We attended a banquet at the hotel, and it was convenient to spend the night there. It is an older hotel, but they have done their best to keep it updated. The room was clean, and the bed comfortable. A fridge and microwave would have been nice. I thought the price was high, but we were in the cities so maybe I am being unrealistic. Cookies at check in were excellent and the front desk staff were very pleasant and efficient. As far as the banquet goes, that was a little disappointing. The service was very slow, the salad was tiny, and the lettuce was wilted, the food was cold when it got to us, and the chicken was dry. Sorry for the criticism, but we own a resort ourselves, and I realize it can't get fixed if you don't know what is wrong.

I will no longer book through Orbitz when I want a specific room. I paid more for a 2 queen 2 room suite, and when we arrived I was given a king whirlpool suite and told my contract with orbitz only states I would be given a suite. The hotel staff was very accommodating, but had a full hotel, so they couldn't move us to the correct room until the second night. Spent the first night in a standard 2 full bed room. When moved to the 2 queen, 2 room suite, the beds were no bigger. I would've hated to have 2 adults sleeping in that bed. But overall the bed was comfy. Probably the best I've slept in a hotel in quite some time. Loved the size and layout of the suite, but rooms are by the pool and quite noisy. The location of this hotel is wonderful. Close to downtown, and between 169 and 100, so quick access to get to anywhere else you would need to go. Can easily walk to restaurants and movie theater. Costco and Cub Foods are also across the street along with the west end shops. The shower could've been cleaner. Mold/mildew was starting to grow in the grout. Room service trays were left in the hallway for several hours. Overall a decent experience, but left with the feeling that this hotel was trying to be high end but couldn't quite pull it off b

As usual with the chain, clean rooms, plenty of amenities and conveniently located!

I was kept up all night by what I later found out was a wedding party. Regardless, I had little to no rest on this trip, and felt like staff did not do enough to help their customers who were not involved in the wedding. Also, no shuttle on the weekends - that sucked!

First - we were given the wrong room. We paid for an executive level room and had to go back to the lobby to change the room as each time we called the desk we were put on hold. The indoor pool is open to the halls to the elevators and lobby so the entire hotel reeks of chlorine - even in our 14th floor room. Needs major redo - water stains on the ceiling, frayed curtains and stained rugs. Free appetizers in the bar but the food was awful. How can you ruin nachos?

Needed a hotel this past weekend for my best friend's coed baby shower. Even though I had relatives in town I wanted to stay at a hotel and just enjoy the experience. Needless to say I did that and more. Room was great (14th floor) with a view, courteous staff and excellent location. I would stay there again and recommend to anyone visiting from out-of-town.

Central located, within minutes of downtown Minneapolis, within walking distance of several restaurants

Hotel is under renovation but rooms were great! Nice and big. Biggest issue was getting there off Hwy 100...every ramp was closed to get onto the hwy. super frustrating. Also front desk wasn't helpful with trying to get taxi's

The Doubletree Downtown is in a great location & the staff was awesome! Rooms are a little expensive & no continental breakfast for as expensive as everything was but definitely recommend this hotel!

While our overall experience was good to above average, we do have some specific suggestions: I am ahilton Honors so I went to that sign at the front desk. We were told no one was staffing that area. Why have the sign there then. The cookie at check in is a nice touch. Check in was fast and courteous. The pillows are too soft. The pool is cloudy. The hot tub is a warm tub.

Nice location, nice staff, nice bar and great bartender

Just wanted to get out for a night and not have to worry about driving home... Our room was small, but clean and comfortable. It was the right price and the right location for what we were looking to do.

I really liked the location's convenience to downtown and west suburbs. Also quite appreciated the friendliness of staff.

Good Hotel only thing I didn't like is there was no WIFI in the rooms.

The waitstaff in the dining room was abominable and, though I cannot prove this, after the waitress disappeared with our credit card for 25 minutes saying "Oops, for got I had it", the credit card company flagged our card as fraudulent use and we could not use it the rest of the stay. I suppose it could be a coincidence but I would seriously check what is going on in that restaurant. The rest of the hotel was nice enough, but the weekend was ruined.

We were invited to a party and made a last minute decision to go. We needed a Downtown Minneapolis Hotel in a hurry and found they were all booked. We discovered the Double Tree in St. Louis Park in the nick of time and enjoyed our stay. The Hotel is a short driving distance from the Downtown area and has great restaurants, shopping and movie theater areas within walking distance as well. The Sunday brunch was as advertised (a pleasant surprise). Although, we did not bring our children, this hotel is "kid-friendly". I look forward to going back and do recommend this option to others as well.

All of the staff helpful, patient, and fast. Breakfast quality mediocre but fast. Small pool good for pre-teens, but if they're in, few adults would enjoy. Easy to get to, ample parking.

ONe of the most comfortable beds I've ever had in a hotel

I was greeted by the front desk person right upon walking in, I was not made to wait at all, I was given warm fresh baked cookies and my room was bright, smelled and looked very clean, and my bed was extremely comfortable. Room was a nice size. I stayed in the Two Double Beds.

Greetings! Thank you for your feedback here, I apologize for the issues you encountered your stay. The location of the hotel is very accommodating, as you mentioned with Westend across the street and Cub Foods and Costco right there. I'm very happy to see we were able to accommodate you, with the bed situation. We look forward to welcoming you back. Than you, Nicole
