We have stayed at Baymont on many occasions but this time was very different. We noticed upon check in that the counter lady seemed to be in a very bad mood. So my wife tried to make small talk and said are you by yourself today. Her response was we're always by our self unless we're extremely busy. There was no eye contact no smiles and no kindness. Here are a few things we recognized as we went through the evening. As we went to the elevator to go up to our room the bar in elevator one was broken. We also noticed that the ice machine was broken. When we got to our room the children went to the computer and the computer was broken. We then noticed that the headboard on the bed was broken. The small light next to the computer was broken it was also missing an adapter plug to plug in. We called down to the office to make them aware that the computer was broken and the lady stated someone would be up to check it out. After waitingan hour we called again. She stated you are on the waiting list. 10 minutes later a very loud and angry knock came at the door. We open the door it was the same lady with no smiles. The computer was never fixed and she never returned or called. The elevator floor was very dirty. The exercise room was unavailable because of repairs being done. We will not return. Hotel was very badly kept.

It would be generous to give this place a one star rating. I'm not sure why Orbits rates it as a two star. First off we walked into our "non-smoking" room and immediately was engulfed with a strong smokey odor. I went to the phone and it did not work. My wife went to the window to check the view only to find a smeared dirty window. I called the front desk from my cell and asked for a new room. They moved us down the hall. This room didn't smell like smoke so that was a plus but we did find cat food on the floor and mold around the shower. After thinking on it a bit, the first room they assigned us had an air wick hanging near the entrance. The new room did not. My wife and I decided that room must be the Orbits, Priceline or "special" room. The next morning my wife went down for the breakfast which consisted of powdered eggs, nasty sausage circles, an empty crock pot of grits, a waffle maker with no waffle mix, juice and coffee. Very sad looking. My wife went to the front desk to inquire about the waffle mix and had to wait in line behind 3 different people comlaining about their rooms. We left the room around 11:00 am to go to the GA Southern game. When we returned around 10 pm the room had not been serviced. We thought we were getting a good deal since we booked through Orbits and got the room for $70 per night. After staying there two nights we now feel like we were suckered. We will never stay at the Baymont in Statesboro and we seriously question Orbits star ratings.

door would not lock ironing board broken TV stactic, inpossible to hear pillows rolled up in balls sheets did not fit smell of fire

Rooms was not clean all that good bathtub wasn't working had burns in carpet

Very friendly staff even though the hotel is under construction still very pleasant stay

The hotel is under some type of construction and the smells in the hallway were terrible. The bathroom was not cleaned thoroughly. The shower curtain had mold on it.

Both queen sized beds squeaked. There was a round toilet seat on an oval toilet. The shower curtain rod was coming loose from the wall. Every thing else was good.

The hotel is very old and long overdue for renovation. The room stunk heavily of chemicals, mildew, mold and we did have respiratory issues while we were there. The room wasnt cleaned super well...there was hair around in various bathroom places. There was a dead cricket overnight...better than a roach for sure, but the interday cleaning staff didnt even clean it up! The location was good and we did sleep pretty well there so it was ok. The price was very high because it was parents weekend but the quality was no where near the price paid.

At check in the hotel lobby was uncomfortable at at least 80 degrees or more. The floors were wet and could have posed hazard to someone walking if they were not careful. The floor in our room was soaked in spots. There were brown spots on the wall showing a recent leak. Everything smelled like mold and mildew. The elevators smelled like urine. If it had not been so late, we would have tried to move to another hotel. The staff indicated the roof of the hotel was being replaced which caused the odor. If that were the case, the hotel should have considered closing instead of remaining open during this time.

A great place, i would definitely recommend it. Very comfortable beds, we had absolutely no complaints. Loved their breakfast. Fairly reasonable for the location.

Hotel was clean and comfortable, no issues. Staff was helpful and friendly. Would stay again

Hotel has really fallen for the worst! Housekeeping did not clean room for the entire stay. I complained to the front desk each day and all I got was I'm sorry, here are some clean towels. No explanation why this kept reoccurring and no effort to correct it!

the hotel was very clean and the staff was all friendly

Have stayed here several times. Nice room and good breakfast. Wish bathroom was a little bigger!

Front desk Staff was amazing... Directions and recommendations for restaurants. Room well needs a lot of tlc... You can see the multiple patches on the walls. Not sure if star bursts were smered into the wall above the door. The cabinets in the kitchenette area were lose and hanging. Couple of the towels had dirty spots on them. The beds squeaked as if the springs were going to pop out of the mattress. Breakfast hostess was no where to be found.

Ac kept us up all night but friendly staff and good for price

Old property. Downtown. Many people hanging out in foyer.

The room was nice, it was just the people that was staying there while I was. Noisy and child playing with fire alarm

EVERYTHING WAS GREAT.... AND STAFF WAS SUPER NICE, THE HOTEL WAS SUPER CONVIENENT AND THE FLAT SCREN WAS ICING ON H CAKE

I had an awesome time wen i stayed at the Baymount this past Jan. 2014!!! The location was perfect and the breakfast was tatsy!!!

I am disappointed to read this experience and review. We had three positive feedback reviews this weekend; however, we failed with our experience and service to you. I apologize, and this is not acceptable. We will work hard to address the problems.
