Super 8 Mackinaw City/Beachfront Area

The hotel is in a very nice place: beach front and close to the city downtown and the ferry to Mackinac Island. The rooms are completely outdated. They may be clean, but look dirty. Breakfast area is terrible. It is very small and you cannot walk inside without bump to another person. It used to be in the pool area, which was very nice. The free internet provided is really, really slow.

My Aunt had a problem going to the second floor because of the open staircase. The staff jump threw hoops getting another room for us on the bottom floor. The staff there are wonderful including the room keepers.. I'll return next year and book threw them !!

There was a really nice sandy beach with furniture. There was also an indoor pool. The Hotel was good for an over night or a longer resort like stay. One of the ferries to Mackinaw Island was only block away. There were plenty of nearby restaurants.

We spent 2 nights at this hotel. The decor is dated but the hotel was very clean, the staff was extremely friendly and you can't beat the location. We loved our view of the lake and the kids played for hours on the beach that was literally steps from our hotel room. The included continental breakfast was limited but very good. An fitness room is listed in the description but it is actually at the hotel next door. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again!

Very outdated & disrepair, desk man a little crabby, breakfast standard. Convienent to everything Mackinaw!

The hotel was closed when my driver arrived. He was directed to another (much nicer) hotel a few doors down the block. No explaination given.

Great sunrise, off season, sunday night, breakfast was next door.

We stayed there for 1 night while visiting Mackinaw City and Macinac Island. Perfect location, close to ferry docks and downtown but yet not right where all the tourists are walking around. Room was clean and exactly like expected. Didn't use the pool or hot tub but the beach is nice. The breakfast could have had a few more options but was alright.

Overall, hotel was okay. First, the lady that checked us in gave us wrong directions to our room...she pointed across the parking lot, our room was above the lobby! Shower curtain was missing, doors creaked loudly, coffee maker was broke and walls are thin!!!

Came in around 9pm for the night. Staff was not friendly or informative. Room wasnt great...felt almost unclean. Mattress were terrible. Only had 1 clean washcloth. 4 towels, 2 hand towels, 1 clean washcloth and 1 dirty one still hanging over shower. Not my idea of a good time

Room was dirty we complained and was moved to another room that wasnt much. The ac did not work properly it was very hot and uncomfortable. It was a big disappointment

Nice location, and nice view from the room and great amentities, like the pool and sauna and hot tub.

Great beach very nice location. Definitely old school motel. Could use walls to make the balconies private.

The location is great. The indoor pool is nice in colder weather. The staff is the most rude that I have ever encountered.

left something to be desired. wasn't impressed. wouldn't stay there again.

Location was perfect..the beach was the best part of this hotel. Our stay came with complimentary indoor water park passes (unlimited all week) at three different hotels with indoor water parks. This came in handy when it was raining a few days. The internet was unacceptable. Everyone had to go into the breakfast room just to use it. The front desk staff was friendly, housekeeping was very unfriendly.

Stayed three days to attend car show in St Ignace. Breakfast was adequate. Parking was a bit crowded, especially on Sat and Sun.

The rooms were very clean and the facility in general seemed to be well maintained. I traveled with my boyfriend and we enjoyed our stay there. The pool and spa area was very clean and we were the only ones there on a Sunday evening in October. The location is good and is within walking distance of all the shops/restaurants/parks in Mackinaw City. With the exception of the hotel desk staff, this trip was very pleasant. Neither of the persons at the desk welcomed us to the hotel nor seemed to care that we had chosen their hotel to stay at. A more personable staff would have been great, but did not ruin our stay. I would recommend this hotel for the price that we paid and the time of year.

good trip motel is dated. location is great

The floors were dirty and there was constant noise all night. The room was okay and the linens seemed to be clean but is it not someplace I would stay again.
