Red Lion Hotel St Louis City Center

Blood stained sheets. I simply asked the front desk to have the sheets changed, I assumed they were. Woke up the next morning, same stained sheets.Gross. Also overcharged me 100.00 for my stay. CF

Hotel was clean and comfortable, but visibly in need of updates. Everything but bar was closed before 6pm.

I don't know what else to say -- this hotel is fine for the price. Its one of the cheaper spots in St Louis for a reason: it is pretty out of the way and humbly appointed. I found the room was too dark. There was a window out into this weird enclosed courtyard that was underutilized, sparsely decorated, and not well lit. So opening the window didn't help much with the lighting. Its a bed in a decently sized room for a good price, so it will serve your needs if that is what you like, but it is generally uninviting.

This location was extremely conveninet to the venue we were attending. The only suggestion that I have is that on the weekends they should have snacks or appetizers available in the hotel lounge that stays open until one.

I was pleasantly surprised by my stay here. I was a bit wary after reading some of the negative reviews, but this hotel is perfectly fine! Yes, it's rather old and smells a bit musty, but the room was fine. In fact, it was better than fine... it was HUGE with two queen beds, two TVs, a couch, coffee table, mini-fridge and wet bar! The beds were comfy and the room was clean and well-stocked. The staff was great and very friendly, and there was a restaurant, a bar and a coffee shop in the lobby. It's right down the street from the Scottrade Center so it's very convenient if you're attending an event there, but be aware that there's very little else in the immediate vicinity within walking distance. There are no drugstores, convenience stores, etc. to buy any snacks, drinks, or sundries. This was fine for a short stay, though. I loved it and would definitely stay here again if attending an event at the Scottrade Center. Also, this hotel is right across the street from a train station, so you can take the train directly to the airport for only $2.50! It only takes about half an hour and is better than paying $40-50 for a taxi or Uber.

Clearly not cleaned very well. Big stains on carpet. Room service trays in hallway when we checked in and still there when we checked out. Service was great at front desk, but overall cleanliness was unacceptable.

We were checked in 3 hours later than check in. The rooms were dirty (stains on the couches and blood on the bathroom wall) and we did not have a lock on the door. The only good thing about this hotel was that the manager knew how disgusting everything was. He ended up refunding our money in full, after I explained that my daughters were uncomfortable with the entire place. We wasted 4 hours of our weekend trip, so look for some place different when traveling to Saint Louis.

Made a reservation several months back. At that time we requested a King bed and a Jacuzzi tub. When we arrived we were given a room with two queen beds and a regular tub. When we inquired about another room we were told we could have a King with no Jacuzzi tub, or a Queenwith a Jacuzzi tub. We stayed in our original room as we were afraid of a possible upgrade fee. Also, the vending machine and ice machine on our floor were broken. Only up side was that the Scottrade Center was only two blocks away.

It is a bit shabby. The furniture was old and nicked up. The bed was old and not very comfortable.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times. The rooms are large, the hotel doesn't seem very busy usually..or it's just so huge you don't notice. I always valet park my car and Uber anywhere I want to go. It is directly across from the Scott Trade Center and across the street from the train & mass transit trains...very handy location. My only gripe is my last stay our bathroom sink area did not have a functioning light.

The location was perfect. The staff was friendly. The hotel is very clean,

Pariking was hard. . Not enough linens. Otherwise it was good

Rooms, workout area and pool was great. Not sure what was going on with the hot tub. Would be nice to have some type of Continental breakfast. Over all great stay

Decent hotel. Decent price. Convenient to downtown nightlife and eateries.

The St. Louis City Center Hotel is convenient for us to attend concerts right across the street at the Scottrade Center, or to attend games at Busch Stadium a few blocks away. This is our downtown go-to hotel. The location can be sort of sketchy, but there is onsite security and an attached parking garage. The hotel is older, and in need of updating, but is comfortable and convenient enough to make up for it.

The hotel is dirty and rundown. Not worth the amount charged at all!!!

From the valet staff to the receptionist, they were all very helpful. I had problem with my reservation but the receptionist was so kind and took care of the issue and resolved it. Ma Kenia that helped in valet parking and luggage also took the time to show me how to get around town using the metro and bus. The carpet in the room has quite a bit of stain markings

Our room was comfortable and spacious. Check in was efficient. We had an easy walk to Busch Stadium. We were very pleased with this hotel for our weekend getaway!

Staff was great, spacious and clean room. Old building

I recently spent two nights here with the family. A few highlights: --no blankets available for the pull-out couch --no hot water or shampoo in the room --no answer at the front desk when called about hot water --keycard readers in elevators worked half the time I could go on, but in the end it was OK because they refund my stay, parking, etc.
