The reviews are as stated by others. The resort needs updating badly. The rooms are in disrepair and need some serious maintenance. The parking lot has potholes so be careful if it is raining. The rooms are small and worn through floor surfaces are unpleasant looking but clean. On our stay we had at least 3 roomates of the insect kind, huge palmetto roaches scurried and t met their end gross. The bed linens and mattress had seen better days but clean. But one must keep in mind this is a $100 dollar a night gay resort not the Ritz Carlton. Rooms are cleaned every 3rd day of your stay and extra towels are extra. The crowd on Saturdays are mature, jovial and not the gay trendsetters you would imagine. Sunday T-Dance brings a few hipster gym boys but they are daytrippers there for the cheap drinks and food. The drag show was enthisiastic and the performers friendly. The music was live Friday afternoon and the band was supported by a talented female front singer who was quite good. A mixed crowd of diverse sexual identities are welcome here. Then there is the staff, the Flamingo's shining beacon of hope. They are all amazing, accomodating and sincere. The front desk was attended by professional competent staff. The bars have a diverse group of waiters all are attentive and very pleasant. There is no room service unless you can find a waiter willing to deliver to your room but that is a lame request here so we passed. Everyone working here knows the resorts limits and tries hard.

This hotel is definitely not a posh resort experience. It is a complex of multiple bars, a functional eatery, some interesting gay themed stores and guest rooms all surrounding a large pool. The beauty of the place is you can go there for a night or weekend, check in, freely cocktail while enjoying the pool or the many varied nighttime activities and not have to worry about driving hone. It’s actually a nice break from daily life to go there party all night then wake up and spend a sunny day by the pool.

This property has gone downhill so much. They will check in guests to rooms that are under renovation (that's a joke), there is no housekeeping service given, management doesn't care, wifi is spotty and slow and room keys don't work. The bars and bar staff are good. At least the bartenders are friendly and efficient. But that can't make up for all the other negatives. I was a repeat visitor, but can honestly say....never again. If all you want to do is party, get hammered and not have to drive, then it's an overpriced place to pass out in.

Horrible from beginning to end. Filthy room. Smelly.

Samantha and staff were friendly at checkin. The carpet in room was downright disgusting; my feet turned black from walking on it so I kept shoes on. However, bed was clean and comfortable, a/c worked, and plenty hot water. Room was made up everyday except one, bed made, fresh towels (except no bath mat except first day). Carpet was clearly never vacuumed and I noticed cleaning cart did not have vacuum cleaner ever. Pool area was very nice. Larry at cabana bar was friendly. This place has potential to be fun place. I wanted to patronize a gay establishment and didn't expect anything fancy, but the carpet totally grossed me out.

wonderful cozy and classy I would go there again and again 4 cozy and classy

OK place. Very clean but Lamp, clock and one light in bath did not work. No garbage can. A supply of Condoms and lube on counter in room was an eye opener. Men walking the hotel in speedo's at all hours. Definitely catered to a LGBT crowd. Very loud music around pool until 10 at night but bar music starts at 10 at it too is very loud. Total party scene. Family questionable. You should find a way of alerting people making a reservation just in case they are not comfortable with this environment. We picked a 3 star hotel to use while we we at a hospice visiting a sick friend. That turned into paying our respects on her passing. A bad combination. I think knowing this would be better for all parties. They were very nice at the desk but could not help us with a refund because we had payed through You so we stuck it out.

Stayed one night on our road trip to Tampa. We did the Sunday night when they have a big tea dance party in the pool area. It's loud with a lot of people. If you want any quiet, get a room in the back as the music can play until 2am on Sundays. Room was basic; the hotel really needs to do a gut renovation.

I knew this was a gay establishment so I figured it would be nice but that was not the case. I paid $130 for a room but it should have been $20. You would be better off sleeping in your car. The carpet, bathroom, and everything else was soo nasty. This had been a smoking room even though smoking was not aloud don't waste your money staying there.

Experience was good, the only draw back to staying here is their earlier than normal check out time which is at 10:00am.

A friend and I attended a wedding in the area during spring break and every place with decent rates was booked. The only place was the gay-themed Flamingo. Aside from the pamphlets and condom jar at the front desk, it seemed like a regular hotel. The bed was comfortable and though there was audible music in the bars below the room, I wasn't bothered and slept well. Its not luxurious but there was also wi fi and cable.

The bars were great, met some great people, made some friends. Really enjoyed the entertainment too! The room however,,, not so good. I would give it a 2 at best! The carpet was filthy!!! The bathroom was [*]. The toilet was clean but the shower, I was tempted to go buy the stuff and clean it myself. The towels were grey and warn out as well. I would go back for the bars and the entertainment , but Im not likely to stay there again unless there are some improvements in the rooms.

I was looking for a downtown St. Petersburg Florida location with a king bed. I saw spots on the site but none had a king bed. An advisor im'd and asked for my parameters which I gave and he came back with a suggestion that I booked. As I was looking at an Indigo and a Hapmton Inn, which I'm sure the advisor could see, my wife and I were stunned when we arrived at the location. It was not downtown (over 4 miles away), there were condoms on the lobby counter in a glass cookie jar and information about AIDS as well as more condoms in the room (which I decided to at least look at). The hotel caters to gay men. We could not comfortabley stay and didn't.

Very comfortable hotel with many ammenities. They had something social planned for every evening. Sunday afternoon tea dance was very well attended.
