We were definitely happy in Breakers. May be because of short stay, just 2 days. Things which were really worth to mention: beatiful lakeside view from our room, king size bed with very comfortable matress, hot jakuzzi in the pool area. It's absolutely normal hotel which goal is to have a rest and enjoy St. Ignace walling around, make a trip to Mackinac island. I absolutely reccomend this hotel for short staying purpose.

We stayed only one night but it was good.Nice area.

Great hotel on beach side. Stayed for overnight. Got extra comforters as needed.

Easy check-in. As a "senior citizen", I appreciated being given a first-floor room near an entrance. However, getting to my room involved going down about seven steps. This complicated my ability to drag a heavy suitcase to the room.

Nice but needs updating . Hallway walls need to be painted. Lots of chipped paint . Bed , not so comfy

We were upgraded to a spacious lake-view room, which was a pleasant surprise. You can walk to a few good eating places, etc.

Hands down the best value for my money. The place was sparkling clean the room was beautiful. The hotel staff that I encountered were friendly, and helpfull. I would not hesitate to return And would not hesitate to recommend the Breakers to anyone who asks.

Very nice hotel with nice continental breakfast. Very clean and nice pool and hot tub area.

Overall a nice stay. I'd stay there again and recommend to other people. Pros: Friendly staff - all of them lobby, housekeeping, maintenance Check in/out was quick Clean rooms Comfortable beds Flat screen TV's in room Fireplace in room Refrigerator in room Pool and hot tub Wifi (free) Cons: Parking - parking is shared with the HI express so there may not be a space near your room, but it's also not a terrible walk (it could be if you have mobility issues) Pool - the pool is nice but it's **not heated** so the water is very cold. The kids though will like it because kids don't care. The hot tub is nice though. Pool 2 - the area outside the pool is tile flooring and very slippery (because it's wet) and you have to walk by it to get to the elevator if you're coming in from the south end. Elevator - there's only 1 and it's more towards the north end so if you have walking/mobility issues, I'd suggest getting a room in the center of the hotel otherwise both the south and north ends there's stairs you'll have to walk up/down stairs. It's not a lot of stairs but people who have issues with stairs would have issues Lobby - the lobby itself is nice but it's in a separate building and a walking distance from the hotel to the building the lobby is in. Wifi - I was in the south end of the hotel and the wifi signal was kind of weak and slow and streaming media seems to be filtered (things like Netflix, Hulu, etc don't work). Vending - they could use more ice machines (on each floor rather than every other) and as for actual vending there seemed to only be one which was next to the pool. There is refrigerators in the room so I'd suggest taking beverages and snacks with you. Overall the pros outweigh the cons, the things I mention in the cons are things people would likely want to know. I'd stay there again and will be booking again in the next month or so. I've stayed at many hotels in St Ignace and this is a very nice one that's affordable.

Stayed for 2 nights, day tripped to Mackinac Island with family. Clean, comfortable rooms with balcony overlooking lake & island. Very close to ferry docks. Great price for rooms. Decent breakfast bar. Kids loved the pool. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is nice Right on Lake Michigan. good location to get to Mackinaw Island. A lot cheaper than staying on the island.

Clean, nice and quiet, no beach but excellent lake view and balcony, good breakfast just need more tables because they have just 10 small round tables and you have to wait. Floor slippery at pool and dirty water.

It was a comfy place to stay. The beach was filled with geese so there were a lot of feces. :( the continental breakfast was small. LOVED the hot tub.

My wife and I came here since it was close to the ferry boat docks and it had a great view and beach. We were not disappointed. The room was clean and well maintained, and the bed was nice and comfortable (at least for us). The bathroom was kind of small but it was okay. The only problem with the hotel are the bugs that are everywhere, which is not at all an issue with the hotel they are just all over up there. I would recommend staying there it was a great value and the sound of the waves crashing is mesmerizing.

Was not able to step out to lake as it got lot of insects but its not a hotel issue. Amazing how they keep the room clean. Very comfortable bed with lots of pillows and a nice huge TV with tons of channels available to browse through. Will stay again

We found the hotel to be a great place to get away to. The beach was not a "swimmer's beach" but it was lovely and relaxing to sit on the balcony and watch the waves. There is a great pool and hot tub inside the hotel that better met our family's needs. The hotel is clean and well maintained. It is a place I would highly recommend to travelers in the area!

What a view of Mackinaw Island. . Great jacuzzi room, friendly staff

We got there for our reservation time and our room had not been finished cleaning. I was supposed to receive a $10 discount, but instead, noticed my bill was $155 instead of 4129 plus tax??? Will not stay there again!

When I arrived they said the room was torn apart due to air conditioner repair - would I be willing to stay at another hotel they would put me up in? They sent me to Bavarian Haus. A dive! Free is free .... Kinda not impressed by either.

First impression of this hotel wasn't very good to start, hallways were kinda smelly, damp and dingy, and the dingy, shabbiness continued into the room which had a very strong, Bad odor. We had to open the door wall and keep the bathroom fan on all the time. We would of left but everything was booked for the night. The sheets were clean so we tried to make the best of it. (we were in room 202) Then after I was sleeping for almost 2 hours I was awoke being told to get out of bed there was a bedbug in the other bed. We had it on a tissue and pulled up pictures on line, we could hardly believe it-but it looked just like the pictures. Not wanting to accept it we tore the beds apart and quickly found two more in the crevice of the box spring under the bed skirt. We notified the hotel and they came right to the room ,of course, tried to tell us they didn't think they were bedbugs. But then we were told that the room had just been inspected, because they had a complaint there were bedbugs in that Same Room 2 days Before!! I couldn't believe it. I feel that room shouldn't been rented out again so soon, and obviously proper measures hadn't been taken. They did have a (no show) room available at the Holiday Inn Express next store, that they also owned, and moved us there. They were overall very nice about everything, and did not charge us for the night. I have to say the Holiday Inn was much nicer and I would recommend it. We didn't let it ruin our weekend but we lost several hours of sleep, and everything had to be inspected before we brought anything into our house, the suitcase is still outside :(
