This is definitely a quiet country getaway with your own flock of sheep to entertain you if you're not enjoying a welcoming pot of tea or breakfast. The rooms are all charming with spacious bathrooms. Your breakfast, if it was anything like ours, will be beyond compare: what a treat!

This place is literally in the countryside. We were welcomed with tea when we arrived, but left shortly after since it was a Sunday and I wasn't sure how late cabs ran or restaurants stayed open since the city center is very small. It's a lovely place, and some of the family touches Julie provides is no television in the room, but there is a family area with a TV and board games. The room was comfortable and we were served a full Irish breakfast the following morning.

It's hard to write a review when you arrive with a confirmation in hand and no one is there to greet you. Door was open. We arrived within the check in appointed time, too. We called, emailed and texted, then left after half an hour. It was obvious no one was expecting us, we tried contacting Ireland B and B, and left a message, but no one ever got back to us. Eventually innkeeper emailed she was sorry she missed us. Very un satisfying experience.

We started our vacation in Ireland with this stay. I wish the other 11 B&B owners had learned how to operate their business from Julie. Julie truly made us feel at home and welcome. She and her family patiently answered all of our tourististy questions with a smile and kind words. Her family showed us around the farm, and didn't mind us peeking in at the animals or barn. We were served a wonderful breakfast that could be served in any fine restaurant. The bedroom and bath were comfortable and well maintained. The scenery surrounding the farm is breathtaking and takes you back to a simpler time. A great place to relax and unwind. Thanks to Julie and her sweet family, we will always have special memories of this B&B.

I absolutely loved the quiet country setting of this B&B. It was a much needed respite from the busy travel and tourist pace. Out in the country with high quality farming all around you can feel the power of nature and how she holds us all. Julie is a wonderful host and created a. breakfast to our tastes. The easy check in with the B&B provider made this so easy to book and secure. Spacious rooms.

We stayed for one night at this incredible place. The family are simply wonderful. We loved looking out at the sheep in the back field. We were treated to tales of regional history and commentary on current events and issues in contemporary Ireland. We had an incredible experience being welcomed at J. J. Martins, the local pub. Once home, we were treated to a backyard campfire made of authentic Irish peat. We sat around the fire sharing stories and songs. Next morning's breakfast was exquisite, complete with a good strong pot of tea to help us recuperate from the night before and ready us for travel. I do hope we get to stay here again someday.

We stayed for one night and i have to say it was everything you could ask for. The rooms were big, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was A1, and nothing was too much trouble for Julie the owner. I have to say i would highly recommend this B&B.

My review is from one year ago. I should have written this review a long time ago - shame on me! I was on the solo leg of my trip to Ireland. I ventured to County Kildare where I have traced my family history. Julie and Colm treated me like family. Prior to arriving I emailed back and forth with Julie regarding my "Scully" family history and that they came from Eaglehill in the mid 1800's. Julie and Colm found and shared information with me prior to my arrival and I knew I had a lot of work to do when I arrived. Julie and I walked the grounds of their sheep farm (it was birthing week at the end of March 2017- which was a bonus!) to an area where there once stood a house on top of the hill. They showed me local churches and cemeteries. They directed me to Newbridge to research county records. I really mean they went WAY ABOVE my expectations. My room was the perfect size, clean and comfortable. The meals were delicious! Breakfast had a lot of variety and plenty of it. The specially-made-for-me butternut squash soup was a surprise and it was the best! Colm spoke to a few neighbors and told them I was researching my Scully family and when I arrived he introduced me to the neighbors, they also were descendants of Scully's. I haven't found the connection yet. But with their help and direction I did get back two more generations and added surnames: Conway and Connell from Eaglehill, Suncroft. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay here! I felt like I was home! Eileen Dusch

I have used this b&b for a number of years during the Derby weekend and always found the welcome to be lovely and the rooms to be clean. If you are in the area then consider EagleHill as you will treated nicely and receive good value
