Great staff. Hotel updated. Rooms clean. Large pillows and decent bedding.

Too far from America Center. Hotel was nice. Food was great and moderately priced. I will stau here again.

We were traveling back to NJ from CA and wanted something clean and comfortable but inexpensive. This hotel was all three. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were great. Would definatly stay here again.

This was a safe, convenient location to stay for our business trip. I would recommend this place for the cleanliness. However we tried the coffee and at the restaurant and it was very watery. Not sure if it was a bad coffee day. The flowers in the front were so beautiful. Many kudos to the the male that takes care of the flowers.

Was nice and clean. I would stay here again when I am in St. Louis.

I felt like I received what I paid for. Room was clean. Staff was nice. They didn't have a fridge or microwave, but that was okay with me.

Checked in after a long drive...everyone was very friendly and the room was extra clean. Love the decor.

The room was spacious but there were a number of problems: there was really offensive graffiti in the desk drawer, the thread count of the sheets was quite low they were very scratchy. The bathroom floor needed mopping.

The location was perfect - nestled in the crook of I-55 and I-255 on Lindbergh Blvd. It looked recently refurbished inside, and the rooms were great! Very clean & had more amenities than I needed, but worked perfectly for my needs. The front desk even called me about an hour after I checked in to make sure all was well.

I lived in St Louis for a few years, and the two times I've come back to visit I've chosen this hotel ... I won't choose it again. My personal pros: it was close to friends, and shopping (south county mall is across the street), plenty of parking, and the hotel staff is always VERY nice. Cons: The floors smell like smoke (though my room was fine), the A/C can be loud, you can hear guests in their rooms (alarms going off and blow dryers), the pool has a STRONG chemical smell, the restaurant downstairs is just mediocre, and other guests can be a bit questionable looking at times. As a single woman traveling I didn't feel completely safe this last trip; however, there were a number of families as well - so maybe it was just a bad weekend for me. There's a Hotel 6 nearby, so (if you're looking for economy) try that place out too - it's next to some better restaurants. I think I'll stick with something a bit more pricey next time to feel more secure.

room was old and tired, porr lighting to work (quite common) no place to plug in my computer without unplugging the desk lamp or tv. breakfast food was good...dinner food was so so and room service forgot a lot of things...like ketchup for frech fries...food arrived lucke warm..

This was the only hotel that was halfway decent within miles. If you need to stay in South County, this would be the best choice. The rooms were adequate, but aging. The bedding was upgraded and very plush and comfortable. We had the breakfast buffet and it was adequate. The reataurant USED to be good. We didn't eat there, but did a few times in the 1980s.

Good location as we were on the go most of the time with local family. It was nice that the hotel was recently renovated. Good location; easy to get downtown or out to the county.

Our trip was a family affair for our father's funeral. We booked with a Holiday Inn assuming that we wouldn't have any problems with a higher end hotel. Getting to the hotel was the first issue. The entrance was difficult to locate because we had to drive through a closed strip-mall parking lot off a major road to get there. Several u-turns were made. Once in the lobby, we were overcome with the smell of paint and adhesive. The pool was being resurfaced and was closed. There was no mention of this on their website and, needless to say, the children were very disappointed. The smell made it next to impossible to spend any time in the lobby area during the three days we spent there. The morning of the funeral, we rose early to get everyone ready only to find that the hotel was without hot water. I called the front desk and asked if they could tell us why there was no hot water. The clerk said "No, but the maintenance man was due in 20-30 minutes and we'll have him check". With literally seconds to spare before we needed to be at the funeral home, hot water was restored. Apparently, the boilers had tripped off during the night and we were the first guests to notice. Seems to me there should be a backup system or, at least a warning system, for something this important. Despite all these issues, no compensation was ever offered during our stay. We had a total of 4 rooms for 3 days. When we travel to visit our dad, I will be sure to avoid booking at this hotel.

very friendly and helpful stafff for business travelers. Will stay again
