A very nice comfortable hotel with walking distance to the city center. Rooms were spacious and clean. The staff there are very helpful and friendly especially Martin and Katharina. Breakfast buffet was very good and the service personnel were very cheerful and efficient. Sammy makes everyone feels welcome with her sweet smile. The 26 North restaurant in the hotel have a fantastic cod fish and chips with tartar sauce that one must try. There is a parking lot under the hotel otherwise there is also a parking house across the street.
Located off the main roads in Stavanger, and not to be confused with the Royal down the hill, this is my prefeered hotel in Stavanger. 10 minutes from the old town and 10 minutes from the train station, it is well located. They had a refit a few years ago and the new pool & gym area is very pleasant. Check in is friendly & helpful as ever, the rooms as bland as you'd expect, and the downstairs car park can be a bit of a squeeze, but really no complaints for either the business traveller or for a weekend with the family. It has the usual excellent buffer breakfast.
The staff were really friendly and helpful, the quality of produce at the breakfast, there restaurant and bar was exceptional.Norway is expensive but out bill came to a lot less then we expected, when we return to Stavanger this is where we will stay.
Stayed two nights. The hotel staff were excellent, the breakfast offered good choice and the fitness center was good. However overall the hotel is tired and need of upgrades and redecorating. This was especially true of the hall carpets that I suspect have been laid 7-8 years or more. Connor rooms offer some additional space.
The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly and the hotel is very clean and the rooms also The breakfast were tasty and nice im looking forward to stay in the hotel in my next visit I would like to thanks the management of the hotel
very good experience with the hotel , the restaurant, the room and the swimming pool. in particulaer very good experince with the cahanging room facilities and the beautiful and large Jacuzzi in the spa.
A classic Radisson hotel - no surprises, just good. We got a huge room with a large kingsize bed, and I haven't slept that good in a long time. A plus with the 26 North restaurant inside the hotel. Recommended for a weekend stay.
Wonderful staff, quiet room, comfortable bed, very clean. Loved the jacuzzi tub and separate pool and sauna. Attached restaurant was always full and the staff found a way to accomodate me. Lovely food. Breakfast is included and top notch.
As some other reviews mention, this is the best hotel in Stavanger. It certainly is a very good hotel, I would recommend to request a room with an outside window away from the atrium. Breakfast is usually very good.
Being on business trips is never a great thing - but the Ladies and Gentlemen at this Radisson Blu Royal in SVG make it as agreeable for you as possible. The rooms are not overpriced as in other venues of the city and the size is about just right for a single traveller. The gym has good working treadmills - and the breakfast is heavenly! I stayed for 3 nights and was happy about my choice, as this hotel is in convenient walking distance to the restaurants in downtown. The only little minus, but out of the influence of the Radisson Blu Royal, is the fact that parking a rental car is quite difficult there. My parking house was a 8-minutes walk away...Thanks, Team Radisson Blu Royal SVG - well done!
