The location is stunning - it is literally across the street from the entrance to the Vatican Museum. If you like to walk, this is walkable to all main historic attractions in Rome. Public transport is nearby. It was very clean and the room was relatively well setup. Hotel staff felt a little fatiqued, most rimes the service felt to be bare minimum, not on par with the location and the overall wibe they are trying to project. The main issue though is that it is sitting on a very lively street, the traffic never stops and there are a lot of scooters and motorcycles. Existing noise insulation barely scratches the surface of what's needed for a peacefull rest. I will look for an alternative location for my next stay in Rome.

We scheduled the “waking up the Vatican tour” for 6 a m on the morning after our early evening arrival from the U.S. Having had no time to explore, I figured we’d schedule a cab to take us the doors of the Vatican museum. I was pleasantly surprised that our tour began just across the street. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and also well educated. The following day we walked to St. Peter’s for the Angelus and Papal blessing. We were able to walk to some excellent restaurants for dinner each night. The hotel was the perfect location for visiting the Vatican. Beds were extremely comfortable. Bathroom was impeccably clean. Staff, again, was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. What more could you ask? Oh, their breakfast buffet was outstanding! Pretty much perfect. I’d definitely choose them again!
We had only 2 days in Rome on layover. This was very much as advertised: Clean, excellent place to stay, accommodating and polite staff, and extremely convenient to the Vatican. The tour groups all line up on a very wide staircase just 2 doors down from the hotel doorway. This was excellent, as it made the whole “wait, no lines” business for the Vatican Tours actually completely true. (Tours were true! Avoided lines, no wait time, great tour guide!). The ability to walk up and pretty much be there took a lot of stress out the tightly, early scheduled morning.
