A bed, small fridge, microwave, tv, and poor internet with a couple of beds. Room should have been $35 versus $70.
Just an overnight stop while traveling. Booked in advance at an excellent rate. Cordial staff, room exactly as requested, good Wi-Fi signal, TV, refrigerator and microwave all worked very well. Plenty of ice available within a few steps of the room. Air conditioner cooled the room off quickly. Perfect example of delivering the 'basics' in a quality, cost effective manner. If you're looking for resort amenities, go pay $120.00 somewhere else but if you just need a good night's sleep at a great price - stay HERE.
The people was rude and the room was not very sanitary at all I found rodents in the room!
I reserved this room for my father, who was traveling to my great aunt's funeral in St. Louis. Upon arriving, it was poorly lit to find way to room, stairways and hallways were dingy and dirty. Also, you could enter rooms without the hotel key card, because the doors would not close and latch properly. Room seemed mostly clean, but overall the hotel was poorly maintained, outdated, and dirty. The indoor pool was small and "sketchy" looking, even if he had time to swim, the pool did not look welcoming. Overpriced for being "just a bed for one night" worth of a hotel.
We didn't know where we would be by bedtime so we didn't book in advance. I went online and found a cheap hotel. It was OK for the price. The room had a funky smell but it appeared clean. Microwave, small fridge, two comfortable queen beds and ample space. The pool didn't open until 10:00 so we didn't try that out but it looked nice for an indoor pool. The free continental breakfast consisted of stale donuts. I didn't see any beverages. If you just need a bed for a quick sleep over it was fine.
Beds were comfortable but comforter was thread bearing. The toilet never did flush and the staff didn't seem to care when we told them of the issue. Man with his young child on his lap where mowing the lawn with a rider, the child got off and climbed on the very large out of date satellite dish and jumped on it till it broke. Pool was VERY warm and looked like it needed cleaned. Poor experience over all. We will not go back.
Served the purpose very well with very reasonable pricing. Not the cleanest, nor was the desk very cordial. However, the stay was quiet and comfortable.
The hotel was hard to find. The staff was extremely unfriendly The overall hotel was very dirty. The carpet was gummy from all the filth. The rooms were very, very hot. The first room we were put in had a TV that did not work and we had to pack up and switch rooms. There was a 4am fire alarm sounding for 20 minutes.
The hotel is an older one that is in process of being renovated. But it was cheap and quiet. no hassels.
Stayed during Xmas, would drive over to daughter's house during the day. Had intended to have grandchildren come and swim but the pool area is very gloomy and tiny. It was just fine for sleeping and relaxing in room. It's just doughnuts and coffee for the 'breakfast', but that's said up front.
The price was very good, but in the motel biz, it seems that you get what you pay for. Big enough room, but carpets not very clean, strange cleaner/perfume smell in room.
My wife and I spent a night at this place on July 11, 2009. Unfortunately, there was no way to find out more about it before we booked. Place is totally neglected and for the reason, as we found out a little later - ignorant and management... Stuff has problems speaking and understanding English and they don't keep records of you or your visit (no computer system). In addition to our troubles while at the place itself, we were misfortunate to leave there a cell phone. You may think no big deal. Just call and they will ship it to you, right? We thought so too. Today is August 22nd and we still didn't get a phone, so I gave up and bought a new one!! First I tried to get receptionist to ship phone to me. No luck (remember, no English..also, no email to send them shipping label that I bought from USPS..). I spent 2 weeks trying. Than I asked for manager and was given name and phone number. It was [...]. She never returned my calls. Later, when I was able to reach her through hotel stuff member she told me that she will send me my phone right away. I waited for a week and called again. It turned out she blacklisted my number, so I couldn't even leave a message. Than finally, I was told, again through stuff member that she mailed phone to me "yesterday" and there is no tracking number. This was 6 days ago. It's been 1 month and 10 days. I gave up and just bought another phone and now writing this review. So, guys, do yourself a favor, if you need to spend a night in that area, drive another 15 miles and stop at some other place.
