Nasty customer service owner son is rude and nasty, if you want to pay for nasty service of owner defiantly visit here, will never go or recommend this place to anyone. Never do business with these guys very dissatisfied

We came down here to do a sailing course and stayed here two different nights. The restaurant is overpriced, but hotel was charming. The view was gorgeous. The location is quite out of the way, but worth the view of the bay. Every time we went to the office (even checking in and out) there was never anyone there. It was frustrating, but overall a nice place to stay. We would stay here again.

Where do I start! Arrived two days after Hurricane looking to survive, plane and simple. Owner Adam Israel, after suffering a devastating loss to his beautiful hotel, offered us much needed refuge, and did so like we were checking in for a vacation, well almost like that! The truth was his entire operation had been turned upside down by Hurricane Irma. Almost his entire staff had to vacate the property, in order to take care of their families and their own homes, leaving Adam with a skeleton crew of folks that from minute one said..."Adam is the Best man on the Island," that came from our driver, Jeff, that had extracted us from a very difficult situation at another property. He gave us the keys to the kitchen, his personal residence on site etc....are you kidding me, Oh and he opened the "honor bar." I am a business owner, and I was floored by his generosity and Trust, truly a lesson for me at 51 years old. I will write so much more at a later date, but I am still trying to process all this. I am an ex Naval Officer, so I have some experience in dealing with stressful situations, but this guy is the best, and is Truly a Hero! So, on the Hotel, minus the damage, what a great location and view, and very nice rooms! Adam received several visits from local folks who were concerned about him and the Hotel, all of them very classy folks, and they all commented that it was their favorite restaurant on the Island. I am not shocked. I must end with saying that we were able to evacuate, with the help of an FBI contact on the island, but did so reluctantly. We came to find out later that Adam gave his personal boat to a group of travelers, including a family with three small children, to make their way to Puerto Rico, which they did successfully. Adam, thank you for getting me to 52, I am forever at your service. We will be back as soon as we can! Respectfully Tim Williams and Company Bravo

After flying in a day earlier than planned, we needed to book a last minute room for the night in St. Thomas. The Mafloie Hotel was able to meet our needs. We arrived late (around 10:30) with 2 tired moms and two 10 year old boys. Our room had a king bed and a pull out couch for the boys. It was cozy, but a super comfy bed and a great harbor view! Breakfast was included and the pool was perfect for a quick swim for the boys before we left that morning. We only had about 10 hours there. A heads up to Adam. I was unable to pick up my rental car at the airport until the next morning and was a bit nervous about driving on the left and navigating my self back the hillside hotel. Adam kindly hopped in to the taxi to escort me to the airport and ride with me back to the hotel! He gave me pointers and all the confidence I needed to drive everyone around the island comfortably. Thank you Adam! If you take a taxi from the airport to this hotel, bring cash. It's $8 a person, and $2 a bag. And this hotel wasn"t too far from the airport! I don"t know what the charges were for the hotels further out.

Stayed at Mafolie for an overnight after being in Tortola for several nights. It is set into the hills and has a beautiful setting overlooking the bay. Our room (108) you actually have to walk on the street to get to, that was our first negative. Then, what we had booked as a Jr. suite really was just a room with a couch in an odd place. Bathroom was one of the smallest I have ever had in a hotel and is in need of updating. Balcony was nice and overlooked the bay with table and chairs. Bed was not the most comfortable but in the end the service outshone everything else. Also, don't miss the restaurant, food and service there were very good.

I had lunch in this restaurant and the food was amazing. The views are stunning and the decoration is beautiful. One of the best places to visit in town. The service was good and the staff very friendly. I want to go back for sure! Did not stay in the hotel but it looks great.

I want to give this hotel five stars but I can't. Let's start with the positives: the views were beyond amazing, I mean simply breathtaking. Our breakfast server Ella was a gem!! She made our mornings, every morning. Don't ever let her go! The bed was big and comfy, the hotel had a island-y feel to it, we wouldn't get that at the bigger brand hotels. There were even a few animals on site. I love animals! The restaurant had pretty good food, loved the sweet potato crab cakes and the frozen drinks. There was a computer and printer to print boarding passes. The TV channels were GREAT. They had everything! There were only a few negatives but I must mention them to justify my rating. The WiFi was unstable and very unreliable at times. The computer downstairs is soooooooooo slowwwwwww, took me thirty minutes to get into my email account, get on the airline website and finally get the passes to print. The room was outdated and on the tiny side, and I wish the TV was a little bigger. The omelet lady was as rude as rude can get it. She was so unpleasant and mean to us for no reason. I really don't know what that was about but she needs a HUGE attitude adjustment and retraining ASAP.

Not only was the view amazing, the junior suite was ample in space! Comfortable bed (although could be a bit more plush), couch area (pull-out, too) with TV, sitting area inside and outside patio and a nice bathroom. The pool was lovely with amazing views. The restaurant and attached bar were a plus. Easy taxi ride to town and other areas around the island. Fully recommend. And a VERY generous breakfast is included - continental buffet with pancakes, french toast and eggs made free to order.

We chose Hotel Mafolie for our last evening in the USVIs. We couldn't be more delighted with our experience. It has the charm of a well-built, well-maintained inn with stone steps and lovely rooms. We found refreshing water with ice,lemon and orange slices at the reception desk. Just what we needed after the heat of the day. The room was beautifully appointed and overlooked the pool and Charlotte Amalie bay beyond. We didn't need to use the air conditioner because the breeze from the window cooled our room all night. We stopped at the restaurant late at night for dessert and a nightcap and had the pleasure of conversing with the hotel's friendly general manager, Adam Israel. The breakfast (included in the price of the room) was another highlight. We sat in the restaurant at a table overlooking the bay. Our waitress quickly came by with water and orange juice and invited us to the buffet. What a buffet! Made to order omelets, pancakes, bagels, and potatoes. The fruit salad was off-the-charts! Fresh pineapple, watermelon, cantaloupes and strawberries. Although we didn't use the pool, we did sit poolside and enjoyed the experience. If you ever get the chance to experience this lovely hotel...do it!

The hotel itself is outdated and could use work. Quite a few broken items in the room. But hard to complain when you are in St.Thomas and for the price of stay. Pool was great and had a good view of the harbor below. Drinks at the pool took a very long time to arrive as we had to call up to front desk to get them ordered. Bar staff and morning breakfast staff were not friendly at all, but our server at dinner was great. Would look to a different hotel next time staying in St. Thomas.
