I chose this hotel because I didn't want to stay in a run down. However, given the prestigious hotel chain, I was a bit disappointed especially given the high rates I paid for New Year. Mattress was a bit lumpy, but otherwise the hotel was clean and the staff friendly and helpful.

Our stay was very satisfactory. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Very close to tram to the city and access to the beach. Good pubs and meals close by , particularly the Dick Whittington (very good ). Thank you for a good stay . I hope to come back some time.

Hotel restaurant was under renovation, terrible construction noise. No mention of this when we made our booking. The room had a terrible smell of mold, staff did not move us. No cupboards or draws to put clothes in, you have to live out of your suitcase except for four items which can go on the hangers ...
