The staff were very helpful. Room was always clean. It wasn't too far from the centre especially during the day. We walked everywhere. Breakfast had lactose free milk and gluten free cereal.which I didn't realise until the last morning.
We have just returned home from a 3 night stay at this hotel. I enjoyed the art exhibition around the ground floor. Room quite basic but clean comfortable with nice lamps and pictures. What stood out for us was how pleasant and helpful all of the staff were. The metro isn't particulary close by but it wasn't a problem for us as taxis are so reasonably priced and when booked via the hotel you are told the exact cost of your trip so there is no worry of being overcharged as a tourist. Would definately stay there again
They asked if we wanted to upgrade our room, it was not that expensive so we did and actually got a suite because they were out of junior suites. Good choice! Room was big and clean, the bed was so so comfy, slept so well. Sauna was great too. Breakfast was only good, not great. Not so many healthy choices.
5 night stay - staff welcoming and friendly , food excellent , bar lively , rooms spacious with comfortable beds . Extra treat when my travelling companion got huge piece of chocolate cake and card from staff for her birthday -left in the room as a surprise !! Great location !!
Mid prized, good price/quality ratio Hotel in Vasilienksy Island, abou 12 minj walk from closest Metro station, 20 min walk to Isac's chirch. Abundant breakfast buffet. Good choice when you pay with your own money.
The Sokos hotel at Vasilevsky Ostrov is very convenient for a business travel. Cosy rooms, clean, good wifi (yet non-secured), 24/7 gym is a good addition, and the breakfast is very extensive if one needs such.
I was there for business meetings short before Christmas 2017. It was a very friendly hotel with very good breakfast and with good dinner opportunity. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The price is really good for St. Petersburg. I will book the same hotel again next when in St. Petersburg.
Stayed at this hotel for business trip as it has convenient location. That was not first time for me there. As that was said in my previous feedback - good value for the price. It is not a fancy hotel but has everything needed: clean, OK breakfast, comfortable bed, big enough room etc.
I emphasize the sympathy of the majority of the staff, which contrasts with the dislike of Russian airports. On one of the days it was my wife’s anniversary, when we arrived at the end of the day there were balloons on the side of the bed where she slept. Someone came and delivered a bottle of champagne two flutes and on a plate that was served a small cake was written in Portuguese "Happy birthday" very kind and reveals a careful organization. In the dining area every day there was a paper with news from Portugal as well from other countries which is very affectionate towards guests. Quality breakfast the meals in the restaurant and snacks in the bar are acceptable. The location of the hotel is good.
Visited in Jan as part of 40th birthday trip. Hotel was lovely. Had a upgraded room which was huge. Nice heated floors in the bathrooms, tea and coffee facilities in the room. The restaurant was great and the food was simply stunning. The bar called the 8th line offers a great relaxing area with good beer selection, and great value bar meals. I work in hotels myself and I loved it here the staff are a real credit everyone was polite and friendly and more importantly spoke to you when you passed them in the corridors. Would recommend if visiting St Petersburg.
