I was disappointed by the amount paid vs the age/overall quality of the room. Jacuzzi worked well. Towels all had strong smell of bleach. If you are a light sleeper then stay away from this room. The bedroom is beside a maintenance room and there is a noticeable hum. Mentioned a few flaws to the front desk clerk-not looking for any reduction, just to let them know. Clerk was very nice. Check in clerk though made me feel like I was disturbing him. Location is good. And the hotel and/or parents and coaches did a good job getting the teams to stop running around at 10.
Booked this Room (2 queen beds) through the Hotel Website. Paid the Max. $197.00. When we arrived, we were given the wrong room! How does this happen with no middle man?? The ice machine right around the corner was out of order. Had to go to another floor to find ice. The kids went to the pool for a swim. They complained about the water being "cold". They went to use the hot tub but it was luke warm and the jets wouldn't work. They wanted to watch a movie so I said okay. To my disbelief and utter shock it was $24.99 + tx! Okay, if that wasn't bad enough at the end of the movie, it claimed we could watch it again until 8:57pm the next day free. When I tried to put it on again I had to press the Order Button again. That was the only way to get it to play again. Lucky for me I checked and it tried to bill me for another $24.99. The guy at the desk did reverse it for me but if I hadn't checked, I'd be charged a second time. The bed may or may not have been a queen but it had no support ,very saggy mattress. Restaurant was okay once they got the order right. All in all it was a very painful experience. I will NOT be going back.
We believe the Travelodge has alot of potential to improve on various accommodation problems. Since they accept pets, you should be alot more stringent on your guests using the property as a private cesspool. We always pick up after our dog and expect other dog owners to do the same. The carpet is in desperate need of a shampoo and cleaning. Our storm door was not aligned properly so sliding it took too much effort. For the price we paid, we could have stayed in a much cleaner hotel that included a breakfast, and left our dog in a kennel for 3 days. We do expect improvements to your hotel and would like to visit in the future, only because of it's location.
Good service when checking in. I really like the location of the hotel, science North is right across the street and it’s very close to be able to get to downtown. Room was clean and liked having a fridge and microwave made things easier. Nice hot tub and pool access.
Stayed here last year over the family day weekend for sledding so i cam back this year for the same.We chose them because they had hot tub on site and a restaurant and a brand name.The place was clean and the staff friendly and good parking for truck and trailer. After the first day of sledding we went to use the hot tub and pool ut you couldn't see the bottom of the tub or the pool the water was so cloudy. when the tub was turned on there was so much foam on the top of it it looked like a bubble bath. The on site restaurant was a Perkins again clean food was ok staff friendly but the seats in the booths had no padding left in them so you where string on the wooden base we sat in more than one booth over the four days. Our room was a good size and clean although the widows were older and leaked so they were foggy and the part that open didn't close tight. When checking out on Tuesday i was informed the room rate went up as the Monday was family day, when i inquired about my are room had not be serviced i was told it was family day so no staff to do this. Great no service and paired more. When i spoke to the desk clerk about the other concerns he told me he would look into it . Feeling ripped off i contacted the head office ,they got back to me quickly and was told they passed my concerns to the manger in Sudbury . The manager of the travel lodge has contacted me and has made things right
I don't use motel often, but i MUST state during an emergency THIS was the best place to be for rooms, food, quality, accommodations for extra staying nights. Helping the other half and his family with making all the arrangements and aide in new people to Sudbury find their ways around and times, restaurants etc. YOU will always have our utmost recommendations . Thank you greatly for everything the full staff does daily.
We stayed at the Travelodge for the weekend and had a very enjoyable experience. The staff were helpful and the room was clean. We would definitely stay here again another time. We have stayed here a few other times when needed and found the service to be the same. We enjoyed a coffee and muffin in the morning from the Perkins restaurant that is attached to the hotel.
We reserved for Feb 16&17th. Upon check in the rooms looked nothing like as they do in the pictures. They are very shabby and tattered. Bed looked very lump and pillows were tiny and had no substance. Walls are beat up. On first night, both myself and my partner had a terrible sleep. As someone who travels fairly often and typically stays in budget 2/3 star hotels i can firmly say this was the WORST bed i have ever slept in. Room 252 - avoid at all costs. We asked to be changed rooms and did not appreciate the poor customer service transaction at this check out, nor at our check in later that evening. We weren't even given a place to put our bags or a simple "i;m sorry to hear that.". When i expressed this disappointing experience to the desk manager at the evening shift, we were received with an even ruder encounter. The deskperson person implied that because our rooms were booked online at a discounted rate, i shouldn't be complaining about being unable to sleep in the beds. The room we were moved to had a smaller bed(though thankfully sweepable) and was equally shabby. Would recommend staying elsewhere.
The room was nice the washroom needed a little upgrade it showed a lot of wear and tear. Overall the rest off the room was acceptable. The staff were excellent and very helpful. The transport vouchers to and from the hospital were very much appreciated. We will be staying with you on our return in March.
Overall I enjoyed my stay at the travel lodge in Sudbury. Booked through expedia and was upgraded to a nice room with a king sized bed and a nice comfy chair to sit and read or watch TV in. I am not really a lay down in bed watch TV person so I found this a nice touch. Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom and Shower were spotless, not mold or mildew which is very reassuring as well. My only complaint was there was only coffee cups for drinking and no water glasses. Otherwise, overall a very comfortable stay.
