Front desk person very friendly and helpful. pet friendly. Everything is very worn out but looks like they've tried to help with some paint. Room has a flat screen TV, older micro and fridge but at least they had them. I'd stay again if in the area.
NASTY! Room was infested with cockroaches...even in the beds!!!!! Confirmation # no good and didnt give a receipt......can't leave feedback on website....wonder why....horrible ....don't stay there .....takes pets but no place for them outside.....worst stay in hotel/motel EVER!!!!
Our bad experience started at check-in. There was a huge line and one clerk who was operating in slow motion. She took twice as long to complete any transaction than is normal. No friendly greeting, no apparent interest in serving customers. The room was clean on the surface, but it was moldy and it had a strange smell. I am desperately allergic to mold, so I had asthma all night. For that we paid over $100 a night. Not a good value.
Something woke me up at 2am. Went to get a glass of water and that is when I saw them. Fast little buggers freaked me out! Thankfully I only brought in my overnight bag which I promptly emptied and shook out before bringing it back to the car. In the morning, the housekeeper was walking past my room and I told her about them. She came in and confirmed as a couple were by the microwave AND in the refrigerator. Gross! i went to check out and the clerk called the manager who was very rude after I told him I wanted a refund. He offered me 10% which I declined and told him I wanted at least 50% although the room should have been completely refunded. Then he had the audacity to tell me I could have called the front desk at 2am and ask to be moved to another room. I told him chances were very good that my room wasn't the only one with roaches. Then he said my room was an isolated event. Yeah, right! Does this guy think people are that dumb? Oh, I forgot to mention that the housekeeper was there during my conversation with the manager and even told him about the problem. He actually handed her a can of Raid. Will be calling Choice Hotels corporation as I have been a member of their Choice Rewards program for many years. Red Roof or Motel 6 would have been a better choice.
very good experience. accommodations were suitable, clean nice hotel. Reasonable priced. Nice customer service people at front desk. Easy to find the hotel-its off the interstate. Microwave and refrigerator are available.
Too old and smelly to be at all comfortable. The blanket must have been from the 90's with all the holes. Can't say it was 'dirty', but sure didn't feel clean. Spend the extra and stay elsewhere. Breakfast was a joke. Only good things I can say- friendly staff and dog friendly
On a trip across the country and happened to be passing through the area. Most places near Lexington were booked and expensive ($160+). We just needed a place to crash. This had everything we needed. Things looked clean for the most part. Sheets were clean, I checked the mattress itself and that looked clean of any signs of bugs, the bathroom was clean. The only thing that was a bit gross was that we spilled something on the floor and when my husband cleaned it up the white wash cloth was grey... The carpets look old and probably need a scrub or replacing. Everything else was satisfactory. The breakfast in the morning was very sparse but for the price difference we figured we could manage. I would recommend for a quick stop in the area. Wouldn't be my first pick but it's not a bad place to hang your hat for a night.
Property is old and shows it. When checking in, was put in the second building away from the building the office was in. It was a handicapped room, as stated on an old office style sign on the room's door. I do not require a handicapped room, and the hotel was far from full. Don't know why they assigned that room. This hotel appears to be in the style of a Holiday Inn from the 50's with no updates. Room appeared clean and bathroom was worn but clean.
Hotel is very noisy can here everything from the room above too bright from street lights right by the window, breakfast was mini muffins,English muffins and cold cereal would not stay again. Rugs were dirty and the main office when I walked in smelled like a dirty mop the only plus was the Japanese steakhouse next door that food was good
I'd stayed in another motel in the area last year, but wanted something a little more central while travelling north on I81. The location of the hotel is excellent-walk to Chili's, Starbucks and other restaurants in the area. There is gas stations, shopping at Walmart etc. The room was in the unattached block across from the main building. It was quiet and clean. TV worked, but wifi was sooooo slow,,I checked it was less than a Meg download speed. Oh well. Pet fee for my dog was $10. The front desk staff- I didn't get her name, was very friendly and helpful. I was up and gone before "breakfast" - grabbed a coffee at Starbucks and was gone bright and early. All in all, a good stay,, nothing fancy,, get what you pay for!
