Honestly, I had pretty low expectations of a place in such a rural area. I was kind of expecting mildew, mold and drafty but it was very clean, updated and comfortable. I was very pleasantly surprised. Would definitely recommend and would stay away.

Liked- breakfast in the morning. Various foods like yogurt, fresh, whole fruit, make your own waffles, bagels, etc. The staff was very friendly. Did NOT like - I think this is the only hotel in America that still has smoking rooms! The room smelled terribly of smoke and there were many burn holes in the blankets! Ashtray was in the room! Wow! Behind the front desk was a bit cluttered. Lobby was a bit worn down.

If you want affordable this works. Queen size bed is ok..King would be better. Walls are thin..can hear people in hall, above, when someone showers near you..etc. clean inside..staff is pleasant.
Old but clean, located near the highway, this hotel is a value for money solution
Only downer was no king bed, my feet had to hang off the end. For $80 a night did not expect much. It was clean and neat and seemingly well kept.
Room was noisy due to lobby and fridge motor ran at night making noise

this hotel was a bit far from SUNY Potsdam, which is the reason we needed the lodging. The staff was accommodating but overall the room, which was clean and inviting, was less than comfortable (the beds are soft - for me a difficulty). Noisy neighbors above added to the frustration.
We have stayed at this motel many times. The room we had this time was clean and recently redone. Breakfast was ordinary with enough for everyone. Staff was very polite.

Room was clean, showers were hot, and breakfast was not great -but good enough for the price we paid. Much better value than hotels in Potsdam/Canton area. We just needed a place to sleep for the night while visiting our child at college. Would definitely recommend.
