DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Breckenridge

3.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

My daughter and I stayed in this hotel for two nights, while in town for pre-wedding meetings. Since the wedding is to take place in Breckenridge, the Doubletree was one of the hotels we were told to recommend to guests because of a group rate. The layout of the hotel is not user friendly, because it is necessary to use multiple elevators to get to top floors in the two towers. At check-in we were not told about the shuttle that takes you to town to enjoy shopping and restaurants. We learned that by observing and asking. We were not told about ski storage facility, and yes we did ski one day. Disappointed is how we felt and when recommending a hotel for our guests, the Doubletree will not be high on the list.

Convoluted long walk to room! No microwave, overpriced

great staff, free valet, good breakfast. Stayed one night walked to the lift the next morning and were able to leave our car in valet until we were done riding. very nice!

I had two main thoughts about my stay. One, the hot tubs couldn't be any smaller and was pretty surprising for a hotel at this location. Second, the hotel restaurant, 9600, was absolutely horrendous. A couple of our meals had to be sent back and the rest of our group's meals didn't come close to justifying the price. The service didn't justify the prices either. It was one of the slowest meals I've ever experienced and our dinner plates were never cleared at all even thought it took over a half hour to speak with the manager and get our bill paid.

Stay only on floors one through six. The double elevator ride and dirty corridor paths to get there are aweful.

The valet parking was very helpful, and the staff were very helpful. I'd go back the next time I'm in Breckinridge

We received great service. They upgraded our room to a very large room. Excellent hotel overall.

Great location for skiing and snowboarding - slopes are less than a minute away from the front door, walking. Included ski and car valet. Definitely a great value for the money. The only minor negative is that floors 7-10 require switching elevators on the 6th floor and they are not close together so if you carry equipment with you that can be a slight inconvenience. Free shuttle to downtown Breckenridge, which has tons of shops, restaurants, and bars, whenever you call for it instead of being on a schedule. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

Great place to stay without having to rent a condo. It was right next to the slopes and within walking distance of the downtown bars. The bar inside of the hotel was a great place for a nightcap.

The hotel was magnificent. The location is perfect to be able to ski all day without having to walk more than 150 meters. Food was good, the room was huge and very clean. I would recommend it any time.

Great Value and Location. Walk across street and parking lot to lifts in 2 mins!! walking distance to Main street and food and shops. Hotel was clean and the staff was great. can buy discount lift tickets in lobby to avoid the lines -- also have a ski valet out front. Thanks!

Very nice place. The staff was very helpful. We enjoyed the convenience to the slopes, and to the downtown area. I would recommend Hilton Double Tree to other friends.

THis hotel is such a great location with friendly stadd and the amenities are great. They have a free shuttle downtown and back every night, no need to ever drive. They have a ski rental facility in the hotel that takes care of all your needs. They also have an awesome ski valet service that you call 15 minutes before you want to hit the slopes and they carry your ski's down to the slopes for you and they are always there waiting on you. We love this facility and will be back next year again for our third trip in a row.

We enjoyed our stay. Staff friendly and helpful. Location within walking distance to town a big plus. Access to mountain for hiking, biking or skiing was terrific.

As has been stated by previous reviewers, the elevator arrangement could be better, we were on the 10th floor, but the rooms were very clean and spacious and I don't recall ever staying in a quieter hotel or motel. Overall a good stay.

The staff was incredible. Very helpful, out going, and did everthing possible to help make a pleasant stay. Facilities are old, even the tiolet paper was cheap. Two king beds, very comfortable, however, knowing that at least two people would be staying there, the bathroom was incredibly small, the room was not comfortable for two people.Price to high for what was received.

Hard beds, flat pillows, howling dog, zero view on the 7th floor, Spend 200 on a room and cant get a complimentry begal in the morning??

Our hotel room was 80 degrees at night. Nope, not summertime. Feels like I'm in Arizona, but I know any hotel in Arizona would have AC. It's 32 degrees outside, 80 inside and we can open the window 6 inches (I know that's standard for most hotels), BUT the curtains only open toward the side with the window opening. So good luck getting any privacy while also trying to get some air in there. The hotel got us a portable AC. OK. We wasted an hour and a half after dinner on our honeymoon for them to screw around putting in the AC. Just stupid. Don't stay here. Oh and the mechanic knew it was an issue. Why rent those rooms if they get so hot?! This is rude and disrespectful. Be warned. You will not get what you pay for. We paid around $200 a night for this horrible hotel. There are WAY better hotels out there for less. Absurd. Atrocious.

Location just across the street from Breckenridge chair lift and rental shop on site was convenient for our ski plans. We skiied 3 days, and toured the town and nearby areas. We were very dissappointed in the pool and hot tubs. Very small and no view. Only used them once because of this. Have been at neighboring hotels with much nicer facilities. Staff was for the most part helpful and friendly. Resturant was a bit pricey for breakfast. Also for the costs would have expected some discounts or ski package deals. Would rent skis off site next time to save money.

Very friendly staff at front desk, concierge, parking, etc. Staff was willing to offer a price break due to weather issues - very fair. Rooms nice. Breakfast buffet a bit pricey - but there are coffee shops to go to.
