Very expensive for room. One bedroom apartment. While it was very clean , it was basic and very dated. Was given as a gift through Groupon price $657.40 for 2 nights. We have stayed in 5 Star appartements for this price. I would give it a 3.5 Star. Balcony overlooked the carpark with side view of the ocean. Very few shops and restaurants within walking distance. .
We were upgraded to a larger apartment. We had requested a sunny apartment, view immaterial and it was delivered to us. Very clean, very spacious and we found the staff very pleasant to deal with - nothing was too much trouble especially when they occasionally had to bite their tongues in dealing with difficult customers. Lack of free wifi in the apartment was the only negative. Fabulous place to stay
We went to the Oaks Seaforth resort as a bit of a forced family weekend away. We had a voucher for the property that was expiring soon and had to make a visit. but we didn't regret it one little bit. we had a beautifully appointed apartment and although it only had street views with a sliver of the ocean visible from the corner of a balcony, it was very spacious and roomy with a large, safe balcony for the kids to have a play around. the kitchen was well equipped apart from a cabinet with a broken hinge on the door, which wasn't an issue as we could make do without using that space. the beautiful weather and blue skies also helped enhance an already relaxed time here. I wish to visit this property in summer so we can enjoy a swim in their pools which looked very inviting. The reception did mention that the pool was heated to a 29 degrees, but we didn't have a chance to go for a swim with the beach at the doorstep! Definitely recommend!
I have stayed here many times in the last ten or so years and it is still great. The reception staff are always lovely and helpful, the rooms are brilliant (new kitchen, furniture, beds etc). We even got an upgrade to a penthouse this time (614) which was just divine! I highly recommend Oaks Seaforth - perfect location, good food close and great facilities at the resort.
Stayed for one night in a 3 bedroom apartment with family. Staff were very friendly on arrival and checkout. Apartment was large but in dire need of a facelift. New furnishings couldn't hide the old apartment's inherent flaws. Cracked tiles, windows that once wound open, wouldn't close, due to corrosion and damaged fittings. Holes in door screens and external finishes off balcony we're rusting and falling down or missing. No security screens in kids bedroom widows meant the windows could only be opened a fraction with blocks preventing opening further and letting the breeze in. Aircon only in lounge and master bedroom and the floor fan I found in the cupboard was so noisy and rattled I had to stuff toilet paper in my ears. Bathrooms were so dimly lit you couldn't see to put on makeup, poorly set up kitchen with a broken coffee plunger. Location opposite beach over a busy and noisy road and on top of a pub. The website advertised free wifi on booking but nothing was said on arrival. And all this for just under $400 per night. Not the usual standard I expected from Oaks and wouldn't stay here again Great staff on reception unfortunately don't make up for the rest. The is the 2nd run down and overpriced apartment I've stayed at in the Mooloolaba/Alexandra Headland area in as many years that looks great online, but doesn't deliver for what they charge.
I am sorry to say our room at this resort was not nice. We had a penthouse apartment with a good view and comfortable bed but that was it. The fridge leaked, the unit smelt musty, dusty furniture, broken light switch, sliding doors not sliding, no exhaust fans, loose toilet seats and the toilet brush holder was disgusting, light shades full of bugs. I do have photos to prove the above. We did have a outdoor spa but it did not work and was told it was not part of the deal we had. I do own rental properties and have travelled extensively and some of the ladies have cleaned motels, so we have reason to be unhappy with our room. I have stayed in other Oaks Apartments and they were fantastic.
Apartments are in a great location Staff very helpful Units are very well appointed - impressed by huge balcony in our one bedroom apartment. Beds very comfortable. In a great spot across the road from the beach and close to everything. A great place to escape from Sydney's cold weather. Key fob a bit of a nuisance but understand need for security
My partner and I really enjoyed staying here, however, there were several faults with the apartment. The lights over the kitchen and dining room table flickered constantly, there was no working exhaust fan in the bathroom, and no actual cover on the blanket on the bed, instead it just had a sheet on either side. I found it very strange that there was no Wi-Fi whatsoever, as well. It would be a huge advantage to at least have the option to purchase some internet or something. The location is fantastic, right on the beach and a very decent size for a one bedroom unit. It's within walking distance to a wide range of restaurants and shops. Very comfortable bed and the place has been furnished lovely with a nice view off the balcony overlooking the gardens and pool.
This is a great apartment Resort. We stayed in a three bedroom unit with 3 couples. Unit was spacious, king bed in main and queen beds in the other two rooms. Large recreational area, with lagoon pool, heated lap pool and kiddies wading pool. It is located across the road from the beach. Located in a quiet part of the Sunny Coast. Spar supermarket, pub, coffee shop and hairdresser nearby. Five minute stroll to the Alexandra Headlands Sufr club. My only criticism is that the apartment could have better items in the kitchen e.g. Decent size mugs and six would be good to suit the occupancy, some platters and coffee plunger would be good. However that aside this was a great place for a shirt or long stay.
The resort was fantastic, heated pool good for mid winter, across road from beach. 5 minute drive south to Mooloolaba or north to sunshine plaza. Mini mart, bottle shop, fish n chips out front of resort. Our apartment was great, nice and spacious with full kitchen and laundry. Very comfortable beds, big balcony. Secure parking and building access felt very safe.
