Great hotel close to the PIE airport! Super convenient off the interstate. Bed was fine, just wish bathroom was a little more up-to-date. Generally speaking room was clean, just needs some updates :) We would stay here again.

As usual with all the La Quinta hotels we have stayed in across the country the staff from all departments were very courteous and helpful and friendly. Some of the hotels could use a little upgrading but the overall experience is always wonderful and we try to stay in a La Quinta wherever we can. We need some more in Canada, Toronto..Hamilton..Burlington..Woodstock..Guelph or anywhere in Southern Ontario which gives easy access to the border.

This hotel experienced a significant water leak from their sprinkler system (burst pipes I believe) that occurred on May 26th, 2017. This caused serious water damage from third floor all the way down to the lobby and resulted in closing of several rooms. The lobby was flooded, the breakfast room closed, the carpets and walls soaked with water. On May 27th, 2017, the hotel absolutely stunk like mildew. The breakfast was relocated to a "meeting room". With the modified breakfast there was no juice machine and no refrigeration of any milks or juices which sat out for hours in pitchers. On May 28th, the breakfast became a further disappointment when it seems that their ordering of breakfast items had stopped. There was no more oatmeal and cereals ran low. They relocated two waffle makers which blew a fuse and were not repaired. The hard boiled eggs were runny in the inside. They ran out of yogurt. On May 29th, we witnessed a young girl attempt to make a bowl of cereal with the milk in the pitcher. She took one bite of it and threw it away suggesting the milk had spoiled. The staff did not replenish cereals, fix the waffle makers, replenish oatmeal or yogurt. They also had run out of whole fruit. There was no effort for apologies or compensation for anything. The stench from water damage grew worse every day. STAY AWAY!!!!!

We were transferred here last minute from another La Quinta, which was chosen for its location close to the St. Petersburg airport. This La Quinta did not have a shuttle and we ended up paying $30 for a taxi. Quite disappointing.

If you want to get kicked out of a hotel for expressing your discontent with the mildew funk of their run down rooms and be treated like a complete burden to the entire staff then this is the hotel for you! The General Manager is as evil and shrewd as they come, steer clear of this nightmare.

Room was clean and spacious. However, kind of noisy.

Front desk staff were attentive the room was clean and neat. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at they hotel. I have no complaints

I went in the pool in the late afternoon, the manager then ran out and asked me to get out of it. There had been "an accident". I went to my room and immediately took a soap shower. Another person at the pool said this accident happened a while ago Why was it not immediately roped off or sign posted - not happy. The next day there was a small paper sign on the door to the pool saying closed but I think a yellow tape or sign at the stairs of the pool should have been put up for the mishap as well in case you went to the hot tub or didn't see the small door sign - management: this is unacceptable. I know a guest with a child allowed this to happen and there is not a lot the hotel can do BUT I think the health department would require more complete immediate action by staff. Breakfast didn't offer much - strictly continental with messy waffle maker. It used to be better. Overall the hotel just didn't seem fresh - needs paint and some updates inside. I have stayed here before but for these reasons I can not recommend it, will try another similar hotel nearby next time.

my husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon I had previously stayed here two other times the hotel location is wonderful to get anywhere in the short amount of time I was not a fan of the fact that the housekeeping came so early based on the fact that we were the first floor and the pool area always seem to be very dirty which is unusual as it has always been kept clean in the past.....they also have a lot of dogs to begin to stay there which usually was not a trouble except for at night time when we were trying to go to bed there was a dog barking because their owner must have not been in the room

clean place, awesome breakfast, construction time sucked, forget about sleeping in with that noise. Front desk was helpful and gave great info when needed.

This hotel charged us $100.00 for amenities.. they didnt even tell us.. I didnt realize it until after we checked in and I checked our bank account.. They refused to do anything bout it.. most hotels will charge 20 at the most.. $100.00 is ridiculous..

This was convenient for me and my mom. Quick trip, we got in late, the room was comfortable. Would definitely stay here again in a pinch.

We stayed in Room 130 at this La Quinta. The staff was ultra-friendly and nice however, our room smelled terrible. It was a harsh chemical smell that was difficult to tolerate. I did inform management upon our checking out. I sure hope they do something about it before the next person stays in the room.

Needs work on their Internet connection but hotel staff was friendly and helpful

This hotel was offering reduced rates because of construction on Ulmerton. It is a very nice hotel.

la quinta experience.

As usual with all the La Quinta hotels we have stayed in across the country the staff from all departments were very courteous and helpful and friendly. Some of the hotels could use a little upgrading but the overall experience is always wonderful and we try to stay in a La Quinta wherever we can. serious facility water leak and damage. stay away!

The majority of the issues that were a result of the pipe breaking have been contained and the water damaged materials are being removed. If you want to get kicked out of a hotel for expressing your discontent with the mildew funk of their run down rooms and be treated like a complete burden to the entire staff then this is the hotel for you! The General Manager is as evil and shrewd as they come, steer clear of this nightmare.
