My fiancé and I stayed here for our honeymoon from June 19-26th. We were in the Standard Junior Suite on the top level. Although there was construction going on, it did now affect our stay. The beach was literally steps from Orient Beach (which was absolutely beautiful). Also, steps from the hotel were a grocery store and multiple restaurants (yellow sub became our favorite). The staff was also very nice and welcoming. Overall, we would absolutely stay again.

Kelly was welcoming and helpful right from the outset. Took us to our room. Wow. The room was a newly renovated king room. Very spacious, clean and comfortable. Loved it. Wifi, cable, everything was great. Only issue whatsoever was a lack of hot water once in the late afternoon. We figured everyone was probably showering at the same time. Not a big deal. Loved the breakfast on the beach. And the beach itself. One hint -- if it's windy on the beach go to Pinel Island, a 7 min drive and $12 round trip boat ride. Awesome vibe, cool beach bar with terrific pina coladas. :) Plus a gorgeous quiet beach on the other side...a 5-7 min hike with great views. Plus a snorkeling trail. We swam with a huge turtle.

In need of major refreshing. Recessed lighting not all working so the room can be darkish Pillows like solid rubber. I asked for extra towels that I am still waiting for Television service spotty Stingy on beach towels, bring an extra of your own. Felt very secure and safe.

Had a great time here and was made to feel even better knowing how they went out of their way finding accommodations for us given the fact we booked this place but somehow Orbitz never sent them our confirmation information. This was Valentine week, during the busiest months of the year. Please confirm with your hotel PRIOR to leaving your home. This happened to the car rental too.

Close to everything, including: Orient Beach, restaurants, supermarket, watersports,

Hotel is wonderful for 3 star hotel - great location, very nice continental breakfast in La Playa restaurant on the beach. Room close to the beach. The only thing : they change the hotel name. When i arrived the owner's wife was talking with client and was rude to the big transfer taxi driver who brought me, when we asked her if we are in the right place. I was so upset that forgot on the hotel desk my expensive Helen Kaminski straw hat . Things like this happened : but hotel is great - just keep your things with you and don't forget them during check in/out , if the welcome is not very nice. The hat was stolen by someone and one guest saw it on me at front desk- but staff was not nice and only tryed to convince me that i arrived without hat, instead of express sympathy- what was very unpleasant.

We really liked the place. The location is great, rooms are clean, staff was very accommodating.

We had an extraordinary escapade. The Hotel was very nice. Breakfast in the beach fantastic. The beach is topless so you have great views besides the sunset. Overall we had a great time. Will repeat next year.

The expierence was really good. We arrive very late at night and they let us a message at the front desk of what we have to do and my room keys in order to get to my room and do the check in the next morning! This hotel is right in orient beach and that's what we were looking for.

While the hotel is in an ideal location and steps from the beach, it is quite run down. The staff at the desk is very nice but when there are issues, there is nothing they can do. When asked about not having a phone in the room, they looked surprised and promised to fix it only to be told the next day the phones don't work and won't be replaced until renovation. No hot water, bathroom rundown and rusty. Internet barely if ever works. The continental breakfast is ideal and on the beach. There are better properties to choose from for the same money that are in good shape. This one is not.

Hotel is right on the nicest beach in the area. Good food available nearby, pleasant staff. Rooms do not actually have ocean view but very nice nonetheless

The hotel was a little hard to find. The staff was friendly. The room was clean. The bathroom was very nice. Mattress was very old. The location was great for the day but nothing to do at night.

This hotel is in a perfect location, just one block from the most beautiful beach in St. Martin (Orient Beach). It is a small facility therefore more intimate. They serve a good continental breakfast in front of the beach, with a great panoramic view. We enjoyed swimming and shopping in nearby stores.

Location is the best in St. Martin. Orient beach is the best beach.

It was perfect for us. Right on the beach, close to some excellent restaurants, and easy to drive to island cities and points of interest. The staff was wonderful--friendly, very helpful, and efficient. A beautiful place to which I'd love to return.

L'Hoste is a no frills comfortable hotel with a good location and close to beach and great service. Very happy with the rooms and service. If you are expecting a fancy upscale hotel L'Hoste is not for you. Katy & Kelly and the team are all very welcoming and go out of their way to make sure your stay is great one.

We stopped counting how many times we stayed at this hotel. It meets all our needs. Few steps from the beautiful beach, and you can have your refreshments and lunch right there at La Playa restaurant. All you need(shopping, best cuisine, live music) is right there, a walking distance away.

Just finished a great week at L'Hoste and had a wonderful time. Second time we have stayed there. Great having croissants at breakfast with the perfect view of Orient Beach. Staff is very friendly and helpful....always responsive..... would highly recommend this hotel and location. Easy walk to restaurants and beach bars !!!

I first stayed at l'Hoste 16 years ago when it was nearly new. It is not nearly so nice as then as maintenance and repairs have not kept pace with the ravages of being so close to the Caribbean. If you want a luxury hotel to spend lots of time in the room, I'd suggest elsewhere but if you want a comfortable place to stay while spending time on one of the most beautiful and famous beaches in the world, l'Hoste could be perfect. The staff is friendly and the room was clean and neat. Our issues were with lights that didn't work, decaying wood , and doors which wouldn't close easily. The economy of St Martin has suffered under the E.U. and it shows up in abandoned houses and bad roads and overall the feeling that things are not as good as they had been in the past. I would recommend Hotel l'Hoste to anyone wanting an economical place to stay on an incredible stretch of beach but not to those who demand ultra posh surroundings in a hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back! Our experience was a great one and just what we were looking for! Nothing fancy, but exactly what we needed for a relaxing time away:)
