All of the staff we encountered were extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. The food was very good. WiFi service was not very reliable in the lobby. We were disappointed that there was no good snorkeling areas in front of the hotel. There was some good snorkeling a short drive away.

We were a couple that stayed in the oceanview suite, the room had a beautiful view of the ocean, a sofa that could be pulled out to a bed, two tv's in each room(with big selection of channels including HBO, TNT, Food network, etc.), two desks in each room, the balcony had a table and chairs and was accessible through either the living room or the bedroom. there was a mini fridge that worked and the air conditioning worked well also. the safe worked (it was an electronic one, most of the other ones on the property are key safes from what i understood). the bed was comfortable and SO large. the room was very spacious and had plenty of closet space. the bathroom was great too, if anything the water was too hot. the view was so worth it. the staff were always willing to help with anything you needed, i planned a private dinner on the beach and everyone was super accommodating and helpful. the chef came out to talk to me and planned a special menu. the food at the hotel was good! breakfast had many options including an omelette bar, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, potatoes, pancakes, etc. we missed lunch everyday but there is a "snack bar" that offers a full menu with sandwiches, pasta, hot dogs, salad and ice cream! the restaurants on the property are so so delicious, i recommend Morgans pier, food was unbelievably. they take pride in it! they were not stingy with the alcohol that they put in drinks, which you could literally ask for anything and they will make it for you.

The first day we arrived we took the sunset cruise that they offer on their Calypso Cat. I wish we would have not done that. While stepping off the boat onto the dock I slipped and ended up breaking 4 bones in my foot. It was not the most enjoyable experience. They did offer to move us to a new room that was closer to everything (since I was now wheelchair bound), as originally our room was at the top of a large hill. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful and all of the staff we came in contact with were so kind and helpful. By far the most friendly people out of any country I've ever visited. Of course I would have enjoyed our vacation much more had I not broken my foot but overall we made the best of my predicament. They say that their boat is fully insured etc.. but they certainly didn't cover anything from this accident. Long story short, got back home and met with an Orthopedic surgeon who told me that my foot was so crushed that the only surgery he could do was a complete fusion of the bones in my foot. Bummer for sure. Again the resort itself is beautiful but I would shy away from the Calypso Cat excursions.

The hotel is has beautiful landscape. Front desk staff was very nice. The waiters not so much. I was on my own and started to think I was invisible when it came to being served. Also no WiFi in most rooms and what there is in public places is very slow. Food was decent but repetitive. Overall it was just ok.

General staff members were very rude. In many cases staff members would ignore you and wouldn't talk nicely. Service is pathetic in general at all restaurants. No word called courtesy exists at this hotel. I will not recommend to anyone.

The resort itself is very well kept. The staff is not too friendly at all. Check-in is a nightmare. Food was excellent, but service is horrible. Also, i went with ny fiancé and we are a lesbian couple. Stay away if you are gay!!! They will call you the opposite sex foe the whole trip, even though i look very much like a female. Not gay friendly!!!

Checking was horrible. If you check in on a Tuesday they don't show the property till Wed morning at 930 after you have been there for hours already. No entertainment during the day and night entertainment is horrible. You can only eat at each restaurant once with a reservation. Bar closes early. This is a resort for ppl 50+

Slightly dated, small resort that still is pleasant enough if it were more fairly priced. Very small beach with churning sand, so it's not the crystal blue water you see at other Saint Lucian resorts. The main problems are that it's terribly over-priced for the limited all-inclusive experience and poorly-maintained rooms (in 1 of 2 rooms we booked, shower head didn't work well, very low water pressure, A/C unit wasn't strong enough). Worse, while the attitude of the staff outside of the reception building was good, everyone at the reception and concierge desks were not very helpful and at times uninterested in trying to help much.

The hotel was outstanding and beautiful, and the staff was unbelievable. My Family would love to go back maybe next year.

We had a great time. Very friendly staff was professional and attentive. They made our stay very enjoyable.

My husband and I went here for our honeymoon and could not have been happier with the resort. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, the daily buffet and the restaurants were amazing, the ameneties were exactly what we expected. Sandals was right down the road from this resort and we got a much better deal here. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend this resort to everyone!

We went for 12 days 11 nights. Absolutely meet our expectations! The hotel offered so many different awesome excursions. Staff was welcoming and so nice. The food was amazing even the buffet. The hotel /beach was very private. Nice and romantic get away for couples.

Beautiful wedding, beautiful scenery! Everyone works on island time and can be very nonchalant when it comes to urgently resolving issues. Beautiful view from our room, quite the hike but well worth it. Can't wait to go back for our ten year anniversary.

This was a great hotel find. The Hotel is all inclusive and the best part is that all non-motorized activities, e.g. wind surfing, kayaking, etc where included. The food was of good quality especially the fish. On premises there is a tour operator that offers a day trip to the Piton, waterfalls, and mud bath it was great day trip and the food offered was great. The biggest downside was the lack of good internet connection.

We loved the whole experience at St. James! The staff was exceptional and always very helpful and respectful. The island is just so beautiful and we came back feeling like we had really been on a very restful and relaxed vacation. We highly recommend St. James Resort and cannot wait to go back!

We do a week long family reunion in Caribbean's regularly. We have visited all-inclusive hotels in Mexico, Jamaica, Caymans, and some other places thus we compare apples to apples. That was truly trouble free best ever vacation of all: true all-inclusive, good food, fun, and complete relax. The beach is wonderful, sea is deep enough so you can swim right away but has place for kids as well. Some may say restaurants are boring and food variety is not as it could plus extra charges is not appropriate but we have had a blast - our time there worth every penny we have spent. Even daily rain (it was end of November) didn't dent our pleasure there. We have "no-return" policy (never goes same place twice) as there are many places in the world to visit but we are thinking to make exception for that one.

This hotel appeared to be the best value for our money, and since we'd just finished paying cash for our whole wedding, we were very value conscious for our honeymoon, something we didn't want to be. However, the location of the St. James Club on the Western side of the Island, and just north of Castries, was magnificent. The club also had a great variety of restaurants which all had spectacular options on their menu. The hotel also has a great selection of tours available directly from their tour desk available to you for a greater discount than we received for booking them separately. If we decide to return to St. James Club we will be booking our tours/activities through them rather than through an independent tour group.

Me and my boyfriend had a great time at this hotel. The location of the hotel was perfect we were able to hop on a bus right infront of the resort to go to town for about a $1 USD or you can take a cab which cost $15. The food was amazing we dined at all the resturants except jardin. Our suite was beautiful and the resort was very very clean. I would definitely book this hotel again

The hotel, beach,& pools were very nice. There is a lot of uphill walking and stairs back to your room which is good to keep you in shape. We had a great time going on Joys cruise and going Zip lining at treetop. We learn a lot and got to see a lot of the island. My biggest complaint about the hotels is the lack of interest by the staff working here. From restaurant personal to lobby staff and also bartenders they either don't understand English or don't care. They seem very disconnected. And are very slow. We had to order things twice or they brought you the wrong thing. Even setting up are dinner reservations she wrote down the wrong time on are slip and also booked us for 4 people every night when there was only 2. Also are power was out when we arrived so I wanted to be moved but there would be a $50 upgrade to move up on the hill. The next morning power out again they said they would look into it. Then it was good for a day then the last 2 days it went out again and the hair dryer quit. At check out they never said anything about are troubles we had with the electric. They really seem to not care here if you have ever been to Mexico that is service here not so much.

The best part about St. James's Club was the wonderful staff there. So friendly and helpful! The hotel rooms were clean and a good size. The food at the restaurants for dinner (that requred reservations) was fantastic The buffets for breakfast and dinner were good, but nothing outstnading. The hotel grounds and beach were above average, but again, not anything super special. If you're looking for a nice all-inclusive place on the beach with a few pools and a swim up bar, a spa, some great dinner food and wonderful people, this is your place! If you are over the top luxury, though, look elsewhere.

Dear Valued Guests, Thank you very much for taking the time to read our reply. Please know that the health and safety of our guests is always our primary concern. The Calypso Cat is a very nice, very safe catamaran, which provides very popular excursions for hundreds of guests each week. In this particular case, all the usual safety precautions were in place, including crew members to assist guests stepping on and off the boat. Unfortunately, in disembarking the boat at the dock, the guest missed her step, which resulted in this injury. Again, this was a one-time occurrence, and is certainly not indicative of the Calypso Cat’s operation. When enjoying water-based excursions, we strongly urge all guests to remain hydrated, wear sunscreen and protective clothing, watch their alcohol consumption, and mind the instructions provided by crew members. This way, you can enjoy a wonderful, safe, sane and fully enjoyable excursion and holiday in beautiful St. Lucia. Many thanks,
