Bellemont Hotel Sun Valley

3.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

No coffee maker in room. But nice mini fridge/microwave. No hot tub either. But pet friendly. I'd stay there again but only for a cheaper rate.

Thin walls make for uncomfortable noise, unreasonable management regarding shortening stay (after staff advised it should not be an issue) and antique TVs. Good location, but for hospitality industry, not very hospitable in looking to capture repeat visitors. I will be back to Sun Valley, but not the Bellemont.

Phone didn't work, printer didn't work, no extra blankets when asked for one. Room setting was never comfortable. They had a really old baseboard heater system. Are these even legal anymore? When we asked for anything it was broken, and we wetrr told that they were renovating and it would be better next year. That doesn't help me as my room sucks now. I won't be back. Funny, they didn't dicount the room at all even though everything was broken.

We didn't expect anything fancy... and it wasn't. The plus side is the rooms had a fridge and microwave, and the location of the hotel is great! The hotel double charged my stay. I paid via Orbitz... which they had no record of, and then they charged my card for my stay once I left. I talked to 3 clerks, 3 separate days before I was able to get a refund. The pool was full of bugs, and spiders, and the floor of the pool was very sandy. The TV remote didn't work, and several walls in the room seemed like they needed a good washing. All in all, for the affordable price... even though originally charged twice, and since we didn't spend much time in the room, it was worth it.

I think it was fine. Location is great. They had literally just switched management the day prior, so there's that. I think the big thing I would do to make the experience more palatable, would be to change out the carpet. I mean they are literally dingy and gross and my feet were visibly dirty after walking for only a little bit without my shoes. From a design perspective I would consider at faux wood laminate (easy care, looks nice, etc); carpet all too easily becomes gross quickly. The other thing I would consider is having breakfast included, nothing fancy; pastries and such. I feel that always makes a difference with my stay at a hotel.Having said that, the staff was pleasant and helpful considering the stress they were under with change of management and new computer system. The pool was nice, and the temp was great.

Good comfortable room, minor grout issues in the bath

Decent size room, very comfortable beds, clean with everything functioning properly. Included a fridge and microwave which we were pleasantly surprised about. Would definitely return if the opportunity presented itself.

Don't let that fool you! Our room was dirty. Carpet is old & stained. Bathroom was dirty and we even had a dirty towel hanging on the door. Would not recommend.

The Ketchum Clarion is situated on the North side of town but is within walking distance of the central core. You can walk home from Whiskey Jacques and Casino with ease after closing, no need to take a cab or drive. The rooms were very clean and neat, but the WiFi was not fully operational during our stay and I had to use my own hotspot. Else wise, it is a great hotel.

The hotel is a bit run down which is apparent from the moment you go to find the lobby and through the rest of the stay as you see your room. The location is great and convenient to the Ketchum/Sun Valley area and cheaper than staying at the Sun Valley Lodge.

Condition of hotel is poor including: 1. Cracked & peeling ceiling paint 2. Stained curtains 3. Poorly flushing toilets 4. Gym is in a former garage that requires them to open the garage door...never once were the leaves, etc. swept up in the gym. 5. Most annoying was the fact it took 10-15 minutes to get hot water in the shower at any time of day.

Hotel is cozy and well located in downtown Ketchum. A little street noise from revelers and snowplows.
