We stayed here for three nights recently. The location is excellent and quiet. The personnel are very professional and our room was spacious, nice and clean. The gym was nice too and the sauna. I would stay here again.

Couldn’t have asked for more from Domina, staff are all excellent, great food from the restaurant and bar, rooms and all spaces clean and well presented. Most surprisingly they genuinely are child friendly, ensuring my 9 year old daughter was made to feel very welcome by everyone and provided with suitable sized slippers and gown, she loved it too!

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and it’s exactly as the title says. The location is pretty central and in walking distance of some of the major attractions. Rooms are comfortable and always clean. Beware however of the chocolate on the pillow we came back slightly tipsy after a night of Depeche Mode and drinking vodka as you do, and we neglected to remove the chocolate from our pillow. Oops sorry about the bed sheets Domina . Can’t recommend this hotel enough ( and the city in both winter and summer)

My husband and I came for 8 days to celebrate my birthday and our 4th anniversary. From the very beginning and till the departure we were surrounded by unbelievably warm atmosphere of Domina’s staff members. The room was amazing, even more beautiful than I expected. Housekeeping was always on time making our room fresh and stunning everyday. Front desk team was absolutely helpful (reception and concierge) I would like to mention Natalia and Daria for their help. We visited lots of great places for diner and were overwhelmed with then quality of food there and just the atmosphere (just as we wanted). Restaurant was lovely including good breakfast (not too many choices but that was more than enough for us). Everyone made our stay unforgettable! Moreover, what was extremely unexpected and at the same time touching my heart is a small gift for my birthday (a bottle of champagne and a cake) that was great!! Well, I can admit that this hotel worth visiting! Best hotel in Russia I have even been. Why the best? Because only here I had a feeling that I came to visit my good friends who always help and make my stay unforgettable.

Ok it will not win any prizes for best colour scheme and the 6th floor had a certain brothel charm (pink and crimson wall paper anyone?), but the location is excellent, the facilities good, the beds supercomfy and the staff outstanding.

Great hotel, fairly priced for a Central location. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly .All the main sights are within 15 minutes walk. Prior to our visit we contacted the hotel, and they supported our Visa application, which helped us through that awkward process. A perfect base to see this extraordinary City.

The high's: -Really friendly and helpful concierge - it's always nice to be greeted by friendly faces! -Reception staff were all great -Nice bar / coffee shop as part of the hotel -Really comfortable beds, housekeeping looked after the rooms wonderfully -Good little gym -Location - it's walking distance to everywhere but also far away enough so that you feel like you're not in the middle of a tourist bubble -It feels like a safe area My only negative was the heat of the rooms. This sounds really minor doesn't it? But it was October, it was freezing outside and my room was boiling inside. We had the windows open but couldn't generate enough cool air because we had an inner courtyard room. The window stayed open throughout and I wore as little clothes as possible in the room - it was that hot! The individual temperature controls didn't effect it, we spoke to reception who advised us to turn off the air con system and keep the window open. Still too hot!

We stayed in this hotel in September, 2017. Room is clean and comfortable. Breakfast offers various dishes. Price was lower compared to other 5 star hotels. Definitely recommend this hotel for travelers.

My wife and I have just come back from a four night stay at the domina over new year.First impressions were great with the hotel on a very quiet street overlooking the canal. The reception staff were very polite and very helpful, in fact this can be said by everybody in the hotel from the bell boy to the resteraunt, and everyone spoke some English in fact we found this everywhere we went from museums to supermarkets. Our room was a superior room which was very well appointed with lots of storage space, the bed was one of the most comfortable we have had, the bathroom was fantastic with under floor heating which was very welcome. The resteraunt and bar area were also very good and the whole hotel was kept immaculately clean. Yes the hotel is colourful but that is what makes it . We found the best thing about the hotel was it's location, you go out the door down the road your at St Issaca cathedral, down another your at the Hermitage and on nevisky prospekt , over the whole trip we walked everywhere only time we used transport was the city tour bus. To sum up hotel fantastic and St petersburg an amazing place to visit it didn't disappoint. One footnote if your travelling from the UK sort your visa early the form is very long winded and they want to know everything you also have to go in person to one of three centres to hand in your application form, passport and have your fingerprints taken, but definitely worth the trouble

Stayed here for a week on my second visit to St Petersburg. Really lovely, generously sized room with a fantastic bathroom. Few fairly minor quibbles: - we had a twin room and the beds are pushed together. I don’t want to feel like I’m sleeping with my friend thanks - plenty of room to move the beds apart but it’s a bit awkward. - the bedside lamps are on the same switch so if one person has theirs on or off so does he other. - can’t control the central heating. We had a blue themed room which was quite soothing (unlike the garish colours on the website). The reception area actually lets the hotel down in my opinion as the rooms are much more sophisticated than this area implies. Staff were mostly lovey - shout out to the concierge who spent ages with us and answering seemingly simple questions like how to make the bus. One thing to note is the restaurant and bar area can be booked out for private functions and closed to hotel guests. Quite annoying really as this is one of the services you are essentially paying for as a guest of this hotel. Perhaps I wouldn’t have been annoyed had advance notice been given in a place where guests will notice ie the lifts. Breakfast was good though staff didn’t explain that the cost (1400 rubles in December 2017) also allowed for items to be ordered from the menu until breakfast was finished. Good room service and nice range in the mini bar. Location also good but I will admit using Uber a lot as some destinations were a hike in the cold - and Uber is so cheap in Russia. I would recommend this hotel to friends.
