way to the city! It is very good value as well!
