Harbour View Inn

This is a very nice facility and made for a quiet stop on our way back home to southern Michigan.

The Harbor View Inn is a lovely place just far enough from the action. Very quiet at night. The morning breakfast was only so-so, the usual American diet of poor quality food, high carb breads and muffins, boxes of cereal. Would be nice to have more fruits and veggies.

We spent three relaxing days on Mackinaw at the Harbor View. We could hear waves lapping and horse hoofs clattering peacefully outside our window.

No ...not hd accessable. Way to much money for the room.

Short walk to restaurants, shops and island's attractions. Harbor not visable from hotel but can see light house and the harbor entrance.

Like stepping back in time, in a very comfortable manner.

Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of stairs up to the 3rd floor.

This was our first time staying on the island and we had a great time we love them location of the hotel and it's charm, we will definitely be back.

Very pleasant stay - would come back again. Having perfect weather makes the stay even better for wandering.

Enjoyable place. Windows overlook the main street and the breeze came through nicely. Pleasant staff.

We got an upgrade when we checked in- room was a suite overlooking Lake Huron- beautiful, with balcony. Very clean, would stay here again. Only complaint would be the front desk - Larry was nice, but the others were not as friendly...still waiting for a printed receipt of our stay!

Staff was friendly , very accommodating. Locations was good not in the heart of main street but everything is very walkable,

We celebrated our 43rd anniversary on the island. The weather cooperated even if it was chilly. We dressed for it. The bike ride around the island was beautiful. The buggy ride entertaining and educational. The Harbour View Inn was great.

We spent two days , the rooms were clean staff was helpful but the breakfast was poor and the dining room was pretty tight we did not have enough room between tables, but overall was a nice experience.i would go back next year.

I felt so at home here. The room was beautiful. The hotel was close to everything, and the staff was helpful.

Not a bad place, not a great place. For over 200.00 a night I want a little bit of wow. The location is perfect, but just about every room on Mackinac Island has a perfect location. Would I go back? To the Island yes, to this hotel/B&B no. I would roll the dice and try another hotel/B&B.

Right after Labor Day is a great time to go The island. Room rates are not down yet but the crowds are. Harbour View Inn was super clean, quiet at night and had a very good breakfast. Rent a bike right from the front desk & it's only $5/hr. Very close to town...prob 100 yards. You may have to climb some stairs if your room is in the back annex.

WiFi was very poor, couldn't connect most of the time. Outlets were old and would not hold. Chargers, curling iron, etc plug-ins would fall out of outlets. Headboard was just sitting between the bed and the wall, not connected to bed or wall! No desk or rolling chair in room, very difficult to use laptop sitting on bed hunched over, no extra pillows to aid comfort. Although Breakfast was served 7 to 9:30 am, entree warmer (scrambled eggs one day, Cheese omelets another day) would be empty by 8:30 and not replenished. Complained about depleted entrees and nothing was rectified. A bowl of hard boiled eggs was put out to replace the entrees. Luggage was put on the wrong ferry, even though it was properly tagged. We did receive a credit for that. We will not return to this hotel nor recommend it!

The island was relaxing & we lost sense of time. The Inn was perfectly located a short walk or quick bike ride from all restaurants. Bars & stores. We loved our patio & quaint outside seating for continental breakfast. We bicycled around the island and found done great mountain bike trails as well. Very safe, we never locked out bikes up!

This is a nice, clean and beautiful hotel. Rooms are surrounded by beautiful gardens; however, there is no view of the island unless you pay the high price of a room with a view of the Harbor. The rooms are newly remodeled and spacious with sliding glass patio doors. Unless you are in the main hotel they are not easily accessed and with staff housing just a talking distance away, it makes the relaxing with their chatting going on. Definitely worth the room with a view in the main house. Wouldn't pay for my room again..by the way..the cable TV is lousy. If that's important to you.

Thank you for your honest feedback about our breakfast times. Our team will have to take a closer look at our times and how they correspond to the ferries. Looking forward to having you as our guests again.
