I stay here every time I visit St. John's . I like the location and the staff is great. They have recently updated the rooms and mine was great. Very comfortable. Great shower! Lounge and restaurant is great. Just very pleasant and comfortable. Will continue to stay here.

We enjoyed the spacious room. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom clean. Decent restaurant attached.

Overall ok. Wouldn't really call it 4 stars though.

Very friendly staff and most accommodating.? Great bar and restaurant!

I was recuperating from arm surgery and travelling with one person limited by rheumatoid arthritis and another who is elderly. What an inconvenience to arrive at the front entrance and discover that I had to maneuver all the luggage down 4 steps to get to the front desk! Although we were told that our room was on the 1st level, it was actually in the basement. Not what I am looking for at this price. This hotel was not as close to the airport as expected.

Stayed here with a few of my girlfriends for our annual girls Christmas night! We had wonderful service. We left to go for dinner and drinks downtown and when we returned we were surprised to see three boxes of dessert in our refrigerator!

They made our stay comfortable, relaxing, and very friendly! Would stay there again!

I stayed at the hotel for a little over a week in one of the rooms that had a kitchenette. All the staff there was fantastic. I felt like I was being a huge bother on the first night I was there and after a shopping trip forgot the salt, pepper and sugar. The staff gave me a handful of both each time. The rooms & beds were great, even though you could tell that the building itself was older. The cleaning staff was giving me pointers on good places to eat while I was there as well. The location was also pretty close to a grocery store, the mall and a few places to eat. The only downside, for the kitchenettes is that they only had the bare minimum for cooking utensils. Overall, I would stay there again due to the staff, room quality, location and price.

Check in good, room average, Mon. lunch and Tues. breakfast good and that's where it ends. We didn't spend Tues. night in the room (keycard envelope said "feel free to come and go as you please"). The St. John's Regatta was scheduled for Thurs. the 5th (really big event in St. John's) The manager without my premission checked me out on Wed. and re-rented my room. I had gone up island to visit family and got very sick. Upon my return to the hotel on Sunday morning I discovered my card key didn't work and someone in my room. The manager, Greg Fleming said it's hotel policy to check you out if you don't stay in the room. I argued to no avail that I had paid for 6 consecutive nights. I know exactly that it was all about additional $$$ during a big event and it wasn't the right thing for them to do. I asked about some compensation and was denied.

The front desk was very nice. We asked for a late checkout and they took care of us.

We attended the soccer nationals in st. johns and the hotel was very close to the park which was great. The only thing I would have liked that our room didnt have was a microwave and fridge. The hotel was an older hotel but redone very tastefully. The rooms were cleaned every day and we were given clean towels every day, which we didn't find at other hotels. Overall I was happy with our room.

First, the hotel. The desk/receptionists were very helpful. The housekeeping staff was very receptive to our special needs. The one thing the hotel needs is better signage. We keep missing the elevator; there is no sign to indicate an elevator was there. Not very pleasant when one is tired and carrying heavy stuff. On the first floor it was difficult to find the way to the lobby. At first we kept going to the door marked exit-it led to outside the building but not the lobby. On our last night, there was a wedding party and the guests were very noisy; otherwise, it was quiet.

I booked this hotel because it was one of two hotels in the area with a complimentary airport shuttle. However, upon checking in, I was notified that the airport shuttle couldn't be guaranteed before 8 AM, which didn't do me any good since my flight was at 8:40. When I explained that I booked the hotel because of the shuttle service and that neither the Ramada or Orbitz websites listed time restrictions for the airport, and the hotel did eventually end up paying for my cab, but keep this in mind if you have a flight before 9 AM. Other than that, the room was spacious, clean, and had free wifi.
