Everything was ok to short staying..( except having cockroaches..) close to the beaches, big space in hotel and French bakery right entrance there..

Shower was broke had to fix with a hair tie. They Clean the room every 72 hours. Some room where updated not room 920. Had to drive to the beach it was unusable outside the hotal. Pool was clean and nice

Need a car to get around (almost a must), nearby restaurants (one on site) pricy, but not extremely, also a pricy deli nearby (within walking distance). Free internet in the hotel "lobby", two outdoor pools, long, nice and quiet beachfront, fully equipped kitchen, fridge, stove, electric oven (no micro). Nice room, nice terrace. Decently priced. 15 minutes (by car) from Princess Juliana Airport. Rooms cleaned every third day. Quiet, relaxation oriented atmosphere.

the room cleaning and towel change occures only after 4 days stay. the room was not even clean whem we arrived. the whole place is run down and needs major improment. do not stay there!!!!

We recently went in May, from what it appeared to be as "out of season" as the rest of the island. These are condo's generally when in season from what I got the feel for. There was no working cable in our room, and the A/C was on and off on its performance, cleaning was available for a price. But it was in a great location if you want to stay in the French part of St. Martin. Beautiful scenery and helpful staff, and alot of activities right there at the hotel. I would go back but preferably when it is in season to be in St Martin.

The hotel is located about 5 minutes away from Marigot, so the location is good. It's quiet and clean, and the rooms are large, with nice balconies. The staff is very helpful.

While the hotel is on a very nice beach, is in a pleasant and quiet area and is convenient to the airport, everything was a bit rundown. The property needs a fair amount of maintenance. The staff, however, was very friendly and competent. The restaurant was ok and fairly reasonable; the bar was better.

Verry friendly people, however room smelled like it had not been opened in months. Hotel needs major renovation.... More of a Motel than a Hotel.

Everything was great. The reception was very efficient and informative. Breakfast and amenities as good as we could have wanted. Room was very clean, beachfront and comfortable. Swimming was only disappointment.

The best was the people that work there. They try to make you feel happy and relax.I like it too much. Also the place has a beautifull view.

The rooms are old but comfortable. The pool was wonderful and maintained, fantastic for little ones because there is a bit of a shallow area for them to play, ours is 1 1/2 yo and she could walk in the shallow end. Not really great for swimming in the lagoon area, this hotel does not face the open ocean. Location was great, short distance to Merigot, capital of the French side. We walked there one time, but I wouldn't recommend it. Close to Merigot before the bridge was a supermarket. The kitchenette the room comes with is actually outside at the porch attached to the room. The fridge was great to keep stuff, but there are few amenities like cooking supplies and dishes, etc, so it was best for reheating leftovers or making sandwiches for the day. Buffet breakfast was included and was wonderful. The hotel is right next to a French bakery which was wonderful and sold sandwiches and pastry, boy to I miss that! We rented a car to get around for about half of the vacation, otherwise we just enjoyed the days and relaxation. I love St. Martin and will come back again! I felt safe and I thought this area was a calm and peaceful place to stay. Very happy.

This hotel was neat and clean, but nothing spectacular in terms of decor & ambience. Our shower didn't work on arrival. Although it was fixed by maintainence within an hour, the delay was a little frustrating to a couple of New Yorkers not used to Island time. The hotel was quiet - not recommended if you want to a lot of people around to create atmosphere. My biggest issue with the hotel is that its on the lagoon side of the peninsula, and now having been to the island, I think the beaches at Friars Bay and Orient Bay are much nicer, so that's the main reason I wouldn't stay there again. I have to say, the French side may be a bit pricier than the Dutch side, but if you like the French food, there really are some spectacular restaurants, particularly in Grand Case and the Marina at Marigot (Le Plongeur - amazing!).

The staff at the Le Flamboyant Hotel were unfriendly, not as accomodating, and less helpful compared to the other places we have been to. The hotel is lacking in their activity department and needs to give or just post helpful information for first time visitors. For example: what kind of activities you can sign up (not, it depends) and actually when the activity hut is open. My husband and I realized that we needed to be proactive. We signed up to go jet skiing and snorkeling at the Rhino. We rented a car for the week and actually explored the island. We went to the beach almost every day. Our favorite is Orient Beach, Cupecoy Beach, Baie Rouge Beach, Simpson Beach, Great Bay, and more. Our advice is to treat Le Flamboyant as a place to stay and crash after your fun day. We have been to multiple Carribean Islands and St. Martin is certainly not the friendliest and not as laid back as the other islands. However, the island itself is beautiful.

Only stayed one night and was not impressed with the place. I have never stayed at a hotel where they don't have washclothes. The staff was mediocre at best.

Resort showing signs of age. Breakfast buffet powdered eggs, leftover fruits, bad coffee. Prices at the pool bar way over the top. Bed was an inch off the floor and very uncomfortable. Staff reasonable but none have been to a first class resort. Beach towels exchanged every two days.

The hotel was just fine overall UNTIL Saturday night, when apparently the hotel either sponsored or allowed someone else to have a party in the public areas that played loud music and lasted until 3AM! The way the hotel is laid out, the noise reverberated throughout the whole hotel. There was of course no one to complain to, since like I said it was either a hotel-sponsored party or a private party they allowed to happen. Granted, it was a Saturday night, and I have nothing against someone having a late-night party with noise, but it seems like there could have been some way for the hotel to manage that without keeping all of its patrons up until 3am. Besides that, the hotel was nice enough. In fact, if it wasn't for that one evening, I would have given the hotel 4 or 5 stars. But they had given no notice that they were having this loud party, so I would be concerned if I were to ever stay there again that they would do something like that again. I will not stay there again just for this reason. If you want to be up early in the morning at any point during your vacation, it seems it would be too risky to stay here. What if they happen to have one of their loud, unannounced parties when you have an early hike or an early tee time scheduled the next morning? Better to pick a hotel that doesn't do this sort of thing.

The hotel is relatively cheap for St. Martin. Room was clean and big. It even has a balcony with kitchenette. It is not located in the city area, but I thought it has good access to the airport and Marigot. I do not have complaints about the hotel itself. I think I got what I paid for. It may be a French way, but here were what I found inconvenient. 1. There was no alarm clock--even a regular clock in the room. 2. I asked the front desk to give us wake up call two days in a row. They failed both days. (i.e. we did not get any calls). Especially the second day, we had to wake up at 5:00am to get to the airport. Fortunately, I woke up myself at 4:50 am. We did not any calls from them. We could have missed our flight!! 3. They say laundry service takes 48 hours to be back. Ours did not come back until I told them to get them back. 4. There was no stamps at the front desk. 5. No coffee maker in the room. If these things do not matter for you, it is a good deal.

The hotel was overall nice, the location was quiet, on the lagoon side of the island, nice quiet place to lounge on the beach and the water center was always nice and willing to help. The pool was a little cold, not heated, and we never found the hot tub! but we had the ocean. Free breakfast, was not the best! so don't plan on it. We stayed a week and never got new sheets, but we never asked for them, so if you want clean towels and sheets you need to ask. The front desk was always friendly and helpful. If you don't speak french don't plan on watching any good tv the selection is slim and all in french. But overall for the price it was a good place to stay and good service.

It is a European hotel, with the toilet separate from the shower, and a general feeling like many of the accomodations I have stayed at in Italy and France. It is not a Four Seasons in the US. The bed was a true king sized bed, but the mattress was not super comfy. However, the room was large (more of a suite, really), and it was quiet. The pool is great, with a bar right next to it, and the little beach on Simpson Bay is a nice place to soak up some sun. The staff was helpful in calling taxis and arranging a car rental. I only ate at the bar, not the main restaurant, and it was fine for a snack, but with the great restaurants in Grand Case in Marigot, I did not plan on eating at the hotel. The grounds are pretty with tropical plants and flowers. The location is decent - we walked to Marigot, but I live in New York and walk everywhere. It is not that far from the Dutch side, the Atlantis and the casino in Maho. Baie Rouge is beautiful and not too far a walk away. Overall, I enjoyed the trip.

The Hotel Le Flamboyant, on the French side, St. Martin worked fine for our needs. The rooms were large with patios, equipted with mini fridge, small stove and sink, kind of unusual. The hotel is on Simpson's Bay, not the ocean, very pretty but it is best if you have a car to drive to all the fabulous beaches close by. The guests at the hotel seemed to be from all over....which was fun. The hotel is minutes from Marigot, so that was great also. So yes, we would recommend and we own two hotels in the states.
