We think that the resort is well located, well-maintained, and is generally a great place to stay.

Great location, close to beach, restaurants, casinos, shopping, grocery stores..would highly recommend. Plan on returning again next year.

Generally worth the cost, the staff were very helpful. The two regular sized bed instead of a queen or king was not comfortable for a couple. The room and environment was clean. Grocery and good restaurants very close.

It was nice place with access to the beach, the room was well equipped and overall it was confortible. The view of the bay from the room it's amazing. The beach was pretty, the water clean and it was possible to have a nice swim. Hotel stuff at the beach always supporting providing chairs. 2 bars around with happy hour at certain hours. We did not try the food at the hotel but the restaurant at the ground floor was in front of the beach, it has a great decorarion and ambience always looks good. There is available parking at no cost but late at night was difficult to find available space close to the room. Internet works good good.

Friendly and courteous staff throughout the whole resort. One week stay was not enough !!!

Great!!hope to return!! So much to do!! Beach bars all over!!

This hotel is smack in the center of Simpson Bay and is walking distance to so many restaurants, beaches and other convenient places. Very good place to stay if you are in St. Maarten! The rooms have an amazing terrace with an ocean view...excellent views all day long!

It's certainly one of the best on the island. They're working to improve much of it. Great move on their part by adding ovens. This is our second trip, and stayed at this resort twice. It's proximal to restaurants, and other beaches. Definitely rent a car for this island. So many great beaches and almost always free parking. The resort's beach is quite awful, the worst sand of the 37 beaches.

Loved the facility and the staff. Great Location!!! When finished with the renovations on the other units and facilities it will really be first class.

I really enjoyed my stay st Simpson Bay. The hotel is close to numerous restaurants, bars and key points in the island. The only draw back I found was this time share thing. Hotel has individuals purportedly assigned to you but their goal is really to get you to sit for 90 minutes to listen to a talk about time shares. Once our person realized we were not interested, his attitude changed with us and was not very helpful. I'm sorry but I'm on vacation and don't have 90 minutes to listen to a presentation. Also, car rentals on hotel premises are a lot higher than off the premises. There are a few car rental places near the hotel i.e. Payless within a mile or so from hotel with excellent prices and they do pick up and drop off.

Stay was ok. This is a three and a half star hotel. Good value for your money. Concierge Gabriel was very helpful. Ryan at the car rental was wonderful. He provided us with directions that put us on the right track to our desired destination. The demographic are mostly retirees. If you are looking for nightlife this may not be the suitable for you but if you are looking to just relax this hotel will meet your needs.

We stayed at the Simpson Bay Resort on our last night of our trip. It was a perfect location for our last night. Clean, convenient, and close to great restaurants.

First impression WOW the lobby is gorgeous and spot less. Check in everyone was so friendly and helpful. Our concierge Errol so accommodating. Well kept hotel inside and out. Can't wait to go back. looking forward to the upcoming planned upgrade changes.

My first impression of this hotel was over the top, it was beautiful, a tropical ambiance like no other. Upon check in my self and 10 other friends (2 were already on site) were told of a $250.00 deposit that we were not aware of in addition to no explanation being given to us by the staff at the front desk. Secondly, when my friend and I arrived at our room, it was just being cleaned, initially we thought that it was okay, but were rudely dismissed by the cleaner when she said just put your bags anywhere. As mentioned before the ambiance was remarkably satisfying, but I would not recommend this facility to anyone. To make our stay worse, money was stolen from 2 of the 6 occupied rooms containing myself and 12 of my friends. Once reported to the front desk, they were given the run around, tale end of the story is the general manager stepped in (offered minimal help) and of course the police got involved. Some funds, not all were reimbursed, but we all thought it was a horrible experience. Love the island, hated the hotel. P.S. - the female bartender was the most pleasant individual that serviced us during our stay!

Was ok the people not that bad but is not a 5 star hotel like the said is more like 3 1/2 star hotel

Frequent business traveler who usually travels alone or with colleagues, this time I got a week plus with wife and three boys 10, 8 and 2 years old. The complex has a wide variety of complexes in various states of disrepair, but the Villas at Simpson Bay was far and away the best. Newer, well maintained and staffed, and beautiful views from every room of marina, bay, pool and sea. We stayed on the 3rd floor which was convenient access to the parking lot without being ground level, and had the 2BR double unit which was super spacious. Rooms were cleaned daily, balconies were awesome. Price was reasonable.

Friendly staff. Great view Accommodations outstanding. I would recommend this hotel.

Hotel was amazing. Room was amazing. Staff was very friendly. Would definitely return.

Ok because the floor was not mop single time otherwise was ok. The beach umbrellas had no palm leaves on it so no shades they moved us from one room to other for one last night without telling in check in process. Just came at 11 am to the room the same day - no time to pack !!! Waisted my time but we booked the room in April 2014 for December

This is a lovely and convenient spot to enjoy the island. Room was large, everything seemed new (fantastic thick towels!) and there was a pool with a bar steps away from our room. We were seconds not only from the pool but the sea, in a protected area with no waves. We needed a couple of nights to add to our timeshare, and this was just right. Wireless was included in the price but the fitness room had a daily fee. We had a small fridge and microwave but no burners or oven. Price was very reasonable.
