A group of us just celebrated a friends big birthday at this resort for 3 days. Which was totally not enough time. From pulling up to the entrance to check out, the service, facilities, staff, spa services and food was outstanding. Have been to many spa resorts and Red Mountain was a gem. Also, I left 2 rings there and when I called the Hotel 2 days later, the cleaning staff had found them and they returned them to guest services waiting for someone to claim them. Can’t wait to go back!! Fran

Had incredible Thai massage while here ... both Everett and Nicole are amazing therapists. Highly recommend either. The food is overall good. We had some amazing dinners, some not so amazing. The lunch buffet was very good.

The good: the hiking! It gets 5 stars. Every hike is different and the scenery is breathtaking. The guides are excellent - knowledgeable, personable, helpful, and kind. More good: almost all the staff are fabulous. Very customer service oriented (which oddly lead to some unnecessary confusion, but they meant well). More good: the massages. Terrific masseuses. Average: the food/restaurant. For the number of staff there seemed to be on hand it was stunning how disorganized it ran. The food was okay. Average: the stretching classes. I tried several different ones. I didn’t care for any of them. Some of it is just personal preference, but in one class the instructor spoke much much too fast and too softly to be heard clearly. The bad: other spa services. The massages I had were terrific, but the other spa services I got were mediocre and over priced. The view from the spa waiting room is gorgeous though! I wish they had a sauna. The ugly: Nutrition services. I was not interested in their standard accessment and was very clear about what I was seeking. I was assured that my needs would be met. What I got was their standard accessment and a sales pitch for expensive supplements. When you have to tell a nutritionist SEVEN times (yes, I started counting) that you have a specific food allergy you know that person is on autopilot and not hearing anything you are saying. My last night a discussion of nutrition services dominated my table. It was not positive. So, if you love to hike - this place is a great value for your money.

Spent four nights on the Ultimate Essentials package. I stayed in a Dragonfly solo room which was just right. This package included $150 per day in spa credit and all meals, as well as a number of activities. It was perfect for me. I spent my credits as follows: 1) Red Rock Hiker’s Massage with Emily(best Massage I’ve ever had and that’s saying a lot). 2) Signature Facial with Rosalind. 3) Thai Reflexology with Emily. 4) Red Mountain Revitalizer with Barbara. Emily and Barbara in particular were great! Breakfast and lunch buffets were delicious. I found the portion size and variety just right. Dinner was from a menu. There were about 5 options, plus a dessert and limited liquor menu. Note about liquor: the Canyon Breeze restaurant doesn’t have a full liquor licence so options are a bit limited. You may want to stock up your room ahead of time at the State liquor store in town. The musician in the evenings was awesome ! Activities: LOVED the two hikes I went on (one Explorer level and one Challenge). The guides were Rod, Barbara, Eduardo, and Katie. They are very attentive to safety and comfort, and sharing information about the area. The Snow Canyon walk was a nice option for a lighter day. Our guide that day was Martha. Also recommend the yoga in snow Canyon and yoga for spine and hips-personal attention allows you to get the most out of it. The scenery is spectacular. The pool area is nice, water just right. You can order drinks and snacks there but I didn’t see anyone do this. Lots of lounges and a mister to cool you down if needed. Outfitters store has a pretty good variety of clothing, gear, gifts, etc. The best part is the stunning landscape. The grounds are very well cared for. Aside from the great service and all the amenities, I also loved the many thoughtful touches, such as: -providing two water bottles and a light pack-perfect to take on hikes and saw lots of guests making use of these -plastic bags in the pool change rooms for caring wet swimsuits -laundry facilities and microwave in each hotel building, along with laundry soap in your room -great linens and pillows I was very impressed at how they struck a balance between being a smaller resort (225 guests max I think they said) and offering a LOT of activity options. While the crowd mostly seemed to be groups of females travelling together, we also met couples and singles. You can be left alone or find people to hang out with to the extent you like. If you’re looking for something a bit different to do in the evening, check out the Tuacahn Amphitheatre, which is less than 10 min away. Blown away by the quality of the performance we saw (a medley of Disney songs and dance called When You Wish). By the time I left, I felt truly relaxed.

We were really looking forward to a great dinner at Red Mountain last week. We were so disappointed: the salad bar was basic, the drinks were watered down and my chicken was tough. We had chosen Canyon Breeze because it looked so good and had good reviews, but that was not our experience.

I loved this resort. After a really difficult period at work, I went to Red Mountain Resort looking to get away and restore my mental well-being among the red rocks. I got that and SO much more. As a solo traveler, the Community Table allowed me easy introductions to other travelers, and a new group of friends. The resort offers a diverse range of activities and trips so visitors can tailor the experience to what they want - you want spa days (great, RMR has it); you want beginner level hikes with lots of information on nature (absolutely, RMR has it); you want to challenge yourself rappelling, or white water rafting (guess what, RMR has it). While I went to restore and restart, I met a wide range of travelers with diverse interests who were all enjoying the options. I choose the all-inclusive option, and recommend it. Food was EXCELLENT, with bkft and lunch offered as buffets, with options for those with food sensitivities, and divine dinners served by lovely staff. Music on the weekends is a plus. For those interested in classes, I recommend trying “Drums Alive” and “Candlelight Yoga.” There is no such thing as a bad spa treatment. If you can choose your tour guide, Rhonda has my vote. I find myself looking longingly at the photos. This is not a place for a rowdy group, but for couples, friends, and solo travelers looking to slow down and appreciate the array of offerings. I can hardly wait to go back.

One of our favorite anniversary trips ever. We booked the Essential Retreat which was perfect for us as it included 3 DELICIOUS meals a day, guided hikes, activities from 6am-10pm if desired, and some of the BEST SLEEP we’ve had away from home! That package includes gratuities as well. And airport transfer when the St George airport is open. Gorgeous location in Snow Canyon. A gift/outdoor adventure shop with wonderful options. Every staff member we encountered so obviously cares about people and wants all to have a memorable trip! It was a fantastic trip and we can’t wait to return for another longer visit! Very hospitable staff Marcy, Barbara,Tracy, Matt and Chad always make us feel at home! Even if the weather isn’t perfect the activities are abundant and the views spectacular. Don’t forget your bathing suit, a hat and hiking boots....but if you do, they are reasonably priced at the gift shop and returning guests get a discounting purchases!

We unfortunately only stayed one night midway through a road trip, but I would have gladly stayed much longer! The site is beautiful, nestled into beautiful red rocks, revealing amazing stars at night. Staff who greeted us were incredibly nice and helpful, the breakfast was excellent, and the hot tub was lovely! I would go back in a heartbeat. The wellness retreats they offer also look interesting and worth checking out.

I booked a room for 3 nights online. I then called to change the dates - unfortunately this option is NOT available online. It was for the same number of nights in the same week and some of the dates were the same. The person who did it on the phone made a point of telling me that usually they would charge a $50 cancellation fee because it was considered a cancellation, but that she would not charge it. There are several issues with this. I understand that they charge a $50 CANCELLATION fee. Why would they charge the fee when someone is simply CHANGING the dates? Regardless of the cancellation policy, why would she even mention it - like she was doing me a favor. I found that whole experience dealing with her on the phone very strange. I am extremely uncomfortable about what to expect when we get there based on the mixed reviews I'm reading.
