Hotels in northern Michigan can be expensive and hard to get during the popular summer season. This Quality Inn was ok. It's getting a bit old and could use a little updating. It had a room that accommodated our family of five but it was a bit tight. The place was packed since it was reasonably priced. It's right on the water which was cool. Breakfast was fine. We'd stay again.

Comfy cozy inn right off the bridge makes a lovely stay for a few days or a week. Free hot breakfast and most rooms have microwave and fridge. Staff is amazingly accommodating. Ready to help with whatever you need. It's a great way to get away from the Mackinaw City crowd and good launching place for Upper Peninsula destinations.

Just a one night stay as we traveled across the UP. I was greeted at the front desk and welcomed like I was a returnee, though it was my first time. There was a $10 charge for my dog, but many hotels are not pet friendly. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. We had a accessible room, with a walk in shower. Worked well, though I found the toilet crowded by the assist bars. Average "free" breakfast. We will stay again.

Recently refurbished, this hotel offers a full breakfast in a clean, spacious, well-appointed breakfast area. Food is fresh and hot, and there is plenty of choice. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable - and everything seems fresh and new. Our room had the quietest heating/air-conditioning unit I have ever experienced at a chain hotel. But the best part is the staff. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and well-cared for when we had to make an unscheduled 2-day stop there. I cannot thank them enough for their hospitality and service. Its only weakness is that the road intersection on US-2 to the road that leads to the hotel is not well lighted, and the intersection is easy to miss - but that is not the hotel's fault.

Very nice, clean room and a friendly staff. Only complaint was we always look forward to fresh made popcorn when we stay at a Quality or Comfort Inn but this night the popcorn machine was broke. Warm fresh breakfast in the morning was great.

When I heard this hotel was a gold award winner in the chain, I probably raised the expectations higher than I should have. The hotel itself was nice and I really liked the decor. The continental breakfast was very good. The TV channel choices were pretty good too. The location was also a plus. The room, however, was a little disappointing. It was rather small, with a tiny bathroom. There wasn't a refrigerator or microwave in the room, which is almost becoming standard in the chain. The room was a little dark and really could have used another lamp or two. Also, the power situation was terrible. I had a couple pieces of work equipment that I needed to plug in, and there was one spare power outlet (the one in the corner didn't work.) Overall, it was a little disappointing.

I stayed two nights for business and found the room clean, jetted tub/shower a nice perk and the breakfast tasted fresh. The staff were friendly and the complimentary dark chocolate-covered pecans were a welcome treat!

I travel extensively through Michigan's Upper Peninsula for business. After a long day, it is so nice to be greated with a smile and your name even though you haven't been at The Quality Inn for many months. Pet friendly, but very clean rooms are a plus. Paula handled my reservation request very quickly and professionally and Kaiden extended the greeting and an efficient check in at the front desk. Thank you, Jim Bryan

Room was big enough for snowmobile gear and had a hot tub and pool.good price. Also plenty of room for trailer and truck. Nice staff and breakfast was included. Would recommend and we would come back to!

Excellent stay, rooms and hotel is very clean and well kept, even cleaned the snow off the vehicle for us in the morning.. will stay again.. conviently located off I75 and close to the downtown area resturants.
