Close to the event I was running at. Made the most sense to stay here. Walking distance to food and stores.
Breakfast for 2 was included in this deal yet we were limited on how to use it, even though we had free breakfast's elsewhere, this was the first Holiday Inn that does not provide Room Service for guests that have Breakfast Vouchers. When you call IHG corporate, their office says this particular Holiday Inn does not even provide free breakfast, except for Kids. Very misleading, and very unprofessional on Holiday Inn's part. The manager at this location is a fake nice, she never took care of our situation regarding the air conditioning. The least she could have done was refund us, but instead she only wanted to provide a discount off the breakfast from the total amount charged, even though my fiance is disabled and was extremely inconvenienced throughout the entire night.
Clean hotel. Close to major street which makes it very easy to go anywhere in the city easy.
I'm allergic to their soap. Otherwise amazing hotel.
Bad internet service. Very little staff assistance.
Hotel was very good for the amount we paid. Staff was friendly and answered our questions. The only thing was that we misread the map, and didn't realize how far Surrey was from Vancouver and Richmond. So, driving into the big city was a hassle, especially with traffic. Otherwise, it's a great hotel to stay at.
The staff was pleasant and the hotel looked clean. Unfortunately, the restaurant/bar was under construction and directions to the nearest steakhouse turn out to be instructions to a marginal brewpub. While the room was clean and comfortable, the television required almost 30 minutes of reading and punching buttons on the remote before I could turn off the terrible pop radio station. The following morning, I was even more disappointed that the coffee maker didn't work. So much for a morning cup of coffee.
