While the place was clean and reasonable priced, the bed in the loft area was extremely uncomfortable. My son slept on the pull out couch, which the mattress was worn and had a very deep indent. I would still recommend it based on price.

Good value in a condo. Close to restaurants and shopping. Did have an unusual arrangement. Bedroom upstairs bathroom downstairs.

Great room and location. Our stay was very quiet even though there were lots of kids on the property. The hotel staff was very attentive and even called after check in to make sure everything was ok. I will be back.

The check in staff was great very nice and efficient. Our room met our needs and was very clean! The excercise facilities were a plus with a newly remodeled space and newer equipment. The only downside to our stay was the sounds-you could hear anyone in hallways and any rooms that were against another room. Our particular stay had a few families that the kids were abbot on the loud side later at night. Overall I thought it was a great hotel for what it provided.

We booked a suite and the description says the two-bed room has two queen size beds, however it turns out to be two full size beds. After talking to the hotel staff, we were told they never have queen size beds in their rooms and it was a mistake on Orbitz, and there was nothing they could do. We were already there and the suite was already paid for, so that didn't help. One of the girls who was supposed to share a bed had to sleep on the floor, luckily one of us brought a sleeping bag. It was a disappointing two-night experience. Otherwise, the room was OK, and the hotel shuttle to the steamboat resort was convenient.

Hotel was much better than expected, particularly given the price. We did appreciate the separate bedroom/living room room setup and, most importantly, the kitchen. For us, it turned out to be a great choice. The bed was excellent with what appears to be a new mattress and the main bathroom has been totally re-done and the equivalent of what you will find in much higher-priced hotels. The staff with whom we interacted were great. I couldn't have asked for a friendlier and more helpful person than Nick, who is in charge of the front desk. Based upon our stay and Nick's assistance, we will be returning in another month. As fairly regular visitor to Steamboat, this has now become our go-to hotel. We started out by reserving one of the loft-type studios, which costs less than the one-bedroom units. However, there is no way to cover the semi-skylight which means there is no way to darken the room. Also. the steps up to the loft are quite steep. Going up and down in the middle of the night for a bathroom visit can be treacherous in the dark. We asked for an upgrade to a one-bedroom unit and were fortunate in that one was available. Once again, the staff was most helpful.

It was outstanding, very clean, great little kitchen, comfortable mattress, clean furniture. Nice pool, a bit cold, great hot tub. The resort is close to some power lines that buzz when you sit outside, otherwise no complaints.

Great town !! Great hiking around. Hotel stay was good and close to town centre. Devil Causeway Hike and Yampa must visit areas for great adventures and outdoor fun!

The hotel met basically met our expectations but the suite was slightly larger than expected. Nothing fancy but a comfortable, clean room for a reasonable price during peak ski season. 3 people in the one bedroom suite. Bedroom was very roomy and overall the size of the room and kitchen made this a good value. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Shuttle service is limited during mid-day but it was timely and convenient as scheduled.

My husband and I stayed one night on a business trip. While the hotel boasts about it's refurbishing, we would hardly say that it was a quality job. The bed and bath linens were very nice, and the kitchen appliances appeared to be newer (we didn't use them), but the small details were highly disappointing. The road leading to the property was full of potholes (possibly a town maintenance issue?) and the brick walkway leading to the main entrance was a definite hazard - to the extent that a rubber mat had been placed over some of the holes where bricks were missing. Inside the unit, for example, the kitchen drywall was badly damaged above the bottom trim on one wall, and the bathroom towel rack was ready to fall off the wall! (Perhaps because there was one 24" rack for the 6 sets of towels supplied.)

I will just write somethings that for my opinion need to be done: 1. From the day of check in to the day of check out, stuck of the old laundry from cleaning the room was under my rooms door. 2. TV was too small (27" or 32"). 3. All bedding linen was too old and not comfortable for sleep. I sleep with my closes on, because I didn't trust for those. 4. They have 2 buildings. When I paid to this room online it showed they have a pool and hot tub and playground. Covered pool was in other building which is 0.4 miles away from the building i was in. When you have 4 kids, you don't want them to travel 0.4 miles to swim and back 0.4 miles. Overall: Good motel (it is not Hotel) for trip with you friends, but for family trip you want something more comfortable and CLEAN....

I have stayed at this hotel before and it was ok back then. They have remodeled the rooms and they look great! I had my 3 month old son with me and was at the very end of the hall. The elevators were a fair walk in the other direction so that was no exactly convenient with a newborn and all of the associated gear. I had requested an infant bed (pack n play) ahead of time when I made my booking. When I got there, the front desk person seemed clueless that I requested that and said she'd have maintenance bring one up. After being there for about half an hour, we received a call from her that she couldn't fine the pack n plays. So we had to make other sleeping arrangements for our baby. The 2nd night, a different front desk staff person called asking if we wanted a pack n play-at this point we decided against because we had already figured out something that had worked the night before (we only stayed the 2 nights). The pool was very chilly! I had called down to the front desk asking what the temperature was before heading down with the baby. They didn't know, but said they'd call back after talking to maintenance. The return call informed us that the pool was kept at 90+ degrees (which would have been perfect for a 3 month old). My husband and I got our son ready for the pool and headed down. I had my son in my arms and was going to step down into the pool-the water was NOT anywhere near 90 degrees. It was more around 70-something degrees-way too chilly for a newborn. Had I known that, I wouldn't have spent the time getting myself and him ready to go swimming and done something else (anyone with a newborn knows that getting ready to go do anything is a bit of a process). Other than the above mentioned things, the room was very nice. The bed was very comfortable (although when the air in the bedroom would kick on, it was quite loud and would wake us up every time). I would recommend this hotel to family and friends, and may try to stay there again next year.

The hotel was ok. Its older they have done some update which is nice. The hot tub was cool one of the days. They only clean your room for a fee, we stayed for3 days and it would of been nice to have the garbage taken out.And theroom tidied up. Over all it was ok

The tennis courts were not useable, the patio needed repair and the pool water was gross. However, the rooms and appliances were very clean.

We had a wonderful stay at the Legacy Vacation Resort. Our one bedroom condo was very spacious with the master bdrm upstairs away from the living room/kitchen area. They have everything you need when away from home. The pool was a little cold and the hot tub a little too hot but otherwise and great place to stay.

A clean, secluded hotel about a mile from downtown. A good centralized location for both skiing and nightlife. The only issue was the you had to take a shuttle to use the hot tub which is at a different location. Nice staff too.

We stayed in a loft and really appreciated the roominess and cleanliness. great staff and a very comfortable place

This hotel was very nice for the money, location, and extras. They have a full shuttle for guests that was very helpful when we wanted to go down town and to the hill.

We went for some weekend skiing. The facilites were very good - in fact they upgraded us for no extra charge from a one room studio to a two-room suite. Rooms were clean and not in need of updating. We had a couple of hiccups, i.e., there was no bedding in the room for the fold out couch, the free shuttle van to the ski area was a good half hour late Saturday morning, and the checkout process took over 10 minutes while the desk clerk figured out how to log onto the system. Beware that after 10pm or so, the front desk is closed, and if you call the front desk after that time, the people that answer the phone are in Orlando. One other querky thing is that they don't do daily maid service - but will bring you whatever you need - so you can remake your own bed.

Ski Trip, March 2011. The Hilltop most likely was most likely a great place to stay 10-15 years ago. Our room had torn walpaper, patched walls, and torn carpet. It was designated a "studio" however, it was basically a standard hotel room with a microwave and refrigerator with very limited kitchen equipment. The shuttle service was great - took us to the slopes and downtown whenever we wanted to go!
