You have to drive around to get to the outdoor pool. The check in is too late (4pm)

In dire need for renovations Very old & run down No window made room seem sad & depressing mood Bathroom extremely small & therefore unable to manage doing anything in there Lights were dim & A fuse bleeduring the night we could not turn on the bathroom light it was very inconvenient

Worst place I've ever stayed at. Restaurant staff are extremely rude and food was vulgar.

Nice hotel and very clean, quiet. Nice staff, nice pool, overall a good hotel.

Close to penn state needs more better lighting in bathroom didn't like to stay on bottom floor preferred upper level

I hadn't stayed here in 30 years and I must say that this hotel needs a complete overhaul. Room 116 is the first guest room following a group of Ramada offices. People walking through our hallway had no idea that ours was a guest room. Beginning at 635am, loud patrons walked down the hallway non-stop, some even banging on the glass windows outside of our room. Yes, each room has a large glass window facing the hallway. There's no window facing the outside either. Just imagine an inside cabin of a cruise ship and that's the type of room we were in. When we arrived, the ventilation wasn't working, but it did get fixed by maintenance once we returned. With all of the options in State College, we won't return to this property again. For a few dollars more, we could have had a nicer hotel with free breakfast. We'll remember for the next time we are in town.

Just two weaknesses. The staff too limited for the size of this hotel. Twice I went to front-desk, and each time there was a long line. They didn't send the complimentary tooth brushes to room, but asked to stop by and pick up, citing staff shortage. Did not offer complimentary delayed check out, citing overbooking. Room doors open in open space - leading to compromised privacy, and weather issues. But all else good.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. A nice place to stay on a football weekend.

The hotel was in a good location and convenient to the college campus. It was clean and comfortable however it was lacking frills. There's no soap when we arrived late at night and also the room keys needed to be replaced several times as they were not working.

Walls are a little thin hair found in soap dish but over all it served purpose.

The room was clean and comfortable, the desk staff were helpful and friendly, the location was great. The only two challengers were finding our room to begin with... .hallways were not marked, and the hotel is laid out like a spider and you can't get to some places without going all the way back to where you started. The same is for the outside of the building when you are trying to drive around to park near your room. I did find a map at the desk later at check-out, that would have been helpful. :-)

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The room was big and comfy. Good location to get to the things we wanted to do. The main problem was that we specifically booked this hotel for the indoor pool and hot tub. Upon arriving we were told the pool was useable but the hot tub had been resurfaced and was out of commission for a week. This was very dissappointing as I have many health problems and was hoping the hot tub would help ease some of my pains so I could enjoy my birthday trip. We did try the pool and was told the water temp was 82 but it was much colder than that. Also there was never anything said about what time the weekday breakfast buffet ended. We saw that the restaurant served till 11 and thought that was the time for the buffet as well. We got there at 10:15 to be told it ended at 10.

We stayed two nights at the hotel while we were in the area to catch Minor League Baseball games in State College and Williamsport. It was a great price for a very comfortable room. You can tell parts had been recently renovated. The room was perfect and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent. It had a great variety of food. It wasn't just carbs. Protein, fruit and yogurt were also available.

Granddaughter loved the pool. Breakfast was great. Would stay again.

Hotel was nice, clean and close to our destination. I would definitely use this hotel again, and plan to do so next year. It was a Penn State football weekend, and we do intend to do there in the fall of 2015.

Overall the experience was fine. The hotel staff was friendly but the thermostat was not working properly - it did not heat the room.

We had a great time on this football weekend. Room was clean, staff was very friendly. This was my second visit to this hotel and would definitely stay here again

Very accommodating staff. Great location. Great 'value'.

We stayed at the Ramada for just a one night get away. Walked in and I was less than please by the appearance of the hotel room. I walked into the bathroom and there was a musty smell, so I called down to the lobby and instead of offering us another room due she sent someone up to just spray it. The smell was my biggest thing. The rooms need updated big time. It was a very cheap room and it is in a nice location. I would consider staying here again, due to the pricing.

My wife and I stayed at the State College Ramada hotel, and we were very pleased with the experience! The room was clean, and the hotel staff were very helpful and courteous! The PJ Harrigan's restaurant and bar were convenient and had good food along with an equally helpful and courteous waiting staff. The next time we hit Penn State Main, we're definitely staying at the Ramada!
