Le Parc Hôtel Obernai & Spa4.0 out of 5.0

We stay at Le Parc every year when we visit France. It is one of the reasons we return to Alsace every year. We had a fabulous stay this year as we have every year. All of the hotel is beautiful, immaculate and comfortable – the lobby, the restaurants, the bar and salon, the terrace and gardens, the hallways, and especially the guest rooms. We had our favorite again – so spacious, with a lovely balcony and view, and wonderful modern bathroom facilities and amenities. The location is perfect for exploring Alsace and Obernai. There is a lovely park and some historic picturesque church ruins and a chateau across the street. We loved the spa and swimming pool. We dined in the restaurant two nights and had fantastic dining experiences. The atmosphere was lovely both inside as well as on the charming terrace. We had excellent wines at very reasonable prices. All the food was very fresh, of the best quality, delicious, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented. We loved the many special features such as the amuse bouches and mignardises. The several types of warm fresh bread were outstanding. All the servers were attentive, helpful, professional, pleasant, and delightfully friendly. One of the best features of Le Parc is the staff. Every one of them went out of their way to provide whatever we needed to make our stay fabulous. And they were all so nice, helpful, and friendly. Thank you so much, Catherine, Aurore, Marilyn, Michelle, Thomas, Ludvig, Jean Noel, Je, Audre, Maren, Moniqiue, Mr. Vichel, and all the rest of the great staff! We can’t wait to return next year (and experience the wonderful renovations you are undertaking}! We highly recommend Le Parc Hotel!
We were not informed properly about the construction. The garden area and outdoor pool are under construction. I would not recommend staying here until 2019 when everything is ready and functional. It is not worth the money. The rooms are ok but again you look at a construction site. The restaurant and bar are overpriced. There are many good options close by.
+ good location for visiting the area + modern swimming pool and spa facilities + varied breakfast buffet + choice of in-house restaurants - reception staff unwelcoming, disinterested, and very unknowledgeable! - small and noisy rooms (traffic from two streets could be heard / tip: take a room facing the hills) - winstub restaurant was underwhelming (awkward and ever-changing waiting staff providing limited guidance, plain and simple main courses) - tiny fitness (3x machines of which 1x broken) - expired food at breakfast buffet (in mini fridge)!
We have extremely disliked the lack of professionalism of the staff, I'm French but wanted the conversation to be done in English so my Swedish husband can feel included.... when it comes to talk English you have no quality of service at all. Very rude. Not recommended for international clientele. Gave my husband a very bad first experience of France. I mentioned this (in French) at check out, she almost laughed and said she will tell something to the staff... what kind of action is that?
Spent two nights on a business trip in le Parc this March. Hotel is well managed, very tidy and lovingly decorated. Rooms were spacious and well equipped. There even was a good selection of differents pillows to choose. Breakfast was exellent. Unfortunately I did not have time to test the spa, but hopefully next time!
We loved the room, the restaurant, the brunch is the best most amazing we’ve ever seen! The bar is fun to relax before or after dinner! We swam in the pool every day! We loved the spa services. It’s a lovely close walk to the city center! All the amenities! Our room had a balcony and amazing view!
A friend and I met for a quick weekend get away to Alsace and stayed at the Le Parc Hotel. We spent most of the day touring neighboring towns and wineries and checked in right before heading quickly to dinner. The check in process was very quick and provided all the information we needed on the property (in perfect English which was helpful) and the staff even walked us all the way up to our rooms to make sure we didn't get lost as there is a floor where you need to switch elevators. We stayed in Rooms 115 & 116 which were large rooms with a double pull out sofa and full bath on one floor and spiral staircase leading to a second floor with a king bed and an additional full bathroom. The rooms were comfortably furnished and incredibly clean. The tiles in the floor of the first bathroom were heated and there was a basket with the room number and towels in it for the spa and slippers and a robe in the closet. After our dinner at a restaurant in Obernai we came back and had drink in the hotel bar which was able to make a really decent cocktail. In the morning we went down to the spa area to take advantage of the amenities. The decor and the pool are lovely, the jacuzzi tubs with the essential oils was also very nice. There are two small steam rooms that can fit two people however we couldn't really get them working. There was a sign that said we could contact the front desk if there was any issue but we just went to the Sauna instead. The sauna and heated relaxation chairs were also very nice. The hotel is in the middle of building an addition to the spa and I can't wait to go back and see it finished! The breakfast room on the below level was quite large and from the looks the breakfast offerings were copious and varied. We did not have the breakfast but it looked good. I heard from various sources that the Sunday brunch (separate from the breakfast offering) is one of the best in the area so we asked about it but they were fully booked. I recommend inquiring right away and make a reservation right away when you are booking the hotel as it appears to be very popular. All in all it was a wonderful stay, the hotel was just beautiful and I look forward to returning again soon!
Everything (rooms, bed, bath, restaurant, spa) was very pleasant; calm staff - good atmosphere. Very decorative according to X-mas-time. Quality of meals at restaurant was very good, quality of service at restaurant was very high. Spa area (sauna, pool) was small, but enough for a business trip and relaxing after a working day. Only negativ: low quantity of parking lots
Only an hour drive from EuroAirpot near Basel, Switzerland you'll find a place to relax, enjoy nature and explore Obrenai and travel Alsace Route de Wine. The hotel is made out of several old buildings that are connected. The hotel kept its old charm while renovating it's interior. The rooms are nice and the junior suites are magnificent two story complex, with the bedroom are additional shower are on a mezzanine. The hotel has a large indoor pool and a small - possibly too small spa area. Two tiny steam rooms accommodating two people at a time, a larger sauna and one more compartment for two. As well as three heated Stone benches - only one functioning. So the Spa is somewhat disappointing. They are building a new pool and spa area that should offer more space and options. Close to the hotel you'll find a creack to walk along a stream of water in a wooded area, making the 2.5km walk very relaxing. The town of Obernai is about 15 min walk from the hotel. Obernai kept it's looks and ambiance for centuries. You'll enjoy walking around and having traditional Alsace food. The stuff is professional and very accommodating to meet the gusts' needs.
We stayed there a Saturday night. We were quite happy with the size the room despite very used furnitures. We could relax at the spa but nothing exceptional, very tiny sauna and hamam and the overall sensation it was old. However the indoor pool was really nice. The highlight was the fantastic food we had at the restaurant and the great cocktails we had at the bar. The food itself is a reason good enough to go there ! The breakfast was too pricey for its value given there was not a single vegetable offered! Otherwise regular offering of cheeses, cold meat and eggs. Will definitely go back there !
