Wonderful hotel!
I loved that the had an interesting past and learned about it. Very cool that the hotel restored to original when updates were made over the years. Free continental breakfast was very nice and completely adequate.
The time era it represented and super cozy rooms.
Small, quaint hotel with old-fashioned iron beds, wood floors and a balcony to watch the sunrise. This is not a big box hotel. It’s small and charming and also has a bar with a kitchen. I’d recommend it and stay here again.

For a building from around 1906, it was in great shape. We had a great stay. Clean room. Wonderful veranda. Standard Continental breakfast.

The hotel is on the waterfront and has a great front porch with rocking chairs. But the room rehab was not finished--pliers to turn the shower on, no baseboard so you could see the end of the floorboards and a gap at the wall, no cover on the electric socket, gap to the outside next to the air conditioner, which was placed at floor level. The AC never really got the room cool. I wondered if maybe under the bed was cool since the AC was down low at the floor. Room had a dark, patterned bedspread which never makes me feel comfortable in a hotel--like it is meant to conceal much dirt. Door to room locked with the door knob but there was no extra lock--no bolt or chain to place when you were inside.
