one night booked all very good as hotels should be! from parking the car to check in to room service to standard of room to food to service and check out - would recommend also great location for in and around the east side of Birmingham
Very good hotel, with friendly & helpful staff, and wonderful food. Wonderful located hotel on the Doorstep of Drayton Manor Theme Park. This is the dream hotel for all parents and their kids! All of the staff from the boss to the reception employees are eager to make you feel welcomed and at home during your stay. The food is excellent, the activities are numerous and varied and the surroundings are just exceptional. 5 star-plus :)
I used this hotel for an overnight business trip. The Drayton manor hotel is located in the Drayton manor theme park and it is of a very high quality. There is a restaurant on site which is also reasonably priced. Breakfast was good and it has decent wifi. The rooms are really good. I would definitely recommend this hotel for corporate use or for families as its a well fitted out hotel.
I took my 8yr old for his birthday and he absolutly loved it especaily seeing the fat controller every morning before breakfast. Our room was perfectly suited to us with plenty of space and it was spotless. The staff are all brilliant. Already making plans to go for christmas.
A fabulous place to bring a child from about 4 - 8yrs old. Every effort made by the team to.ensure you and your little ones have a great time. Staff in the hotel or themed park.coulsnt be better. The only negative was rhat the hotel.was a bit pricy for food and beverages and as you are with young children you are limited But oveeall a great place
Lovely theme park with lots for the whole family. Visited for my youngest sons birthday twice he loves Thomas world. Foods lovely and place very clean and people are very friendly and helpful. would recommend a visit to Drayton mannor theme park if you have young children as they will love it.
Lovely Hotel , Staff were very polite nothing was too much trouble . Went to Thomasland a 60 second walk it was great fun . My Husband 7 year old Daughter and 4 year old Son loved every minute of it . Breakfast in Hotel fabulous . Dinner great choices .
My wife and I stayed here with our grandchildren, daughter and her husband. The hotel is clean, bright and welcoming and the staff are always smiling and helpful. Our room was a double with a double fold up bed for two of the grandchildren and we had plenty of room. There is all the usual equipment you would expect in a modern hotel, tv, tea / coffee making facilities, fridge, plenty of wardrobe space and a bright, very clean bathroom. The beds were comfortable and the room overlooked a small parkland play area. The Carousel bar is spacious and comfortable and you can take the children in there. The kids club runs from 6.30pm to 8.30pm but be aware this is not every day of the week. The full English breakfast is an absolute delight with cereals, fruit and fruit juices. We loved the sausages and the freshly cooked eggs and bacon, copious amounts of tea and coffee and plenty of toast and croissants. If you are going to the theme park, this is an ideal and very convenient place to stay. We only paid £86 for Bed and Breakfast and given the standard. We thought this was very good value for money and would definitely recommend it.
The theming of the hotel is very nice, very Thomas (the tank engine) oriented. The room was relatively spacious and comfortable, although when booking a room for myself, my wife and our tiny son (who's in a cot bed) we can't quite understand how the "main" bed was actually two single beds. Odd, but never mind because they were comfortable. We had no noise from other rooms nor from the corridor outside. The breakfast was excellent - buffet with actual serve yourself hot items, not having to order them separately; something we find rare these days. The only real gripe we would have is the shop that's in reception. It's a good idea to have the shop, and I don't disagree that having it there is nice - but the prices!! I understand that you're a captive audience, that it's part of the Thomas experience, etc., but these are predominantly toys. So what heartless so-and-so is so money-grubbing that they're charging MORE THAN DOUBLE the price of what the identical items are from Amazon (who themselves, must be making money). Shame!
We took our grandchild to Drayton Manor. He is 2 years old and the Thomas Land was amazing for him and children of that age. We visited on the Sunday in order that we could see the last night of the fireworks and decided that after a long day joining a queue to leave the park and the journey home was not an option we wanted. We therefore booked an overnight stay at the hotel. The booking included the one day park visit and full breakfast. The booking was easy and straight forward. We arrived in the morning, followed the main entrance to the hotel carpark to park and collected our park tickets from the reception. There is plenty of car park space and even if the hotel is full there is a large adjoining carpark. We booked into our room later that afternoon. The reception staff were very polite and helpful. The room we had was a standard family room, the bed was large comfortable and the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. A cot was provided on request. There is tea/coffee facility, a fridge, good sized TV and iron hairdryer etc. We had no trouble with noise when any other part of the hotel and we had a good night sleep. We would stay again and would recommend the hotel.
