Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, St. Augustine Downtown Dist

Good location with the red train tour within walking distance. Hotel was clean but bed was a little stiff for my taste. The walls were thinner than expected as I was able to hear the televisions from the 2 rooms on either side of mine. Complimentary breakfast was good except for the "eggs".

the hotel is well worn and in need of rehab. staff was friendly. parking was good but room condition did not warrant price

Very nice and classy. I would recommend to someone.

Clothe Hanger hook too narrow has difficulty in hanging wet towels/wash cloth. Not enough hook to hang clothes.

Had to change rooms twice because of cleanliness and a leaky toilet. The staff was very accommodating throughout the experience.

The staff was very pleasant, the room and public areas were clean, but the carpet was obviously old and should be replaced. We had trouble with the heating/ac unit - it would only put out cold air. The front desk staffer brought us extra blankets (it was a cold weekend) and it was fixed the following day and the shower never did get very hot. The door to the room needed to be fixed so that it would close better - we were able to lock it, but had to push on it . Same with the door to the bathroom.

Hotel is not worth the amount paid. Staff is rude. Rooms are outdated, dirty and need of upkeep. Hotel is close to historic center which is a plus and they offer a nice breakfast.

Very nice and attentive staff. Angie at the front desk was super nice. I called the day before requesting an early check in and while she could not guarantee one, she would try. She sure did, and we were able to check in at 1:00, and get ready to make it downtown to the wedding. Otto in the breakfast bar was cordial and congenial as well, making us laugh at 7:30 in the morning! Thanks for a great stay!

Everything was nice with only one complaint, the air conditionig unfortunately was not up to par.but I have recommended to friends and family members.

Awesome trip. Staff suggestion to taxi to venue was spot on. Great food at Jaybird's nearby. Thanks Debbie!

Overall good experience. Staff was very friendly. It is about a mile and a half from old city. We walked it but it does get old. That's the only reason I wouldn't stay again

Pool was clean. Staff was helpful. Just a bit far to walk to downtown.

Short weekend getaway to St. Augustine and this hotel was really good for that. Slightly away from some of the main attractions of St. Augustine but the price is cheaper and it was a $7 cab ride to get to the thick if it, which is cheaper than an extra $50/night to stay closer. Overall, a good average hotel with very friendly staff to help accommodate to your needs.

Hotel was clean, beds were comfortable, A/C was quiet and staff was very friendly. Room shower was plumbed backwards, but we didn't complain. It worked great, just took a minute to figurine out. Bathrooms were super clean. Pool was nice. If visiting downtown you may want to drive. Just a bit outside of walking distance to St Augustine center and the college.

Our stay at the Country Inn & Suites by Carlson in St. Augustine was great! The hotel was located right down the road from popular attractions, the staff was very friendly and accommodating and the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies was the cherry on the entire stay.

Hotel staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Facility was very clean, everything else was as expected for the brand. Location is tricky getting to if you've never been to the area before, but once there and you come and go, it's easy to get to. It is close to the Fountain Of Youth Park, and it may be close to some other attractions as well but we were there only overnight passing through. Two complaints: 1) The beds (mattresses) while clean, were old, "squishy", and "lumpy". 2) In the hotel description, one is led to believe it is "close" and with in walking distance to downtown. Relative to what? well it is "closer" than the hotels by the interstate. And if walking a mile and a half down a dimly lit - very busy road just to get into the downtown district, is your idea of "walking distance", then I suppose the description is accurate. otherwise hotel met my expectations.... one other observation, if a pool is important to your stay, I have seen bigger above-ground pools. The hotel is in the tail end of renovations and perhaps in their defense, the mattresses will get replaced in the end, I did not think to ask.

We had a great time and the staff was super friendly. The room was clean. The area was nice. The people were very friendly. Didn't get to enjoy the pool because if the weather bit will next time. Would reconnect it to my friends. Thank you

Great experience. No problems at all with reservations. Great breakfast. Not too close to historic district if you prefer to walk from hotel. That part was misleading on the description. Other than that, great.

overall very enjoyable stay. breakfast more than adequate for continental. two minor problems with bathroom-shower curtain inadequate in preventing water onto bathroom floor, and tub took forever to drain.

Room could have been cleaner but good breakfast and helpful staff
