Was worried about some of the negative reviews I had read about this hotel but on staying there for 3 nights on a coach trip I found it was excellent. The food was great and there was plenty of it too both for breakfast and evening meal (3 courses). Everyone I spoke to thought the food was great. The rooms were clean and well appointed with tea/coffee making facilities (regularly topped up) television and en suite bathroom. Everything worked and plenty of hot water with towels changed daily. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.
room excellent value for money food very good as much as you can eat no frills pay for what you get a+++++ would come back if you go there expecting high class then this is not for you if you want value for money then its spot on
just come back from coach trip, & stayed here. Rooms basic, food was nice. Liverpool much nicer than Chester. Lowry ctr was nice & the War Museum. Could see BBC, ITV & the 'Watchdog' place. What a difference, Liverpool is from 10+ years ago, now that they have L'pool 1. Would have liked to look round the Ancient Museum, but didn't have enough time. Took pic of the clippers @ Albert Dock, where they will set sail on Sunday 20th. Weather stayed dry too.
Stayed for 3 nights with national holiday .food excellent plently of choice .staff friendly and helpful .rooms clean and tidy and cleaned everyday .good nights sleep .room decor basic but its a good price for one night .would stay again
insisted I paid extra for the dog when it was not pointed out by booking.com After a long wait to chat to the manager. He told me to take it up with them as it was on their website. the extra £15 made them not competitive with other accommodation. Room tables were scruffy also had to ask them to come up and wipe them. Sausages were cheap rubbish too.
Fantastic tour with national coach holidays , I have being at this hotel last June, and again great hotel in my view , staff were very good, Our tour with National Holidays 9th august 4 days 3 nights, rooms ok food self service, NIALL who worked behind bar was excellent every night.very pleasant ,worked very hard. Sauna, steam room , Jacuzzi, GYM and pool cost 4 pounds great value, but any one using it buy a cheap lock to store clothes IN LOCKER. no coin machines . when you read reviews some may be ok ,but I feel some under estimate this Hotel. ASWELL 5 30 pm till 7 pm happy hour and a half SAN MIGUEL COST £2.45 AFTER SEVEN £3.95. WELL GET A FEW JUST BEFORE SEVEN AND STORE UP THIS IS ON ALL DRINKS. HAS WIFI H0tell999 is password mind you it is zero not letter o in Hotel. mixed swimming pool as all other activites
We booked this hotel so that we could relax and not have to drive really early on the day of our flight as we live in the Lake District, when we arrived we were told that we can not leave our car there and would have to drive to the sister hotel in the morning (precisely what we didn't want to do) the hotel was disgusting it was dirty and smelt horrible. The evening meal was included in the price and was two courses, the restaurant was shut and in darkness so we were told that it would be a bar meal only... First course was tomato and basil soup which looked like a cup a soup with cream added, we were asked if we wanted bread (he came back with slices of a white loaf!) the main course was very limited. We didn't get any sleep as a couple on our corridor argued all night and a one point were fighting smashing things and screaming, as you can imagine this was extremely traumatic for my children who have never experienced anything like this! The whole episode was awful and I will never stay in one of your hotels again let alone recommend it to anyone!!
Dirty rooms and public areas, i discovered that the hotel is being used as a residence for immigrants claiming asylum and refuge. The only plus was the clean daily towels and hot water from the shower.
Out of about 8 staff I dealt with here, one was lovely, the rest......ignorant, rude and unhelpful. The rooms were ok but not terribly clean and very dated. We ate in the bar the first night and the food was absolutely disgusting, sandwiches served on stale bread....just abismal. Although it was fairly cheap and i know you get what you pay for, this was by far the worst place I've ever stayed.
I come to the hotel and discover that the entire place looks run down, smells awful and has the worlds thinnest walls in the world. Disgusted at how this place is, credit to the food that was nice but the actual hotel itself should personally be demolished or revamped. They give you wifi...which doesn't reach your room so have fun trying to do anything. No plugs by your bed so you can't charge your phone without it being by the tv. Honestly....if I could I would tear this place down.
