Pros were the price to stay here (I paid $60 a night for 2 mid week nights). The room was clean and warm and you could actually open a window for fresh air. TV was nice and there are DVD players with a selection of free DVDs to borrow from the lobby. Breakfast was adequate: eggs, bacon, waffles, variety of breads, oatmeal, apples, bananas, cereals, and yogurt. Cons were that the pool area was not very clean- the pool itself was warmer than most pools and it seemed clean, but the area around the pool was not very clean and there was a constant shortage of towels. We swam 4 times in 2 days and my kids and I had to return to our room soaking wet on the last morning. There is a steam room/sauna that doesn't work and the showers in both the men's and women's changing rooms have had their plumbing removed so u can't use them. Also, there was no TP in the ladies room. Lastly, and this was most irritating, was the selection of drinks in the vending machines- only soda or water. For a family oriented hotel I'd expect & appreciate offerings of juice or gatorade or ice tea.

We stay at this hotel often while visiting our son stationed at Fort Drum. This past trip we were in rm 312 that over looks the parking area for the bar and experienced 4 hrs of drunks arguing and carrying on in that parking lot late into the night. Wasnt the best experience we have had at this hotel. The rooms are clean and the complimentary breakfast is good but make sure if you are staying on a weekend avoid that side of the hotel unless you are the bar fly type then this is your side.

We booked this hotel because the pics looked great online, and they accepted pets. Another key reason was the swimming pool, which is something we look for in a hotel due to our 7 and 9 year-old sons, who travel with us. The disappointment began upon arrival - the lounge did not open until 3 on a Saturday, and it had been a very long trip and we were looking for lunch. They were not ready for us to check in, so we went elsewhere. Upon on return for check-in, we learned at the pool had been drained for repairs (there was no mention of that on the Website). After settling into the room, my husband called the front desk for the Internet password. The Internet connection was down... blow three. We ordered room service that evening (the food was good). I got up the following morning, dressed, and headed to the workout room, before learning it was closed due to its proximity to the pool, which was under repair (safety reasons). While I was offered a YMCA voucher, I was already in my workout attire (shorts and a cutoff shirt) and the prospect of walking up the street in 30 degree weather was not a desirable option. Then, the final whammy at checkout - we were charged 2.50 for a 'long distance call' - to the hotel's room service number.

I found the Best Western in Watertown to be very comfortable for the most part. The beds were super comfortable, the room was very clean, front desk and housekeeping staff were very pleasant. I was traveling with kids and we loved the pool and the breakfast buffet. My negative were the door to our room stuck badly and was difficult to open and close throughout our stay, the hotel definitely needs to invest in new pillows - they are so soft they're like sleeping on nothing, and the floor surface in the pool area should be replaced with something less slippery - it's pretty treacherous with wet feet. Also, while we were there a concert was going on in a banquet room downstairs, so parking lots were very full - I overheard a guest checking in expressing his concern over having to park overnight in the street, and was inquiring to the front desk staff whether he would be ticketed, what time the concert was ending, where alternative parking might be found, etc., and to every question the clerk just kept responding "I don't know -I'm not from Watertown. " I felt she could have at least tried to find out the answers to his concerns. This is not the first time I've stayed here and since I have family here it won't be the last, and the pros here definitely outweigh the cons.

Watertown was halfway between home and my destination in Canada. For the money, the Best Western is a luxury option. The bed was very comfortable, the room was spacious and the bathroom was clean and in good repair. I've stayed there before, and I'd stay there again.

I found my stay at this hotel to be very quiet and relaxing. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. I couldn't have asked for a better stay.

We had a great at at here. I stayed at this hotel while picking up my son to take him back home after a visit with his dad. The hotel was clean and not to pricey. I would recommend this hotel.

We spent two nights at the Best Western this week. The hotel is very clean and has recently been renovated. The bed was very comfy and they have free internet service. The breakfast was very generous and the dining room was roomy. Our only complaint is that getting into the hotel meant we had to go to the back of the hotel and enter to get to the elevator. The hotel was very quiet and plenty of parking. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Clean room, quiet, nice stay. Very comfortable, only negative shower pressure was a bit low and shower could have been hotter.

This hotel was outstanding! The rooms had just been updated and looked very modern and fresh. The breakfast was included and it was amazing. Bacon, sausage, eggs and home fries were a delicious way to start the day. Very nice front desk staff. We were very pleased!

I wish that 'Undercover Boss' would come in to give credit to Jose, who fixed the clogged air conditioner in the room above ours that was dripping into the non-working air conditioner in our room, got us a new room, and was found maintaining the messy breakfast bar, which was often times lacking the basics. The pool had a thick sheen that appeared gelatin-like. There was no entertainment despite advertising. All in all: a poor choice. Is this really a Best Western property? Shameful.

The hotel and staff were nice enough and the restaurant food was excellent. The problem was in the bathroom with a child's size toilet so low to the floor that it was difficult to use. The shower head also was not working properly. I complained to the front desk and they said they can fix that one and are slowly replacing the toilets. We were actually bored with five days in the area. The Riverwalk was ridiculous because the shrubbery is so high that you can't see the river, and nothing is easy to get to in this city. This will be our first and last trip to the 1000 island area.

well located clean friendly comfortable interesting

I got snowed in and the staff was very accommodating and helpful throughout the stay. Couldn't ask for anything better.

The hotel staff was very courteous and mindful of our needs. They are a great asset to this hotel. We used the workout room and found it quite appropriate to our needs, the breakfast buffet included all that we wanted. We were able to get a few dvd movies from the reception desk at no cost and wifi was easily available . The only negative thing that I could mention was that the pool water was really too warm, we didn't make use of it, concerned about bacteria in such water.

This hotel had what we where looking for, Clean with a pool and a hot breakfast. Unfortunately during our stay it was very cold outside. Temps hit -10 with the wind chill hitting between -25 and -30 below. This caused 3 pipes in the hotel to burst, causing water and flooding through part of the hotel. Luckily not our part, but it forced them to have to turn off the water and heat for a while and cancel the breakfast. During the night the room temp dropped quickly. It was a very cold night. Overall the place was clean. All the staff was very friendly, especially Allison at the front desk.

went swimming in the inside heated pool located on the second floor, and view the city.

We stayed in the king suite w. Living rm. I will say I have stayed in worse rooms at different hotels but they were priced about half of what this suite was. With that said book somewhere else. Dirty bathroom and on the pull out couch bed the sheets weren't changed from the previous customers stay which resulted in our son not being able to to spend the night with us. We were in the area visiting him he is stationed at Fort Drum. The complimentary breakfast was only average. The suite had new flat screens with dvd players that worked. The front desk staff was pleasant when I checked in. This is an old hotel. In my opinion this hotel stay could have been better.

The hotel was a good stop on our way to visiting a nearby college. The room was about average, but the staff and the breakfast were above average and we are used to staying at the Hamptons and Marriotts.

I stayed at this hotel for 10 days. I had never been to the area and found it in a great location downtown. The staff was very friendly and even found my ID and debit card that had been missing for days. The beds were comfortable, the TV was updated, and there was always a parking spot. The continental breakfast was above average. The only downside to this hotel is the elevator. It is slow. I did not use the pool or other amenities. The next time I go up I will definitely stay here.
