Holland House Beach Hotel

Second time staying here. Friendly staff and good food. Location is awesome with lots to do in the surrounding area. Parking is the only downfall as there is none.

We had an amazing oceanfront room right on the first floor with a huge balcony overlooking the dining room and sitting area. Definitely worth splurging on the oceanfront. Staff is excellent! Especially Jeffrey!!! You don't even need to leave the hotel, but if you do. Everything is just footsteps away! Plenty of luxurious shopping drinks and food! Philipsburg is quiet at night but only a 20 cab ride to nightlife in Simpson Bay! Stay here!

Staff was lovely. A few sour apples, but even then, nothing to spoil the lovely experience. The staff was very friendly and really helpful. The hotel restaurant was great. The reservation manager went out of her way to be helpful.

Beach was ok except for elderly people to enter and exit water due to accumulation of sand. The Hotel is very strict on check-out time. It is 11am and not maybe 15 minutes later. But check-in time at 3pm only. Thought I paid for 24hours per room. Other than that all is really excellent. The most friendly and helpful staff, food very good and drink selection also good. We-3 persons -had a blast.

HOTEL IS RIGHT ON THE BEACH AND IN THE CENTER OF PHILIPSBURG. NEAR MANY CASINOS, RESTAURANTS AND SHOPS. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION IS ON BACK STREET THAT WILL TAKE YOU TO SIMPSON BAY AND OTHER PARTS OF ST.MAARTEN

The hotel itself is in an ideal location, literally steps away from the beach. The staff is pleasant overall. The inclusive breakfast menu is limited. There should be more offerings. There was an exhaustive amount of flies during our meals but I guess there's no way to avoid them...perhaps a screened area would be helpful. The room needed updating. There were mice droppings(??) in the corner of the room though I did not actually see any rodents. This was definitely disappointing. I would still recommend the hotel. It was in the heart of Philipsburg and accessible to all areas of the island. I stayed in room 407 and the view was beautiful.

Stay was great. Food was wonderful. Room was neat but the cleaning staffs were unfriendly. Others staffs/services from the front desk and restaurants were helpful and friendly. Even though we enjoyed our stay we will try another hotel next time to compare the services.

I anticipated that Holland House would be good but it was even better than that. The complimentary breakfast even included items made to order, e.g. pancakes, omelets. The room had a great shower but the HBO was somewhat problematic. I was pleased that the room came w/ both a fridge and a safe for valuables. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay.

This hotel is in a great spot on the beach, and the don't squeeze you for any extras. Beach towels, chairs and umbrellas all included. Parking very convenient. Drinks reasonably priced and staff very open and accommodating.

We had never been to St. Maarten before, but saw that many patrons had really enjoyed the Holland House. After spending six days here, I can wholeheartedly agree that it was well worth the stay! The water-viewing balcony room we stayed in had a very comfortable bed, large walk-in shower, and was well cleaned every day. The breakfast buffet was a great way to start the day and charge the calorie batteries before a day of exploring beaches and sightseeing. The outdoor lounge area on the lobby floor looks out over the Great Bay and is steps from the beach- a perfect place to sit and chat, have drinks, read, or just look out over the pristine water. I would stay here again without hesitation!

The overall experience was very positive. The hotel and lounge were very modern - located in the middle of the Phillipsburg boardwalk and steps away from the beach. The rooms were very clean and serviced daily. The best part of our stay was the hotel restaurant and bar. The food was amazing and the staff was great (especially Tory and Shaneika!).

The Hotel is excellent, the service, the food the experience was fabulous. I love very much!! I want to come back in a future. We celebrate the birthday of my husband and our 5th anniversary of relation. Thanks to all!! See you soon!!

The location was excellent - for distance to cruise wharf and downtown Philipsburg for shopping. The hotel itself was lovely - airy and had covered outside restaurant that was romantic and charming. Food was very good. The rooms were comfortable and the bed was one of the best we've ever had. Would definitely stay here again if ever back in St. Maarten and would recommend it to all

This hotel was by far the best on this beach. We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

We had a beautiful beach view. It was busy during the day when the cruise ships came in, but quite at night. My wife loves to shop and people watch so it was a great area for us. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The place is ok, at night I was Very Leary of walking as there are no lights no stores open and shady people walking..I never even stayed at their beach as I went else well, lots of mosquitos in hallway and elevator. But to their credit, their is no real 5 star Hotels in St Martin.

I can not believe the great experience we had at Holland House. Kudos to the staff for making it a pleasure. Kizzi at the front desk was wonderful. I stubbed my toe and she was up in my room cleaning and bandaging it immediately. Everyday she would call the room and have me come down and clean it. She brought in a nail tech to repair it before we left. I have never had such an experience.

It was very nice. All employees were very polite and helpful. Steps away from the beach. Drink deliveries on the beach were quick.

Got a cab at airport, driver frustrated that we were going to what he called 'crowded and blocked off area due to all of the cruise ships in harbor" He said he might have to drop us off near by. Finally got to hotel, and found THEY HAD NO RECORD OF OUR RESERVATION. They were very unsympathetic, having us wait for about 1 hour before they decided to let us stay anyway. Next two days we were asked when we were leaving. Hotel restaurant staff reluctant to let us charge to room and house service confused saying we were suppose to be checked out. Restaurant service was painfully slow. Beach was nice

We had a nice stay at the hotel, and we stayed in one of the suites. The only reason we got this room however was because we were first told the hotel was overbooked and they had to place us in a street view room, which was not one of the updated rooms. The first room was not what we paid for and initially they were not going to do anything about it. The next morning another staff member was very accommodating and apologetic and upgraded our room and gave us a bottle of wine. Had we not stayed in that suite, our review would have probably been lower. Overall the staff was nice, location was good to be near the shops and boardwalk, and the room was comfortable and clean.
