Location is perfect for us to visit friends in St. Paul.

Very clean and comfortable hotel room, great staff, love the historical feel to the hotel. Very cool setup to lobby, lounge and breakfast also a great bonus!!

Would not stay here again. The staff was nice but the rooms were kinda grosa and smelled like mold!

Overall positive, only complaint was that the room smelled like it was smoked in quite a bit throughout the years.

Room was beautiful and very comfortable. Breakfast offered many choices. Enjoyed the jacuzzi immensely

The hotel has nice open feel where the breakfast area and pool are. The breakfast was good and well replenished the entire time. Recommend to make your own yogurt parfait. Needs a wheelchair ramp from side parking lot to hotel. Rooms are large but bathrooms are small. Had room near pool and outer door for easy access, but well sound proofed. Bit pricey for hotel but not many others in same location. Overall, had a good experience.

Very reasonably priced with a good free breakfast In a extremely quiet location. I would definitely recommend.

I was able to find a quiet place to rest in St. Paul as I was visiting my very busy family at the Best Western. Nice room, great tv, HBO, nice breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. Always smiling and greeting me each day. I did not make use of the pool, but it looked inviting.

We were here to attend the MN State Track meet. The hotel met our needs as well as the needs of our student athletes.

We enjoyed the hotel as it is historical and very unique. One member in our party used the hot tub twice during our short stay and enjoyed it. Our only complaint would be the lack of lighting in our room.

it was comfortable-out of the mainstream but easy access to malls-to the Zoo-to the State Fair grounds-to U of M conference center

Stayed here for convenient access to the Como Zoo. The uniqueness of a hotel in an old train repair station was a draw but we were blown away with how well done the building was. While the rooms were nothing to rave about they were your standard hotel fare however, slightly above average. All the amenities you would want or need.

I stayed at this hotel this past weekend and I wished my conference went longer so I could've enjoyed my stay longer. Great comfortable beds, clean and elegant setup and friendly staff. I will be staying there again when I'm in town.

Everything was great. We are on the main floor with a patio door to the pool and breakfast area. This made the stay a little noisy during the day, but quiet at night. Would definitely stay again.

Stuffy, no fan, no exterior windows, no temperature control. Had to leave noisey bathroom fan on all night. Breakfast was 'uninspired' at best.

The hotel is a maze inside. To find your room is terrible as the signs are not clear and the staff not very helpful. Too expensive for what really is....will not return.

Stayed here while taking my daughter to see schools in St. Paul. Out of the way location but quiet and comfortable.

This hotel was average accommodations for the price. The bathroom was very small. I realize we did not request a ADA room but I was surprised by the small size. Good TV and continental breakfast.

I returned to my room to find that it had been serviced so well that all of my personal items and food from the refrigerator were gone. When I went to the front desk I was told the manager was not there and that they could not do anything until he got there the next morning. I called the manager, Troy Angerhofer, and he set up a meeting time with me at 6:45 the next morning. When he finally arrived at 8:00 the next morning he told me there was nothing he could do and openly said that he did not believe my claims of my items being stolen from my room. He offered me candy as a compensation to the items taken from my room. I will not be going back to this Hotel nor will I ever recommend it to anyone.

bar could have stayed open later than 9 but, other than that it was a nice hotel.
