Arrived a little early but the clerk let me sign in as there was a room ready. Very nice setup for breakfast.

Ladies at the desk were very friendly. First room had dirty bathroom. The clerk kindly moved us. Bathroom not completely clean.

Staff never cleaned our room...we stayed there 2 days and wasn't confortable be of this...breakfast is really poor!

Going down for a funeral which I was told would be Saturday . Had to change till Sunday so I call the hotel number on the email and said I need to stay extra night. Told no problem. Check in on Friday and again said I would be staying till Monday morning. Again no problem. Sunday at 11 same guy knocked on the door and said I had no reservation and made it sound like my fault cause I didn't call orbitz . Come to office immediately so I go pay again and have to change rooms. Worst customer service ever. Never said he was sorry.

Hands down the worst travel experience ever. I could not even sleep. I literally stayed in the middle of my bed with lights on while I watches roaches crawl everywhere. Owner/manager tells me It's not his problem. Ruined my little getaway. He should not even be allowed to carry the Howard Johnson name. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Facility maintenance better than most. Rooms tidied and towels changed daily. Everything worked properly. Minor painting needed on doors etc.

The air-conditioning cord was cut in half and splice back together and take together with electrical tape dangling out in the middle of the walkway in the room the walls had holes and were dirty, the toilet had not been clean from previous stays. There was an odor in the room that smelled like it was dirty and someone sprayed something like febreeze to cover it up.

Owner extremely rude. Hotel is dirty, needs update, carpet filthy had to ask for extra towels just to lay a path on the carpet so my feet would stop turning black, beds uncomfortable, bathroom dirty and needs to be painted. Holes need to be patched. Bugs that look like ticks on sink area. I stayed here before and had problems with toliet. Advised owner upon checking in and was very rude and told me they don't have any toliet issues. He neglected to inform me they had a ton of other issues. Will never stay again!

I stayed in two different rooms during my weekend stay. Room one #249 had an odor, TV didn't work properly, & urine stains were on the bathroom floor behind the toilet. Room two #247 had spiders, bath tub was not clean properly (with paint stains), and I received bed bug bites on my arm & chest areas. I will never ever (Chris Tucker voice) stay there again, Smh!

Checked in; night clerk was a bit rude and preoccupied. Felt like I was an imposition. Pretty much the same at checkout. Staff was not particularly enthusiastic. Room itself was comfortable; nothing spectacular, but adequate for what I needed.

This is the second time I stayed at this hotel and probably my last, just dont care for it. The roaches pretty much did it for me, only stayed here for the price of it.

I got a great deal on this hotel--it was about what you would expect for the money. The room did have a slight smell of bleach (which isn't always a bad thing) and it's about 6 miles from downtown St. Augustine (where all the attractions are), but it was a good deal. The sheets and bathroom were clean (which are the most important things to me), so I would stay here again.

Stained carpeting and upholstery, stained or dirty sheets, a black substance resembling coffee grounds on bed, molding around bathroom door that looked like termites had been feasting. It was hard to tell if the place was stained or dirty. Maybe both. Man sitting outside drinking at midnight. I couldn't drive any longer that night so decided to stay. We slept in our clothes for a few hours with our own pillows, then drove on home.

Hotel was cheapest around, but I will plan better next trip. No alarm clock...broken hair dryer...plain waffles and fruit were all gone before 8:30...smooth check in and out process...nice smiles... Room was not fresh, but it had a bed!

Good location for restaurants and some shopping. The bathroom needs a new toilet, however, overall the room was okay. The marquis is misleading with room rates and should be updated to include weekend rates.

The Hotel was a good deal, but they are in need of work on the cosmetic look. There was a big patched hole in the dining area, in the room the curtains had holes and even a 3 inch short area where you could see out to the parking lot. The carpets were sticky and smelled of ammonia. tops of the beds were dusty and the bathroom smelled of bleach but were in rough shape. A remodel is definitely needed.

I don't even know where to begin. I got to the hotel at 6pm and planned to check in and be somewhere at 7. Well I get here to find out they have no rooms. They hadnt been cleaned even though check in was at 3. Nobody informed me beforehand. I tried to get a refund to go and stay somewhere else and they wouldn't help me. The manager wasn't even here and they had people stacking up for check in with no rooms! Finally at 6:30pm they give me a room and it's horrendous. They were in such a rush they cleaned t so poorly. Bad maintenance on the property. The bathroom was disgusting and the front door was broken. This was supposed to be a quick and easy stay and it was just one giant headache. I paid way too much money to be so treated so poorly. DO NOT STAY HERE. DO NOT! Go somewhere else and pay a little extra because it's not worth it!!!!

Young lady at front desk was very friendly. Every other staff person we dealt with was hasty and rude. Breakfast was horrible and other guests were in shock at the lack of concern from staff that sat near by eating mc Donald's take out with personal guests while we were out of syrup, fruit, milk and waffle mix. The area was filthy. The room was ok as far as cleanliness. The old tv didn't get clear channels. They advertised new large flat screens. The WiFi was down all weekend and the grounds were covered in trash. I'd add photos if I could. Disappointed to say the least.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, it was so dirty. I don't think anyone had stayed in this room for a long time. The only thing that was decent was the bed.
