This motel is sufficient and serves the intended purpose of a safe place to get a good night's sleep. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They do provide free wifi although it is not secure so use at your own risk. Rooms are clean and stocked well. Appearances seem to indicate that the rooms haven't been updated in a long time, if ever. Cable TV is provided.
The deer Ville was the first place I could find off the road during a storm. As a woman traveling by myself I checked into the hotel. When I got to my room that was facing the truck stop I had an uneasy feeling and could hear voices in the next room and all the activity at the truck stop. I removed everything from the room I had not even unpacked a thing I was in the room for literally three minutes. I went and told the lady at the desk I needed to check out I did not feel safe in their establishment. She did not refund my card. I called to speak to a manager the next day who said it was their policy not to refund money. The room was also dark and rundown with two very small towels in the bathroom. I would not recommend this establishment.
Nice little hotel just off the freeway. Small place next to truck stop, the only immediate food. Ace has nice amenities. Modern fixtures. Only complaint, remote battery dead and jacuzzi tub needed better cleaning. A good value for the money.
Wifi did not work. We tried for hours. The lady at the front desk rebooted the system to no avail. The bed was not comfortable at all. The carpet was dirty. We will never stay there again. We travel through that part of the country twice a year.
I am a vehicle Escort for Oversize. This location is convenient when I am with a truck. Bed was clean and comfortable, room was clean and smelled fresh. Could use a little fabric softener in the towels! It was a good value. HVAC was a little noisy. Nothing in area to distract one from resting. Food in area was scarce! Truck stop deli, and a couple mom and pop cafés in Steele about a mile away. Overall a god night. 10 hours of good sleep!
My family and I stayed here a couple years ago and this time I was by myself. The lobby has some new upgrades and looked as clean an neat as I remember it. The same man was working and he remembered me! I was surprised since it had been a couple years. My bed had clean new duvet comforters, and I really like the soap dispensers in the bathroom! Never seen those in a motel before, and I like that I didn't have to fight to open a tiny bar of soap. They've added bagels and muffins to the breakfast and that was a nice touch. I will keep coming back here, for certain!
We had a flat and stopped at the BP across the motel. From the outside this place looks decent. From Inside its a [--]. They gave us room 204. We went in and it was muggy. Went to lay down and there were crumbs and pubes on both beds. A fly in the sink and a weird spider crawling around. I called the front desk and told the lady the situation. She was surprised to hear this. She told me that she would come and give me some sheets. I told her I would rather have my room changed. She agreed and moved us to room 208. Damn kind of wished I stayed in 204. A/C doesn't work. Beds have pubes and crumbs still and the comforter has [--] coming out of it. They must get many requests for refunds because they clearly have it stated "NO REFUNDS" when you check in. If I didnt have a flat I would have left by now. Its 2 am and thinking about putting on the spare and driving down couple miles. Save your money and drive on another couple miles.
I stayed here one day in August and I enjoyed a lot! Breakfast wasn't that various but it was just enough. you can have oatmeal, cereal, waffle, and etc. The bathroom was okay, and what is the most important is the owner was so kind. I left my phone in my room, and he contacted me so he sent me my phone right away to Texas. There were some problem during the process, but he was so thoughtful! Service was so nice.
