We stayed in this hotel during December the room were nice not too big not too small. The breakfast was delicious we did enjoyed it. The hotel is a bit far from the center we had to walk every day for about 10 to 15 min in order to get there. The walk is good but if it raining or windy it isn't soo pleasant
Our initial room wasn't so great. Clean, but the bed was sagging and it was relatively small. hen I asked the gentleman at the desk if they had a room we could switch to, he was very helpful and said he had one left. It was larger, had a nicer bed and a much better bathroom. It may have been a handicap room. We liked the fact that it was a 15 minute walk to old town as we like to walk a lot. We had a little issue the morning we left, however. We asked the desk to have a taxi ready for us early in the morning to take us to the airport. In the morning they had a private driver (not a taxi) and he wanted to charge us 50 euros for a 14 minute drive. He said it there is an extra charge for very early rides. That would have been fine if I had asked for a private driver, or if I had been told ahead of time. But I wasn't. I'm not sure why they did that. Breakfast was also added to our bill even though we did not eat their. I emailed the hotel and they apologized and quickly credited my account. I would stay here again.
Loved our time at this hotel. Room was comfortable and well appointed. Bathroom was especially nice, with a large tub, that had a window next to it that opened, with a view to the courtyard. Very French, and romantic! I feel very bad that I can't remember the name of the gentleman at the front desk, since he was so diligent and helpful. (We stayed at so many hotels on this extended tour...) He immediately changed a battery in our safe, was the person who brought us room service, plus he tended the bar. All with grace and courtesy. We used their garage also, which is large by European standards, and just a block and a half away. This was a half way point, so we used the laundry service also. Did a great job. Overall, this felt like an authentic French experience, we will remember fondly. One tip - driving in Strasbourg is crazy! Once on the freeways it's fine (go to Eguisheim, you'll love it). But in the city, it's a bit nuts. Plan your route carefully, and be ready for some complex intersections.
Frequent stays while on location with German client in Baden-Baden. Smaller property with good location from which to base when exploring the area. Reasonably priced and comfortable without being pretentious. Staff is very welcoming and helpful. Just pleasant & relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast only, but no need of restaurant as there are many good options, varied too, within short to medium walking distance. Strasbourg is reasonably small and concentrated so delightful walking city and hotel is on edge of center so quiet but access to center. All considered, good value.
We booked this through Secret Escapes on a deal which we thought was good value. The positive:- - easy to find near motorway on entrance to Strasbourg - secure parking available at €15 a day - breakfast was very good The not so good:- - initial impressions were not good - a derelict building is opposite and the general area looks rundown - our room was tiny - more akin to a budget hotel - our sink leaked, shower was blocked and soap dispenser did not work. We called the front desk, housekeeping confirmed what we said and they quickly changed our room plus upgraded us. So they handled it well. - it is a 20minute brisk walk into Strasburg - a rather down at heel area - did not go out at night - front of house was quite brusque. - no drop off area as right on Main Street Would not choose to stay here again - sorry. Just about worked for us so gave it a generous 3 but more like a 2.5
Stayed here 16 and 17th Aug small break booked with secret escapes. Nice hotel we had suite nicely decorated French shabby chic. Bathroom clean modern and very nice. Breakfast very good good choice of food not very interesting on the pastries and cake front if you are GF like me few bits of dampish French toast and chic chip cookie shame really when I bought some really nice things from local supermarket, could make a little more effort here I think. Having said that plenty of other things eggs bacon cold meeats cheeses no bread mind. Yogurts fresh fruit. We got good deal as our room advertised at €220 a night. Not worth that I have to say but well worth stay if you get a good deal. Staff nice especially the girls serving breakfast. Bit of a walk to town defo take "very comfy shoes" bout a 20 to 30 min walk on comfy feet 30 to 40mins with blisters. Nice being outside of the touristy bit. Nice restaurants just round corner "new Capri" Indian/Italian if your feet won't carry you to town. Nice having a late checkout. We had room at back view of air con units but hey someone has to have no view. The building opposite is being demolished so no view there also. Yes would reccomend.
I made the booking thtough verychic.com. Images were precise in what it was about. Location is not the strong thing Parking is easy only on the weekeds. Not so much spacious on the restaurant, elevators. Though personnel was very polite and professional, room was very clean and spacious, view was not good and amenities were satisfying . It was quiet and well renovated. Decoration was classy Breakfast provided choices I would stay again if the price was right.
This small hotel is perfect for female travelling alone. Rooms are beautifully decorated as per website. It is close to the number 2 bus route from the train station. Get off at the top called place de Pierre and walk for less than 5 minutes. The breakfast was outstanding including heathy options. If you are going to a conference you can also take no.2 bus or walk 10 minutes. All of the tourist and restaurants are about 20 minutes walk. Alternatively take number 2 bus. It is a no brainier to buy a 24 hour bus/tram pass and to get a map in the train station. You can comfortably see all of the sites from the various tram lines and hop on hop off at your own convenience. Stunning city.
This is a Châteaux & Hôtels Collection, so you expect a good level of comfort and amenities. We stayed in this hotel for one night through a "last minute deal" received by email. We booked 2 rooms, one for me and my wife and the other for our children (14 and 9 years old). The rooms are fairly decorated and clean, and the beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are small but fine (we missed a shower-like hanging device to take a shower standing in the bath tub). Breakfast had a good sort of good quality food. The hotel is located away from the city downtown, so you have to plan a 20 min walk to access the main city attractions. Very attractive cost-benefit ratio.
The Hotel is a really nice place to stay if you are visting Strasburg. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, constantly looking out for the guests and their needs. The Rooms are very clean, and get cleaned everyday in a very good manner. The price is very reasonable, seeing that you get a modern room, wifi, and a clean environment. The old city is literally just down the street, and there is a wonderful boulangerie on the way (by the first intersection you pass).. so enjoy! Overall I can highly recommend this place,... The only thing that needs to be renovated is the gym, the treadmill is broken, the bike falls apart, and there is really no other equipment down there.
