Staff was nice and pleasant. Room was very out of date. Basic room, no bells or whistle's. Needs many new updates but it worked for staying a night. Breakfast was nothing special, basic hotel food.

Clean, fresh smelling room. fantastic pool with towels available. great hot breakfast with helpful cheerful staff, they held door for me as I had hands full, (took food back to room) they offered to assist me. plan on staying again in spring for winsome women. have already took several friends and family about great experience.

Hotel was ok. Breakfast was pretty good. Other guests were quite noisy at all hours of the night. I guess you can expect that with a bargain hotel.

Nice room. Was clean and comfortable and the pool was nice also. Breakfast in the morning was good and staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.

The only things going for this hotel are it's staff and the breakfast. We stayed for two nights and found the bed to be very uncomfortable. My husband even left the bed and laid down on the floor for a little while the first night. He felt like the pillows were too soft and the bed slanted toward the middle. We do not plan to ever stay here again.

pros: Good Breakfast, swimming pool access cons: not very clean, room looks old - needs updates. Cheap place to stay , so don't expect above and beyond service. Wasn't very baby friendly. Didn't have a play -yard or a high chair (only available in the breakfast room during break fast hours. )

This is your average hotel, they could use some updates to make it more pleasing to the eye, and a microwave in the room would be nice. Also extended breakfast time would be nice cause everyone is trying to cram in in a short time period. Other than that, which is not a problem, we had a great stay. No issues.

Nice people run the place. Good breakfast, great location, quiet rooms a plus. Affordable. Great! Thanks.

The staff was friendly and courteous. The rooms are very basic. The gap around the door is wide enough to see the outside through. Thin mattress, thin blanket, stained carpet. The towels are completely threadbare. A reasonably clean place to sleep, nothing more.

It was alright. Nothing really to complain about. But, then again it was nothing to brag about. I would stay there again-for the price it was a pretty good value

things were worn out and it also needed a good cleaning. Our room carped was so dirty we wore shoes.

would not stay again, family was not comfortable the beds were old and lumpy

This place was total run-down. The beds sheets were old and dirty, the breakfast was okay. Only positive is, its walking distance from the ferry point to island

For a budget motel, this place is very good. For your money you get free WIFI, an awesome pool with hot tub and free continental breakfast including a waffle maker. The room was clean and comfortable. This is the second time I have stayed here and have been satisfied both times. The location is poor and difficult to find for people not from the area. It's off the beaten path. It's a bit far from the Mackinaw City center to walk unless you don't mind a long walk (or driving and parking elsewhere). Overall, a very nice and affordable place to stay.

The sheets on one of the beds had dirty footprints on them. Both my wife and I found french fries on the floor at the edge of the dirty bed.

Good location, easy to find, great breakfast and helpful staff.

The good: had upgraded room with king bed and jacuzzi tub. The room was large and the tub was great. The bad: bed had noticeable lean to one corner in the mattress and was very uncomfortable. They had the worse towels I have ever used at a hotel. They were very rough and old. The breakfast had no eggs so don't go for the breakfast!

My husband and I went to this hotel for our anniversary with our best friends celebrating their anniversary also. We got the the honeymoon package. Not sure what to expect, we walked into our rooms with champagne on ice and a $25 gift certificate to a Mackinac City restaurant. The room was huge and my husband enjoyed the large jacuzzi tub. We truly enjoyed our visit and would return again!

Our stay at America's Best Value Inn in Mackinaw was very pleasant. The room was clean and functional, the location was good, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. It is a great option if you are looking for an economic room close to downtown Mackinaw. Highly recommended.

Our room wasn't ready when we went to check in so we had to wait another hour for check in. When we did check in we had to wait for towels and I had to ask for my package that I had ordered. When we were walking to our room there was bedding laying on the ground and all of the room's doors were open. It looked like they had just stripped the beds and thrown the bedding out the door. 2 hours later when we came back from getting dinner, the bedding was still laying along the parking lot. If I would have driven past this hotel before booking a room, we wouldn't have stayed there.
