"wine & cheese" JUST WINE

Our room was very basic. Bed was comfortable. With the COVID requirements there was little selection available for the continental breakfast - it was difficult to get an extra couple of creamers. There was no gluten free option.

The American Boutique is such a treasure! The location by the Mackinaw bridge is amazing! The rooms are old, but clean, landscaping is beautiful! The pool is great! The staff is friendly. Wine & Cheese basket and breakfast basket were perfect

The pool was broken down and empty. They presented as if it was private on the lake. It was just across the park. The room was small. I wouldn't recommend it.

Wine & cheese in the evening and breakfast in bed delivered to your door was pleasant surprises. Very clever and creative rooms. Loved the theme and hotel. Very pleased with the hotel. Fabulous stay.

My only complaint would be the lighting in the room the bathroom vanity area had the only decent lighting in the room the two lights in the bedroom were dim I felt like i could not see anything. Other than that the beds and pillows were comfortable towels and all other amenities were very nice. Staff was always friendly and helpful.

Lovely staff and guests. The wine and cheese evening gathering was friendly, the morning breakfast diverse and healthful. This was a first-time visit for us, and other guests keep returning. Reasonable rates and access to beautiful walk-ways and parks, lovely garden on the grounds. Yes, the theme rooms are fun and funky--we stayed in the "Beach Room" and a giant poster of Annette and Frankie watched us as we slept and a twinkle-light palm tree lit the corner of our room. We'd stay at the hotel again. And we do recommend it.

Small room, and bathroom Interior is boutique, but furthermore standard motel Modest breakfast on plastic plates Positive is the 6 o clock drink witth chease

Themed room was a very nice touch. Motel location was excellent, right across from beach and an easy walk uptown. We choose a small room which fit our needs, bathroom was tight but very clean and met our needs. Breakfast area is small but with a little planning we made it work. We will definitely stay there again.

I will say the hotel was clean. However, the room was tiny. I was also very disappointed that the room we got was not themed. I booked this in February, due to Orbitz advertising it as a themed room, and a pretty good discount for booking so early. I thought it would be fun for my daughters to stay in a super cute, fun room. The room we received was more boring than grandma's guest bedroom. When I tried speaking to the owner about, he told me that we got the cheapest room there because that's what we paid for...really? This hotel was the same price as a chain hotel, which have much larger rooms. Again, I chose this place because of the cute themed rooms advertised here. He also told me that's what I get for going through a 3rd party like Orbitz. Wow! Is all I can say. My advice...go with the Super 8 right next door to this place. It has more ammentities, and if you have a problem, due to it being a chain (corporation) your complaint will definitely be heard. I love small businesses, and supporting them, but this guy left a very bad taste in my mouth. Very disappointing.

It is a quaint motel in a quiet location. The rooms are nicely decorated, better than the average hotel room. They recommended a great local restaurant just around the corner.

Great place, very clean, nice theme. Easy parking, nice continental breakfast.

Not close to meeting price v. value. The hotel was visibly older and provided less quality than price expectations. Some smell from the average air conditioner. Toilet so low, made for child. Small room really.

Excellent location. It was a quick walk to town and the ferry docks. Hotels owners were very gracious and welcoming. Pool was nice and warm to jump into after a long day on the island. Facilities are older but very functional. Decor was cute. Breakfast left a little to be desired but coffee did the job for us. I would stay here again.

Everything was excellent starting with the staff through the location just full of many activities.

The pool is not broken. Outdoor pools were just allowed to reopen in the state of Michigan and it was announced very last minute. It takes us time to get our pool up and running each season.
